Chapter 25: Rest Early

He picked up the towel and wrapped her hair with it for a few minutes. Then he placed it by the side.
“Rest up,” he said. He turned off the light and lowered the brightness of the bedside lamp.
Gu Chuyan heard him leaving. She turned around and asked, “Where are you going?”
Didn’t he say there’s only one bed? Where’s he planning to go?
“I still have a business to attend to. I will sleep in the study,” he replied. He closed the balcony and departed with his tall and sturdy back facing her.
Gu Chuyan raised her hand. She looked at the wound on the back of her hand. The warmth from his hand seemed to still be lingering there. She touched the back of her hand then she pinched herself suddenly.
“Gu Chuyan, can you control yourself? Don’t daydream just because he’s handsome,” she muttered to herself. She closed her eyes. She felt a sense of security as she lay in bed so she was able to fall asleep quickly.
She felt someone moving towards her. The person stood at the side of the bed and looked at her for some time. Then the person lifted the blanket and placed it on top of her. He pushed the hair on her face away with his fingers before turning off the lamp.
In the morning, Gu Chuyan turned in bed. One of her legs dropped off the bed. She woke up in fright and quickly pulled her leg back.
She lay in bed and groaned. Then, she opened her eyes.
There were many bags on the table not far away from the bed. She raised her head and looked at the time. Suddenly, she sat up. “I need to go to school today.”
She looked at the sports attire she was wearing. Then she looked beside her. There were no signs of anyone else having slept in the bed.
She walked in front of the table and looked at the bags. They were all Chanel bags. There were around ten sets of clothes inside as well as some outerwear and shoes. The amount of clothes here was equivalent to the amount of clothes she bought over the past ten years.
Her small face turned slightly red. Her imagination started to run wild. Her body shrank in fright.
For some reason, her imagination had always been running wild lately.
She touched her face awkwardly. She chose a casual outfit as well as a black overcoat. She put on black short boots as she jogged out of the house.
“Madam.” Han Changqing was standing outside the door. He greeted her politely.
His appearance gave her a huge fright.
“Han Changqing, why are you here?” she asked.
Han Changqing didn’t tell her that he had waited for her for an hour! However, Xiao Mohan specifically told him not to disturb her. That was why he had waited until now.
“I came to take you to school,” Han Changqing replied.
Gu Chuyan waved her hands hurriedly. “There’s no need for that. I can go myself.”
Han Changqing was handsome and he had a perfect figure. He moved elegantly and his speech was refined. If this man showed up with her, rumors would definitely go around.
“You won’t be able to find a car,” he reminded her.
They were in the middle of a mountain. No unregistered cars were allowed to enter the mountain. If she wanted to walk down the mountain, it would take at least two hours.
“Sorry to trouble you then.” She knew that he was telling the truth.
Han Changqing drove the Ferrari towards the city. Forty minutes later, the car stopped at the side of the road not far from Gu Chuyan’s school.
“Madam, do you plan to stay at school?”
“I always stay at school,” Gu Chuyan replied. She rarely went back to the Gu family home. Gu Yan probably allowed her to stay at school because he was afraid she would disturb his family time with Gu Miaoting and Lian Zhenzhen.
“Okay.” Han Changqing didn’t say much more. He got out of the car and opened the door for her.
When Gu Chuyan was about to leave, Han Changqing lifted his hand and passed her an item. “Madam, the password is your birthday.”
“I don’t need money.” It was a black card with gold embedded on it. This was a limited edition card. Even Gu Yan didn’t have the right to have this card.
Han Changqing grabbed her wrist and stuffed the card into her hand. “Please call me if you need anything.”
