The person looked at me sternly,

Then with careful steps it walked towards me,

It seems that my fear, stops from worsening,

After I realized, right there, won't be the worst thing I'm having.

It was a woman, with concern present on her face,

Had her hand reach to me, trying to gain my trust,

And although I've been wary of people, this doesn't seem to be the case,

I tried to speak to her, but she seems to be mute,

So that's what caused our first dispute,

It turns out it was all just a misunderstanding,

I feel ashamed, I shouldn't be asking.

It's as if for a moment excitement made me forget the hungry monsters below us,

She quickly held my hand and we went to her hiding spot,

But it seems like there's still problems for me to fix,

Especially when I found out she had other rescues-and most were sick.

She wrote on a piece of paper that I needed to help her,

"Me, seriously? But I'm no fighter,"

But she insisted, told me that I'm one of the strongest,

Are they asking for a suicide buddy?

'Cause I ain't willing to play hero like the rest.

But she kept being pushy,

so I accepted nonetheless.
