No Choice: You Were Always Mine

Chapter 6 - Rollercoaster of Emotions

While everyone was excited about Samaiya getting married soon, Mr. Agarwal was sitting in a corner feeling depressed all by himself.

"What happened to you?" Mrs. Agarwal said, rushing to his side. "Why are you so sad?"

"My precious daughter… is now all grown up." Mr. Agarwal said, with a crack in his voice.

"Yes, I know dear. Now she will get married soon." His wife said while patting his back.

"That's exactly the problem, everyone is so excited to send her to another family. I want her to stay with us forever." Mr. Agarwal said, throwing a tantrum for his precious daughter.

"It is time for her to start her own life and form her own family. We as her parents must ensure she is on the right path with the right person." Mrs. Agarwal said in a calm voice trying to reason with her husband.

"But… We are her family. She can just live her life with us." MR. Agarwal said in a sad voice.

Seeing her husband's unreasonable attitude, she knew that trying to explain him anything at that state will only make him sadder and depressed.

Sighing she asked, "Do you want grandchildren?"

"Yes, of course I do. When they are young is the best time." Mr Agarwal said perking up at the idea of small children running around their house.

"It's been a long time since these children of ours were cute and naughty." She continued quickly trying her best to keep his mood up.

"Yes, I miss them relying on us for every other thing and them being small." He said while reminiscing of the past.

"Do you know the only way to get grandchildren…"

"Is by Samaiya and Akshara starting their own families." He completed her sentence excited at the idea of small children running around and doing silly things.

"LET'S MARRY OFF Samaiya. Then we can look for a groom for Akshara." He said, already imagining children running around the house.

In another corner of the house

"Jijaji, I don't think the plan that mom came up with will work. The direction is too obvious, so I came up with another plan." Akshara was talking over the phone, with a sly smile on her face.

"Tell me future sister what should I do!" Ishaan replied, curious to what this girl was about to suggest.

"Let's fake a robbery, or I can take my sister out to the club to have some fun and we can hire some Gundas to mess around, when things start to get serious you can be a knight in shining armour and save the day." Akshara said, satisfaction written all over her face at the amazing idea she came up with.

She heard a chuckle at her ear, "Where did you get this idea from? Please don't lie saying you thought of it yourself." Ishaan said.

Embarrassed she replied, "Do you want my sister or not."

"I do," Ishaan said in all seriousness.

"Then listen to me. I know my sister has always dreamt of a prince charming to save her. Let's just say that me and sis have watched too many unrealistic movies, which had lines that sounded good because it was on TV." Akshara said, already thinking about a movie to re-watch.

"The only thing left is to hire people who won't turn traitor after seeing sis and me." Akshara continued.

"Leave that to me." Ishaan said.

"Then it's decided congratulations on your soon to be engagement." Akshara said as she hung up the phone.

She was walking towards her parents gleefully, thinking about her perfect plan, when she noticed her parents were being weird. She quietly went closer to them to listen to what they were talking about. When she heard about a plan to marry her off as soon as possible, she jumped in fear, glaring at her parents.

"DADDY, MOMMY, how can you even say that!!!" Akshara started screaming in anger.

"Aye! Akshara you scared us. Don't scream like that unless it's something serious." Mrs. Agarwal was the first to recover from the shock of her stupid daughter's antics.

"Akshara are you trying to give us a heart-attack, what's the problem now." Mr Agarwal said in a strict voice. Scolding his daughter for her behaviour.

Akshara pouted, annoyed that they were scolding her when she had all the right to be angry. "You guys want to send me away. You want to get me married. I don't want to leave you yet mommy, daddy." She said as tears started to trickle down her face.

This hit the soft spot of her parents, they immediately went over to her to give a tight hug.

"Don't worry baby, you are going to be stuck with us for a long time before we will allow you to marry and leave us." Mr. Agarwal said, not able to stand the thought of both of his daughters being married. As he would be left alone in the house.

They were happy to know that their daughter still wanted to stay with them. As they were busy with the feelings of happiness and love that was blooming from their hearts they didn't notice the tears which turned into an enormous smile almost instantly.

'This will keep their minds far away from the thought of marrying me anytime soon.' Akshara thought happily, amazed by her own acting abilities. 'Maybe I can even become an actress,' Akshara continued thinking allowing her thoughts to run wild.

Samaiya had seen the drama that just happened as she came down the stairs. She went towards her naughty sister and whispered, "Akshara the only person you can fool are mom and dad. Don't get ahead of yourself you can't be an actress, you're not pretty enough."

In true elder sister style. Samaiya ensured to knock down her sister a few notches, knowing her sister's narcissistic personality, if she didn't her sister would have already been in space by now.

"Humph. Samaiya you can be so mean. You hurt my feelings." Akshara said, pouting.

"Yeah right." Samaiya said while nodding her head and chuckling.

"Ahh, why do you have to always be right." Akshara said, knowing her sister was kidding. 'Why does this demon understand me so well' she thought in annoyance.

"Because I'm your elder sister." Samaiya said already knowing what her sister was thinking by her face, Aksh was just too expressive.

"No! You are just scary; how did you know what I was thinking?"

"Magic." With those words Samaiya walked away, she had work to do that was piling up.

1. Jijaji- Sisters husband (brother-in-law)
