New Emperor Of Ghouls

Chapter 62 - 62: Losing Control

"I'm going to need your life."

The diamond apes all looked at him and laughed; Curling inwards, holding their stomachs and pointing at him like he said the dumbest thing ever.

Even the king diamond ape looked at him like he was stupid, which only served to make him shake his head.

"Do you know what happened to the people that mocked me in the past?"

He paced forward to the king grade beast with confidence in each step.

The laughter from the apes stopped.

Each step he took made the atmosphere turn more hostile. Circulating the spirit energy in the familiar pathways, a feeling of vast power erupted with him.

"They no longer live."

The surrounding monsters felt a tremendous change in the invader's body and grew angry at the arrogance of him.

The King ape roared at the unknown challenge and charged at Zhong Yi. It's diamond body shined and thickened becoming armour surrounding its body.

Zhong Yi's eyes narrowed as he took a martial arts stance. He swiped his leg forward in a circular motion and extended his right arm in a straight line; his hand opened into a claw.

He ducked under the ape's punch aimed at his head coming dangerously close to the ape's c.h.e.s.t before striking the beast in its c.h.e.s.t with a palm strike.

The ape's large body flew through the air crashing into a tree. It bounce off and dropped to the ground, lying limp onto the ground.

Terrified shrieks came from the apes in the trees as they all came down to surround the king ape.

"That was disappointing," Zhong Yi was severely disappointed.

He stayed inside the Sacred Ghoul Town doing work and cultivating. Now he finally had a chance to let loose on something that should've been able to handle his

"Oh well, at least chaos will get-" The sound of trees breaking from a fast-moving object caught his attention as his head turned, too late, to see a large boulder before his face.

It smashed into him at such a force that he actually felt pain from the hit. His body was sent flying through the air from the force of the collision.

He reacted quickly enough to latch onto a branch from a tree and swung himself onto it.

When he turned back around, the disappointment from earlier was replaced with blood thirst.

Next to the defeated King ape, were two more king grade apes. These two were bigger by 5 and 3 metres. The smaller one cradled the original ape to her c.h.e.s.t whereas the bigger one stared at Zhong Yi with anger emanating of him in waves.

The bigger one roared before turning back to its family and all the apes charged at Zhong Yi.

He ran into the crowd of apes using nothing but his fists. His left arm hooked round to hit an ape in its jaw, sending it crashing into the ones beside it.

Zhong Yi's ducked under an ape trying to tie him down and grabbed it by the leg, he swung the diamond ape in a circle swatting other apes away like flies before his other hand reached for the neck.

*CRACK*

Blue blood sprayed onto his face, flowing down his cheek and dripping onto Chaos. His eye glowed menacingly as he stared at the apes who cautiously circled around him.

He threw the dead body at an ape and his body faded from view like an afterimage.

Apes started flying through the air.

Thanks to his stage 4-5 cultivation stage, he could move unchallenged amongst the apes.

A thud from something hard impacting flesh, followed by the sound of bones breaking and then the thud from bodies crashing into the ground and never standing up, repeated itself over and over and over again.

By the time Zhong Yi stopped, out of the 324 apes who besieged him, only 3 stood before him shaking rapidly. If he didn't know it was fear, he would've thought they were having a seizure.

A perverse smile plastered itself onto his handsome features as he kicked one the last remaining apes with such force, its head partly ripped from its neck, hanging loosely from bits of skin.

He looked at the other two and grabbed then by the neck. His hand tightened around their necks, harder and harder till.

*Crack*

But he still held onto them even after their eyes became soulless, tightening his fist. After he let them go, their necks looked like half-eaten apples.

His eyes had long forgone their red colour, instead, his eye was black in colour. The same black that would swallow your soul when you stare into them.

Running out of targets to kill, Zhong Yi's head craned to the side staring at the three King apes to the side.

The larger ape, possibly the father, stood protectively in front of the other two.

Its blue eyes were narrowed while watching the human losing himself to his blood l.u.s.t. The father king ape roared to the two behind, keeping his eyes on the monster before him.

The mother ape roared back at the father, cradling the child ape closer to her c.h.e.s.t, a defiant look in her eyes signalled the start of an argument at the worst of times.

Zhong Yi watched with amus.e.m.e.nt as the apes shrieked and grunted back and forth like they had an entire conversation.

Deciding enough was enough, he crouched low enough for a sprint startup. Spirit energy coursed through his pathways into the muscles in his legs and arms.

The ape saw the change in the human's posture and its grunts had a hint of fear and impatience in them. Its turned to the left to look at his partner and child.

Its blue eye softened.

Zhong Yi smiled. His black eyes carried a ruthlessness unseen before as his body faded into an afterimage. When he appeared, he stood in front of the father ape and ran his hand through the beast's c.h.e.s.t.

Whimpers came from the mother ape and child ape who regained consciousness. A final roar from the father ape made the mother ape grab the child and run into the forest as she could move. The roars from the child echoed through the forest.

Soon she disappeared and the child from view, swinging from tree to tree.

Zhong Yi felt anger build up within him from king disappearing. He withdrew his arms coated in blue blood from the ape's c.h.e.s.t, intending on chasing after the two apes.

But a large hang encased around his torso and threw him into the air.

The anger inside continued to grow.

He sent spirit energy into the city lord seal and stopped his ascent into the air.

The anger inside him continued to grow.

He looked down to see the surprise in Father ape's eyes.

His rational side was desperately trying to regain control, but anger continues to build inside of him.

He descended back to the ground and stood in front of the father ape, who was hanging onto a thread of life with determination.

The anger inside him reached a bottleneck.

His legs shook as he raised it, into the air.

Darkness began to consume his sight.

Like an executioner's axe, his foot dropped onto the ape's head.

He saw wisps of white light enter Chaos and wrap around his body,

The feeling of endless power surged through his body as his king's power surged through his body.
