Ocean Of Broken Dreams

"You must step back and then slash the incoming tentacles!" – Instructed Alexander from some distance. – "Clack." – Right in this moment appeared Bone. He held three Tryq's hearts.

Alexander shook his head. – "No…" – He as about to refuse the skeleton's offer but a sudden thought stopped him. – "You can eat one, and I will store the other two. They are useful to recover energy!"

Bone obeyed and swallowed one heart. His flame didn't show any change, but Alexander still heard a satisfied "Clack".

Victor just finished fighting his foe and was still gasping for a breath when he returned near Alexander. Martin also appeared from the forest. He was in much better condition and was even smiling. Both gave to Alexander the monster's hearts.

"Now that you can easily kill a small Moon Tryq…" – He subconsciously looked at Victor who lowered his gaze. – "We can go ahead with our plan." – He signaled to Bone and the skeleton ran into the forest.

After a few minutes he returned holding something.

"SQUUUUICK!!!"

"Clack!"

He managed to capture one of the creatures and took it here. Alexander nodded and explained. – "M.a.t.u.r.e Tryqs are very protective…It's really surprising that it didn't already appear and attack us since we're decimating the small ones."

He took out a dagger and suddenly, with one swift move cut one of the Tryq's tentacles. – "SQUISQUIIIIK!!!!"

"The Big One won't be able to resist the urge to slaughter us."

*Swish*

Another tentacle flew in the air followed by a pained scream. – "Especially now, when we're torturing on of it's kids!"

Some sort of brutal air appeared around Alexander and made the two guards shiver.

"Maybe…Maybe it won't come?" – Asked Victor after the sixth tentacle fell on the ground. On Alexander face appeared a very thoughtful expression and he took out the bestiary. *Swish*

A few drops of Tryq's blood splattered on the book as he searched for the right page. – "Hmmm…No! It definitely…"

"ROOOOOAR"

Alexander stepped aside and tree trunk fell right on the spot where he was standing before. A branch scratched his cheek. – "…would appear!"

The book disappeared and was substituted by the dagger. – "Be ready!"

They saw as the trees fell under the impact of something very big and heavy.

Even before the creature appeared Alexander suddenly dashed forwards stepped on the truck of a nearby tree and jumped forwards.

The creature appeared right the next moment and the Boy violently slashed with burning dagger. He managed to hit one of the tentacles and cut half of it!

"ARGHRR!"

The creature immediately retaliated and caught his ankle. The world suddenly spun in Alexander's eyes and his body was slammed against the ground.

'Damn it, I was careless…' Was his only thought.

*BOOOM*

His body hit a tree, leaving a deep mark on it. Blood spurted from Alexander's mouth.

All of this happened in a few seconds and Bone also started attacking. By eating a lot of hearts, he became more powerful in these two days.

A punch covered with white flame repelled the tentacle and even managed to…slightly freeze it!

Martin and Victor also started fighting and with somehow unconvincing fighting roar ran towards the creature.

*SBAM*

Alexander burning with green flame body hit the ground another time and Tryq suddenly looked at Bone who was successfully damaging its tentacles.

Tryq opened its mouth full of sharp fangs and shot an energy beam. The next moment bone immediately changed his stance and…

*PEEW*

The blood-colored ray was gently pushed and guided by the Bone's palm. It changed trajectory and circ.u.mvented the skeleton.

*BROOM*

A small crater was formed by the impact and Bone was sent flying forward right towards the creature. Bone managed to bend the energy ray but five tentacles which followed behind didn't bypassed his body and slammed into it.

A few of his bones were immediately broken into many pieces.

"Now!"

Shouted Alexander. Martin and Victor dashed towards the creature from opposite sides and thrusted their swords.

Tryq punched Victor in the face and hurled him away. On the other hand, Martin's sword finally pierced the creature's upper body.

He smiled victoriously but Tryq suddenly glanced at him. Martin felt an imminent danger, but it was too late. A huge clawed hand gripped his throat. – "YOU'RE MINE!" – A small figure with sharp flaming object in its hand appeared above the creature's head and slashed. In the same moment Tryq threw Martin away and turned his head towards the new attacker. A bloody ray shot towards the boy.

"ROOOOOOOOOOOOOARRRRRRRRRRAHGHHHGH!!!"

