Not Like In The Movies

Morning came and the ladies made their way (via chauffeur) to the airport. After a couple of minutes, they got to the plane and were off to China.

They arrived back to Beijing and they said their thanks and good byes. Some of the ladies were picked up by their boyfriends while the rest made their way to their homes via a cab like Zhen Zhu. Zhen Zhu could be spotted wearing a wide tunics and leggings, accompanied by white snickers as she dragged her luggage to a cab.

She leaned back at the cab and pulled out her phone from her bag and booted a game she was found of. She decided not to call Fei Shuang and surprise her instead. She knew that lazy woman would probably be sleeping at that moment.

*CLICK*

"I'm home." Zhen Zhu said as she opened the door to her apartment only to be greeted by her dog who ruffed and ran happily to her direction. She immediately let go of her luggage and picked him up.

"My Angel!" Zhen Zhu screamed, "i missed you so much, ah~" she burst out into laughter as Angel kept l.i.c.k.i.n.g her face. That soft sensation of his warmed her heart. She was really happy that he's growing so well.

"Eh? Where is your care taker?" Zhen Zhu stopped laughing for a moment as she observed the sitting room. She couldn't find Fei Shuang and the place was quiet.

"I'm here." The door to the bedroom gave way and Fei Shuang could be seen maneuvering her control stick. "I was at the bathroom. You should have called me to come pick you." She said, pouting. She really missed her so much and didn't know how to express it.

"Mmmm," Zhen Zhu mumbled, before walking forward and hug her. "I wanted to surprise you. I missed you." She said offhandedly.

"I missed you too." Fei Shuang said softly as she hugged her back. They stayed like that for a brief moment before letting go of each others embrace.

"You must be tired and hungry. Come sit down,let me prepare something for you to it." Fei Shuang suggested after seeing her friend subconsciously hold her back. That must've been a result of longer flight.

"Sure, thank you." Zhen Zhu smiled as she sat on the sofa and relaxed. She felt so tired on the plane, ended up having a backache and a bad case of jet lag. If only she could get a massage.

"Ah~ I'm so full." Zhen Zhu let out a loud burp as she just finished a second bowl of beef hot and sour rice noodles. She didn't know how she finished all in no time.

"You're becoming lazy now." Fei Shuang made a face and pouted. She watched her eat her food just because she was tired.

"You think so?" Zhen Zhu crinkled her nose, immediately dropping the empty glass of water.

Fei Shuang only grinned brightly, looking at her friend in the eye. "Yeah i do. Now tell me,how was your trip?"

Zhen Zhu stuffened as her eyes narrowed. She didn't want to answer that question. Not after all the embarrassing moments that happened.

"Big Jiu gave me this a.d.u.l.t footie pajamas and a water bottle as a parting gift to you." She immediately changed the topic as she reaches for her luggage.

"Ah~ It's so pretty~" Fei Shuang's eyes shoned with excitement as she looked at the gifts all in purple. That was her favourite colour.

"Wait, you still haven't answered my question." She wrinkled her eyebrows after realizing that Zhen Zhu was avoiding her question.

"It was...fine,fine fine fine fine." Zhen Zhu lied through her teeth, mumbling the word 'fine' over and over again.

"I see,you just said 'fine' like five times..." Fei Shuang smiled, then continued, "what really happened? I want the juicy details."

"That's—" Zhen Zhu said with hesitation, "a long story. Let's chat on the to the kitchen~

To be honest... And so that is how it unfolded" Zhen Zhu sighed with her head facing down after telling Fei Shuang everything.

"..."

'It doesn't seem too terrible, it all seems like a movie.' Fei Shuang thought in her mind.

Fei Shuang s.u.c.k.e.d in a breath. The next second, she let it out and gave a burst of rumbling laughter that came directly from her heart.

"Stop. It's not funny." Zhen Zhu squeaked as she gently hit Fei Shuang by the arm. Again, Fei Shuang burst out into laughter.

"I'm sorry, i just couldn't hold it." she confessed in a small voice.

"I shouldn't have told you. You're no more my bestie." Zhen Zhu said sourly. What kind of a friend would laugh at the other in that kind of situation? She should be sympathizing,yet there she was,laughing as if Jim Kerry's on tv.

The other burst out into wild laughter. "Aiyaa...i'm sorry, but that was so childish of you two!" Fei Shuang gasped, the excitement clearly overtaking her. "How could you two say something that embarrassing? Scratching balls? Stupid face?" she rested at a fit of continuous giggles, but she sounded delighted by her confession.

"Yes,scratching balls." And Zhen Zhu accidentally blushed hard as she remembered his n.a.k.e.d body from last two nights.

"You're blushing, which means there's upgrade between you and Doctor Xiao!" Fei Shuang spouted out excitedly and grabbed Zhen Zhu's arm, "Tell me," Fei Shuang demanded in a high voice when she realized that Zhen Zhu had no intention of continuing.

"Back off bish," Zhen Zhu g.r.o.a.n.e.d as she looked at her friend's reaction. "I don't know, I just don't like him." she confessed in a low tone.

'I just need to show her Doctor Xiao good side, his kindness towards women and his intelligence. I heard people develop feelings for those they've heard good things about. I hope this works.' Fei Shuang thought for a second.

"Uh..." Fei Shuang sighed deeply, "it's exhausting being matchmaker without having anyone notice." she shook her head in disappointment.

"Blah blah blah. Be quiet. Doctor Xiao is a crazy psycho." Zhen Zhu snickered. She watched as her friend gave out a smirk.

"Oh no.. is there any guy who is normal in this world?" Fei Shuang patted her forehead feeling like an idiot. How can her bestie be so dumb and blind? Doesn't she know how hard it was to find a quality man in Beijing? Mr Shen had all the qualities needed from good looks to caring, sweet, tall, and responsible.

"Absolutely no, they're all buttheads!" Zhen Zhu roller her eyes heavenwards, knowing her friend would think of something out of sense.

The chat went on teasingly as Fei Shuang kept gleaming with joy. They watched tv and ate some snacks. By the end of the day, they were tired to their bones and in need of sleep. That is how Thursday was spent.
