Nightingale's Wish Came True

Chapter 1 - A mistake

Warm rays of sunlight filtered through the silk curtains. Roland tightened his embrace around the women next to him, c.a.r.e.s.sing her soft skin. Snuggling on her shoulder, he breathed in her fresh aroma of...dried fish. Roland's eyes burst wide open and he was greeted by a pool of blonde hair. He felt a splitting headache coming as the memories of last night flooded towards him. He remembered forcefully kissing Nightingale and pulling her to bed.

"Shit!" Roland muttered under his breath. This must be due to the newly brewed chaos drink, it did not taste like alcohol at all but was able to make him drunk so quickly. Did it contain a chemical compound with a similar to alcohol? Roland pushed this train of thought aside. More importantly, how was he going to explain to Anna? She was currently out in the Fjords helping with the industrialisation process and here he was betraying her trust!

Nightingale suddenly turned, her head now tucked into his c.h.e.s.t. Roland tensed, consciously feeling her body for the first time. She was very different from Anna, besides her soft skin, her muscles were harder and she had a much fuller figure. As if she knew that Roland was thinking about, Nightingale's eyes fluttered open.

Realising that she was in Roland's embrace, her cheeks turned red and she smiled shyly, initially trying to avoid his eyes. However, since they already 'did it' there was nothing more to hide. She had to make full use of this once in a lifetime opportunity granted to her. Gathering her confidence, Nightingale met Roland's deep grey eyes and gave him a full kiss on the lips.
