Now, Where Am I?

We were talking about all this and Elly and Peggy came and Steve came too. Both were looking 'made for each other' couple. I wont pry into it more. The gist of it was that they both got married and now Steve is working for me in GIN.

Everything is sailing smoothly; Elly is happy with Steve. I am happy with Eve, Peggy and Natasha. SHIELD has started its experiments with tesseract. Natasha fills me with everything which Fury does in secret and Meg has total control over its digital base.

She has been constantly deleting any data about me except my personal information and my company. Only Fury knows about me.

{Somewhere in an underground unit}

Some people in white lab coats are talking to each other. A very familiar figure is fiddling with a machine. It was Dr. Selvig. He was checking some calculations. Near the terrace we can see a man watching over the people from above.

Outside the building a chopper has just landed, two figures came out from that. One was a girl (Maria Hill), and other was Nick Fury, The present director of SHIELD. Coulson was waiting for them near the helipad. They went with him inside the lab.

Fury: "How bad it is?"

Coulson: "That's the problem, sir. We don't know. Dr. Selvig read an energy surge from the tesseract four hours ago."

Fury: "NASA didn't authorise Selvig to go to test phase."

Coulson: "He wasn't testing it. He wasn't even in the room. Spontaneous event."

Fury: "What are the energy levels now."

Coulson: "Climbing. When Selvig couldn't shut it down, we ordered evacuation."

Fury: "How long to get everyone out?"

Coulson: "Campus should be clear in the next half hour"

Fury: "Do better"

Fury left with Maria and left Coulson to increase the speed of evac. Maria was asking about the next phase of action

Hill: "Sir, Selvig is our only guy. If he can't do it then no one can"

Fury: "This is where you are wrong Agent Hill. We have got someone who can do it all alone and Selvig knows it too. We are working on his research papers."

Hill: "There is no such in our database"

Fury: "He is out of our bounds, The Silver Wolf"

Hill: "You mean the only living 5 stars General, Kyle Silvers."

Fury: "Exactly"

Hill: "You should have contacted him first about this experiment"

Fury: "He refused our every request. He doesn't want to get in this mess again. Maybe we will need him again. The One-man army"

Hill: "Should I contact him?"

Fury: "Okay but first we have something else to do."

Hill: "Yes Sir"

They took the lift and went to the lowest floor now they are on stairs to their way to lab. Maria Hill is constantly checking the reports over the phone. Both of them are rushing to the underground unit.

Fury: "Report Agent"

Hill: "Sir, Evacuation may be futile."

Fury: "We should tell them to go back to sleep?"

Hill: "If we can't control the tesseracts energy, there may not be a minimum safe distance."

Fury: "I need you to make sure the Phase 2 prototypes are shipped out."

Hill: "Sir, is that really a priority right now?"

Fury: "Until the world end, we will act as though it intends to spin on. Load every piece of Phase 2 on a truck and move on. Inform General Kyle for me please."

Hill: "Yes sir."

Maria Hill left Fury alone. She called two guards with her and went to do what Fury asked for. Fury went inside the Lab and looked at the tesseract that was glowing in a bright blue light. He looked for Selvig. Selvig was fiddling with the machine which hold the tesseract.

Fury: "Talk to me Doctor. Is there anything we know for certain?"

Selvig: "The tesseract is misbehaving. It's not only active but its behaving."

Fury: "Then just shut the damn thing off"

Selvig: "It's an energy source. It powers up itself. If it reaches peak level…"

Fury: "We prepared for this. Harnessing energy from this stone."

Selvig: "We never were. We can't harness energy from it."

Fury: "But you have the research Doctor. You have the tools, you have everything"

Selvig: "Then find the researcher. I can't do it. We don't have the minds to understand the research on our own. My calculations are far from completion using modern day super computers and you say this researcher did it in 1950s. There are so many things which are just concluded in those researches. Maybe the man himself never wanted anyone to research this again. Maybe he knows what will happen."

Fury: "Calm Down Selvig. We only have the research. Can you tell me what is happening with it?"

Selvig: "It throwing off interference, radiation. Nothing harmful, low level of gamma radiation."

Fury: "That can be harmful"

Fury: "Where's Agent Barton?"

Selvig: (Scoffs) "The Hawk? Up in his nest, as usual."

Fury left Selvig with tesseract and dialled Barton on radio. Barton was looking over the whole research from the top. All alone in the dark. Maybe he is insomniac. I don't know. I feel speedy when my surroundings are dark. Maybe there is some problem with me. He sees Fury calling him and went to meet him.

Fury: "I gave you this detail so you could keep a close eye in things."

Barton: "Well, I see better from a distance."

Fury: "So anything about this?"

Barton: "Nothing, nothing happened on this end."

Fury: "What do you mean this end?"

Barton: "The research said that it works as a gate, so it can be opened from both sides, right?"

When Barton finished his sentence. The whole base started shaking. Energy was radiating from the cube at high levels. The whole base rumbled. Then a beam shot out of the tesseract opening a portal inside there.

I was inside my home. I was feeling a little uncomfortable today. Eve told me that I am connected with stones so whenever they will be used, I will feel uneasy. I felt a massive spike in my mood and I understood that THE TIME FOR AVENGERS HAS COME.
