Off To A New Beginning

When I came to again, the burning feeling I had had before was gone. All that remained was a pleasant warmth. And that strong, steady heartbeat, that belonged to my mother.

In order to understand what had happened to me, I quickly opened {Status Page}.

The change in experience was glaring to me. I realized, that I could already begon to level myself, while still in my mother's w.o.m.b. That was huge news to me. But I was still a bit puzzeled by that heat from a while ago.

'Chaos, why did I feel so incedibly hot before? Did that have something to do with the lifeforce energy?', I asked to clear my doubts.

"That is correct, Simon. You used your mana sensing method to perceive the lifeforce energy. Then you used your body strengthening technique to absorb that wisp of energy into your body. The energy integrated itself into your cells and made them stronger. But that technique is not desinged for a lifeform of your size or form. You have not yet attained your form as a human baby. So a lot of the energy you absorb is refined and then escapes from your body and scatters into the surroundings. That makes the technique inefficient for you. But I would argue, that it is a good thing. The scattered energy is being absorbed by your mother. It makes her much stronger. Normally the lifeforms of the world cannot absorb the lifeforce energy because they do not know how to refine it. You basically give your mother refined lifeforce energy.", explained Chaos.

'I see. But if I absorbed that energy, then my Strength attribute should have risen, right?', I pondered.

"Yes, it has indeed risen, Simon. Merely the incease is quite miniscule, so the system does not show the increase. The system will only display you attribute points in steps of 0.5", Chaos once again cleared my doubts.

'I see.' I thought to myself.

But then all of a sudden, my surroundings began to shake violently. In panic I asked Chaos: 'Chaos, what's going on? What is happening?'

Her answer was surprising, infuriating and a bit disgusting at the same time. "I believe your parents are having s.e.x right now.", she said.

My mind came to an abrupt stop. Understanding what was happening right now, did not make it better. I felt a bit of resentment towards my father. It grossed me out a bit thinking about my parents having s.e.x. My mind shuddered again.

But I knew that I could not do anything about it. So i tried to concentrate on my mother's heartbeat and once again I began to sense those wisps of energy arounnd me. While doing so the shaking stopped at some point and I sensed a glowing wisp of energy entering my surroundings. I could guess what it was. And I was disgusted.

Being helpless I continued my training for several months. That was all I could do. During that time I was able to absorb a wisp of energy from my surroundings once a week. As time passed the heat resulting from the absorption of energy became more and more bearable. And less energy scattered from me every time.

The only thing distrubing me was that damn shaking from time to time. I just did not like it.

My mind became clear again at the beginning of May. I knew that there were only three weeks left, until I was going to be born. So I began to make my preparations. But before that I checked my status page.

Absorbing the lifeforce energy from my surroundings gives me experience points. And it has been 26 weeks since I started my training. Because my body shape changed to become more humanlike during that time, I could keep more energy inside my body. With that the experience I got also increased. As for my three physical attributes. I knew that I was already well over that 0,5 points. I was close to reaching an entire point. That was incredible, because my instinct told me, that a normal human baby would only have physical attributes hovering around 0,1 points. I was almost ten times stronger than a normal newborn.

I could also roughly guess the physical point value an average grown man had, when 18 years old. It was about 10 points. Those who trained their body in the gym or things like that were in general a bit stronger, but that would also stop at a point value of about 15.

I believed, that I had obtained a good foundation for myself. As for the additional 20 UV points. Those came from me acieving Initial Mastery over the 'Initial Mana Sensing' ability.

The last three weeks in my mother's w.o.m.b passed rather quickly, as I was anticipating the moment myself. I felt the pressure around me increase ever so slightly. And then the liquid around me disappeared quite quickly. I knew that the time had come. I was going to be born.

A few hours later I laid in my mother's embrace, wrapped in a warm towel with my eyes closed. I had cried a bit so as to not make my birth seem unusual. I did not want anyone to think, that I was special in any way. After all was said and done, I was sleeping with a full belly, as I have s.u.c.k.e.d some milk from my mother's t.i.t.s before.

And in this manner time passed quickly. Crying, eating, sleeping. Rinse and repeat.

Of course often I was not sleeping. I was just having my eyes closed to make it seem like I was. But in truth I was sensing or absorbing lifeforce energy around me. I noticed that the energy was more sparse, than when I was in my mother's w.o.m.b. But that did not matter much to me. Aside from sometimes talking with Chaos I only trained, when seeming to be asleep.

Things changed slowly around me. Gradually I no longer got my food from my mother's t.i.t.s but from a bottle. I got something different than milk for the first time.

But the years still passed quickly with nothing eventful happening. Until my third birthday. I knew that afterwards I would be going to kindergarden during weekdays. And I would finally meet my best friend from my previous life there. His name is Leo. We have been friends for 17 years in my previous life. And I was somewhat excited to see him again.

Leo was larger than me. He had blonde hair and blue eyes. He was three months older than me. But we hit it off well and we were once again friends in this life. We played a lot in the building corner of my kindergarden. It was our favourite activity along with playing 'Catch' outside.

I held myself back at all time. After all, I was just way too strong for a normal three and a half year old child. But I had fun. It was the kind of unrestrained unbound fun that I had not had for many years in my previous life. I relished it.

But I never forgot to train myself. I was getting stronger and stronger with each passing day. No one ever noticed anything weird about me.

I was already Level 2 by now. I had after all been about four years since I had started to train in my mother's w.o.m.b.

My attributes had increased tremendously. According to my estimations, I was as strong as a twelve year old child. But I was only four years old. My willpower had increased a bit because of my many training sessions. Because of the large amount of lifeforce energy, that I had drawn into my body I could make use of some of that energy when punching. I could draw that energy into my punch and make it affect something further away. As for my charisma. My body strengthening tehnique made my body very toned and the energy radiating from me was very warm. It gave off a good impression.

I guessed, that the reason for my warm aura was the energy that I had absorbed. It was lifeforce energy. And lifeforce energy gave off a warm feeling.

Of course I also met my siblings very early on. They cared for me a lot and they played with me when I was still a toddler. We were on good terms with each other. My elder sister had just left primary school and was now going to enter 5th grade at another school, that was not located in our village.