A long horn was immediately burned to ashes and the Tryq staggered. Alexander fell not to far away. Half of his body way black and scorched.

He managed to slightly tune his body to avoid being killed in one hit.

'[Freeze I]'

A blue flame gave him a few second of rest from the pain. '[Life IV]'

"Few…Minutes…Survive…" – Were the only words he managed to say with his remaining lung. Victor stood up.

"Clack!" – Shouted Bone. Victor nodded and approached the monster. A few tentacles immediately shot towards him but surprisingly missed the target and hit the ground. 'He can't see us!' – Immediately understood Victor and cut off one of the tentacles.

"ARGHR!"

Tryq immediately turned towards him and tried to unsuccessfully catch the aggressor. *PAH* Bone's white burning fist hit the creature's c.h.e.s.t.

Victor continued slashing the randomly wiggling tentacles.

Tryq was slowly suppressed by their continuous attacks. Martin's body suddenly twitched, and he slowly stood up. The earlier impact stunned him. He grabbed the sword, shook his head to drive away the dizziness, and with a roar ran towards Tryq.

"SHUT UP!" – Screamed Victor.

Bone produced a "Clack!" which probably signified "Idiots".

The monster's rabbit ears twitched. It slightly recovered from the initial trauma of losing the main horn.

"ROOAR!" The tentacles suddenly tensed and propelled Tryq's huge body towards Victor. He tried to protect himself from the imminent impact but under the monster's massive weigh everything became useless.

He slammed against the ground not too far away, and bounced, like a ragdoll, a few more times before stopping.

"Clack, CLACK!" – Skeleton assaulted the beast from behind once it stopped moving. The palm knife penetrated deeply inside the muscular body. *BOOM* A brutal punch shattered Bone's rib cage and four tentacles completely broke him apart.

"DIE!" – Meanwhile Martin also arrived and immediately attacked. *Clang* The sword was stopped mid-way. – "What the hell…" – Martin pupils constricted. The sword bounced away.

An infinitely large phantom enveloped Tryq. It was impossible to identify what creature's shadow it was since it was too blurry.

The third horn on the Moon Tryq's head burned with bloody flame but its wound started healing at visible rate.

"…no!" – Whispered Martin but suddenly he was gripped by a huge hand. Tryq opened his mouth before Martin's face and started absorbing from him some sort of red energy.

Martin suddenly felt extremely weak and frail.

Victor raised his head and with shock saw as his friend withered in front of him. He paled and started trembling. – "…No! NOOO! STOP IT!" – Initially only whispering he finished by roaring against the creature which completely disregarded him. – "STOP! DON'T DO IT!"

Martin turned his face towards Victor. It was visibly aged and skinny now. His lips moved but no worlds managed to exit under the Tryq's powerful grip.

Victor stopped screaming. A sense of his powerlessness assaulted his mind. His best friend was killed right before his eyes, and he could only watch. They knew before coming that they could die, but still Victor hoped for them to survive.

A lonely tear calmly fell on the ground.

Something broke inside his mind.

Tryq's first horn already stopped burning and the phantom protecting him disappeared. Martin's withered dead body fell and scattered into dust as soon as it touched the ground.

Satisfied, the creature wanted to go towards the one who just screamed something. Victor stood where, motionless. His eyes were deadly cold.

*PHUUU*

A muffled roaring suddenly distracted the creature. – "ARGHR?" – It looked around but there were no one apart Victor, and Alexander covered by green flames.

"You. Will. DIE!" – An impressive energy violently erupted from Victor's body as he pronounced this prediction.

Tryq stepped forward but found out that something bound his leg. It was a tree root. He simply teared it down, but suddenly other roots pounced on him from the ground.

The monster violently struggled but slowly was completely immobilized. On Victor's temple vine pulsated and it seamed that it was about to explode.

His nose started bleeding. – "Drink this!" – Suddenly an object flew towards him and was captured by a root. Alexander nodded towards Victor.

The root opened the bottle and absorbed the contents.

Victor twitched, raised his head in the air and roared!

*SCRIETCH*

Every single root pulled and Tryq's body was brutally teared in many pieces. Its pained last roar made the whole forest tremble. The king was dead.

Victor's body staggered and he fell backwards on the ground covered with Tryq's blood. He was unconscious.
