Nikita

Rael, Morgana, and Dave had been close to Nikita's office when the doctor growled and shouted, and boy did they rush through the doors, breaking the poor mahogany in the process, shocking everyone in the room, including the good doctor himself.

They hadn't expected that the doctor would be in distress in his own office. All they knew was that the person who was holding him captive had better have fighting skills because they would be in for a rough six o'clock, and it wasn't a prank.

"You lay a finger on him, I will take you to fuċkɨnġ Narnia myself, and that's a promise," Rael said to Maggie, who was still shocked by Nikita's shouts.

Of all the things the mad doctor could have shouted, help was the worst of them all, which is why they were in a predicament right now. Morgana and Dave had their guns aimed at Qiao while Rael had hers on Maggie.

Qiao was still in his uniform, but that didn't stop the trio from treating him as a suspect. Of course, they knew the guy, but still, they needed confirmation that he was still on their side.

They had watched so many people turn on the doctor over the years, people the doctor had trusted and cared for. People he had saved who still dared to throw the doctor under the bus, and with all the ongoing chaos in Todorov and the internet about the Pavlenko family, they could all only think of one thing.

They were not trusting that anyone had Nikita's best interests at heart. The doctor was their god, and they would protect him from everything that threatened him, and right now, Maggie and Qiao looked like the threat, and they weren't going to take any chances.

"Move, slowly, and do not touch anything, or I swear—" Rael said as she pointed her gun at Maggie, directing her away from Nikita. This wasn't something they would take a chance with.

Kyle, who watched the whole encounter at their headquarters, just facepalmed. He had told the trio that Magie and Qiao were their allies and stressed on it, but there they were, pointing their guns at their allies.

Anyway, he was curious as to how this would turn out.

"Drop your weapon," Morgana said to Qiao, who looked at the trio that had just barged in. He didn't know them, and there was just no way he was letting them close to his brother. Just because they were claiming to be on the side of the good doctor didn't mean they were really there for him.

If anything, they were probably sent by the people who had installed the kill switches. It didn't help that the door to Nikita's office was no longer there.

The three idiots had broken it.

"Don't you even think of doing anything, and I'mma drop it after you drop yours, or we can stay here and point the guns in our faces till the officers walk through that door.

"Tell me something, and you didn't think that breaking the door to Nikita's office would attract no attention now?" Qiao said as he pointed both his guns at Morgana and Dave. It would be an extraordinary situation if they played mortal combat with each other, but they weren't.

They already had the kill switch from one of the eyes and had come to check on Nikita when they had heard the creator cry out for help.

"Honestly, we didn't think that far," Dave said, his voice different and angrier before adding, "But now that it's already happened, let's see who will take down who. This should be interesting, oh officer of the militia law" he mocked, and Qiao looked at them before looking at Nikita.

His body had jerked forward, and right now, he was seated on the bed, apparently oblivious to what was happening around him, playing around with his IV like it was the most exciting thing in the room. 

"Oh my God, Qiao, what happened here, and is Nikita—okay?" Liza said when she reached Nikita's room only to get the surprise of her life.

Three shooters and women in the doctor's room. Instantly, Rael got her second gun out and quickly pointed it to Liza. The director considered calling for help, but Maggie stopped her.

"—Don't press that, Liza. These are clearly Nikita's proteges, and only they would break through the security system and get in here at the speed they got in. The door can be fixed; just tell everyone to back off the third floor, and the children should stay in their rooms.

"Nikita will be angry with all of us if the children saw this state," Maggie said to Liza, who just nodded and told everyone to steer clear of Nikita's room.

"You too, Qiao Xi, call off your squadron," Maggie said, way too relaxed for someone who had a gun pointed at her. She didn't care about what was or wasn't aimed at her, and she was more worried about Nikita. 

"I'd say close the door, but well, there's no door. Now someone better explain what you all did to our boss and why he looks like a cabbage head," Rael said, her guns still aimed at the two women in the room. She hated this, but she needed to be sure they were a team.

She needed to be sure they wouldn't ham the head of their small family.

"He was sedated. Mykolajki had a mental breakdown in the middle of the chaos and was about to cause himself tentative harm. So we decided to put him to sleep. Since Liam showed up looking like Yuri, Nikita hasn't been doing okay.

"It's like he's finally crashing, and he's not doing anything to stop it. We tried to get him to grieve, but no one has been able to." Liza sighed defeatedly as the trio dropped their guns while looking at their boss.

They knew he had been suffering, but they didn't know what to do either. They weren't sure there was a remedy for Nikita. He needed to face the truth, and he needed to mourn, and the scandals were not even making their situation any better.

It was already six o'clock in the morning, and everyone in Nikita's room could agree that the good doctor needed rest and sleep. He needed therapy, though putting him back to sleep wasn't fair on him.

They had to let him make his own choices and could only hope that he didn't break down in the process. After all, he was their hope to understand the madness.

"Y'all better have a really good explanation why my office has no door," Nikita said.
