Seeing Edward pierced by a trident, Irena instantly jumps inside the bubble, instantly cancelling her transformation, while still casting several spells from either the tip of her golden spear or her wand.

''How bad is it?'' Irena hears Fleur ask, while checking the trident sill burried inside of Edward's abdomen.

Guessing that no mayor bloodvessel or organ is damaged, Irena pulls out the trident, saying. ''He is bleeding but not dying...'' Adressing Edward she asks him. ''... How long can you hold up this barrier?''

Seeing her lover already dangeroualy pale, but still conscious Irena hears him say throug clenched teeth. ''This barrier will hold up as long as it has to.''

That said, the bubble is suddenly unable to move forward, since the wall of weed has suddenly closed up, most likely under the influence of a merpeople spell. Being forced to stop, the merpeople get the chance to cut of any chane of retreat for them, by surrounding the bubble from all sides.

As a stand of establishes itself in between the three champions and the merpeople, Potter suddenly comes to the rescue creating a gap in the encirclement, that allowes Edward to once again freely navigate the bubble.

Seeing the bubble to slowly dwindle in size, as it approaches the surface, Irena is suddenly shocked to find the seaweed to turn into a gigantic hand, grabbing for their bubble. Pulled down to the ground once again, Harry joins them inside, as he is already influenced by his back transformation.

''Shit. We nearly made it!'' Hears Irena, Harry curse, as they are burried under a mountain of seaweed. Looking from the other champions and the wounded Edward to the still unconscious captives, including her sister, Irena feels herself powerless.

''What do we do now?'' Asks Fleur, while still hugging her unconscious sister.

Shaking his head, Harry looks at Ron and Hermione saying. ''I have no idea....''

''I have one...'' Says Irena, as she is triggering her spirit and shoots out a wall of fire. ''... Let's just get out of here!''

As the fire from her wand hits the weed, it is largely surpressed by the cold water surrounding them, but still burns away a huge part of the weed. As Edward starts to move the bubble again, the weed instantly regrows, as merpeople are constantly casting a spell on it. Before long the bubble is once again burried under the weed.

Unable to surpreas her rage, Irena casts fire based spells again and again against the weed and the merpeople, but without much sucess.

''Irena stop, you are only exhausting yourself...'' She suddenly hears Edward tell her, her rage and frustration instantly evaporated. ''... I am sure Cedirc and Victor will find us and drive away these merpeople.''

''I hope you are right. An hour is almost up.'' States Fleur concerned, while Irena is holding the still bleeding Edward.

Looking concerned as well, Harry states the obvious. ''I don't believe, this task is so much rigged against us. Wasn't our challange supposed to find and extract the captives? How has it become a battle against the merpeople?''

''I don't know. They only started attacking, after Edward atarted to recue more than three people...'' Explains Irena, while suddenly comming up with an explanation. ''... At that time, it was Fleur, Edward and me. I guess it is one captive per champion. As soon as Edward took them all, the merpeople attacked and now we are here.''

''I guess it is just my luck, that the curse that is keeping our friends unconscious stays in effect until we reach the surface...'' Comments Edward very exhausted from not only keeping the bubble up, but also extending it to occupy everyone, while at the same time withstand the preasure from the seaweed bearing down on it. ''... If Sibilla was awake, she could patch me up in a matter of seconds.''

That said, a shark can be heard outside the bubble and merpeople scream in their high pitched voices, as spells shoot through the water.

With a smirk on his face, Irena hears Edward say. ''Guess they have found us, showtime...''

Focussing her flames on the outside of Edward's bubble, Irena instantly burns the annoying seaweed to ashes, instantly freeing them. With the weed gone, Edward instantly let's the bubble rise to the surface, to the astonishmen of both Diggory and Krum, who previously hadn't seen the bubble.

With a splash, the bubble reaches the sufrace, instantly popping, as it creates an icy surface underneath everybody, right in front of the towers their short journey into the lake had started from. Just like Edward had predicted, the previously unconscious captive are right awake. As Krum and Diggory also reach the surface, Fleur and her sister have already left the icy raft.

Meanwhile, Hermione and Irena are kneeling around of Edward, as he is healed by Sibilla. Seeing her sisters magic enter Edward's wounded abdomen, the wounds left behind by the trident are rapidly healing, visible even to the eye.

Remaining conscious about her lovers wounds, Irena hears Hermione comment deeply surprised. ''Wow, Sibilla your healing spell is top notch! I have never seen a spell heal somebody this fast before. I guess, not even Madam Pomfrey can cast one like that.''

Only after Edwards wounds are fully closed, do all the woman take a deep breath, as they suddenly realise in what kind of situation they are suddenly in. All of a sudden, as Edward is getting up on his feet, all three are suddenly, simultaneously affected by the roaring crowed and the freezing surface beneth their knees.

On the platform Irena can see Dumbledore and Mad-Eye talk to Harry, while Fleur dresses in a bathrobe approaches, visibly happy. Seeing her approach, Irena is visibly still annoyed by her rival, that once again huggs Edward tightly while saying. ''You saved me, her and everyone, even though we werent yours to save. You saved my little sister!...'' Unable to once again surpress her fealings, Fleur kisses Edward. ''... Thank you!''

''Okay, I think thats enouthe sweet heart...'' States Victor, as he posessively reclaims his woman from Edward, telling his friend. ''... French woman, always ready to kiss.''

''I know, no problem...'' Irena hear her fiance reply, before getting the insinuating.

Seeing a shocked Sibilla and a jealous looking Hermione, Irena grabs the latter, swings her around, before planting a princess kiss on her lips. Still holding on to the stunned fourteen year old, Irena tells Edward and Krum. ''I guess you guys are right. We french really love to kiss...''

Letting go of a still stunned and blushing Hermione, Irena hears her murmer. ''That was my first kiss and I liked it...''

Meanwhile Dumbledore, Barty Crouch and the judges approach the champions announcing. ''Attention! Attention! The winner is... Mr Granger. For showing us an unprecedented and unique scale of the water bubble barrier spell, as well as saving every captive, I guess his ranking is unarguable...''

All students cheer for Edward, so loud, that the head master is unable to anouce the follow up rankings. As the crowed finally calms down a fair bit, Dumbledore finally is able to announce the rest of the ranking. ''...On the second place is Mr Potter for heroically aiding his fellow champion under uncertain conditions...''

This time only the Howards student's are cheering, while the Beauxbatons and Durmstrangs are loudly complaining. Ignoring the chouts and complains, Dumble dore continues. ''... On the third place is Miss Proudmore for heroically defending the weak and showing her great accomplishments when it comes to inferno based spells...

On the fourth place is Mr Krum, for heroically rushing the enemy...

The fifth place is taken by Mister Diggory, for heroically supporting his allies... And on the last and sixth place is Miss Delavour for needing to be safed during the challenge... Thank you for your attention.''

''I guess he is very often using 'heroically' to describe his students actions.'' Irena hears Edward whisper into her ear, while hugging and warming her from behing. Making a happy smile, as she is refraining from laughting, Irena shows just a happy smile, saying nothing.
