Chapter 68 - I ❤ U I Do 1: She Likes Cute Girls

"I think, I'm a boy trapped in a girl's body after all," a brown-haired, fair-skinned beauty muttered grumpily as she sighed audibly in frustration.

Her huge doe eyes downcast, staring at the porridge she stirred endlessly with her spoon; the food got colder by the minute. Her plump red lips set into an adorable pout as she shifted on her seat to rest her chin against her arm which was placed on the table.

"No sis," a guy, a tall and lean one with model-like looks retorted as he glanced at his senior sitting across from him with a bored expression.

They were at the company cafeteria having their break and he's already fed up by the other's daily woes. "I think you're a girl with a guy trapped inside of your body," he added with his usual sarcastic tone of voice making the brown-haired beauty stop and stare at him with a disapproving expression as she raised herself to a proper sitting position.

"But that's what I just said. You just rephrased it," the beauty said accusingly with a frown marring her features. "Jay Co, if you're not going to be sympathetic, please stop being a smart a.s.s."

"Marian James, big sis," the guy called Jay Co replied using his senior's full name. "Being a smart a.s.s is way, way much better than being a dumb a.s.s. Be happy I'm still listening to you," he said making her snort.

"Oh pooh, stop messing with my mind. I already have our boss to f.u.c.k my brains to mars," Marian grunted and Jay rolled his eyes heavenwards.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, and you wish it's your toot-toot he'd f.u.c.k from here to mars, right?" the younger man countered making Marian's eyes widen as she gasped and glanced nervously around her.

"Shut up, Jay Co," she whispered as she leaned forward and glared at her junior who didn't look concerned at all if anyone heard. She had a penchant on calling him in his complete name because it sounded like the donut shop.

The boss in question was after all none other than the famous Liam Kang, the young president of the company whose six-feet-two-inches frame of tanned skin and toned muscles supported by acres of legs was a popular topic among employees. It was a natural occurrence for people to talk about l.e.w.d fantasies about his person on a daily basis and conversations like the one they had were just...normal.

"What?" Jay asked incredulously. "Don't be shy big sis. Almost everyone else talks about having s.e.x with him like they were just having a picnic. Nobody would begrudge you for having the hots for him," he continued and Marian reached out to hit his arm. "Ouch! Why did you hit me?"

"Be quiet or I'll hit you harder," she warned softly. "I'm not 'everyone else' as you put it and never will be so stop saying things like this loudly," she hissed and Jay pursed his lips.

Unlike the other employees, Marian was not at all comfortable discussing her attraction towards their boss. To be honest, she hadn't realized her own fascination towards the young president until a week ago when she, as the personal assistant went on a business trip with "the Kang", as they called their boss.

A few months back, the old president retired and was replaced by his nephew, Liam Kang. But because of the guy's looks and brains – he's a genius; he was instantly flocked by women trying to vie for his attention and affection which resulted in a chaotic period at the company. There had been a series of organization reformatting because the Kang was forever switching secretaries and personal assistants until the CEO, Jinho Kang himself stepped in to save his only brother and appointed Jay and Marian as secretary and personal assistant respectively.

Jay was chosen because of his brains as well as his ability to be complacent about non-work related things and Marian was chosen for her cold indifference which branded her as the company's 'ice queen' and her absolute professionalism. In short, the two of them were expected to be unemotional bots who didn't care for gossip and just do their stuff – but that was already proven wrong when she and Jay became very close friends in a span of four weeks.

Still, Marian refused to acknowledge that she could be like the others and she sulked. In all the years she had been working, she prided herself for being proficient, and proficiency included being unclouded by personal opinions and feelings towards her job. Being attracted to the boss was personal and definitely unprofessional that put her in a bad mood, frustrated and disappointed at herself.

She'd been working for the Kang for six months now and so far, she could say that she did her job well until their trip to France a week ago where she went somewhere during her free time and got herself lost. Her French wasn't as good as Jay's and so asking for directions was hard. She found herself in a shady part of the city they visited and was nearly harassed if it weren't for the president himself finding her in time.

Seeing as how Liam had a fisticuff with the thugs, how the boss defended and protected her on his own, and with her nursing the young president's wounds that night, the personal assistant found herself thinking of her handsome boss all the time.

And it irked her.

And she was supposed to like cute girls – not guys.

She wasn't supposed to realize that she had this gentle feeling within her – not for someone who belonged to the same workplace and most especially not towards her superior. No, this wasn't supposed to happen and she felt frustrated.

Letting go of the spoon, she placed her hands flat on the table as her face set into a determined expression.

"I can't be like this, I don't even like guys," she announced just as Jay's eyes widened, signaling her to stop and she frowned. "What?" she asked, and Jay smiled nervously.

His lips puckered as he pointed at someone behind her, followed by a sound of someone clearing his throat and the personal assistant froze.

"Ms. James," the familiar baritone spoke and she mentally kicked herself as she slowly turned around and met Liam Kang's unsmiling face. "If you're done eating I've some errands for you to do," the president said and she quickly stood up.

"Yes sir," she answered hastily and Jay followed suit but Liam waved him back to his seat.

"It's okay Mr. Co. You may continue having your lunch. I've nothing for you to attend to as of the moment," Liam said as he turned to Marian. "Let's go," he continued as he turned and walked away followed by his assistant.

Left alone, Jay shrugged his shoulders as he pulled Marian's bowl towards him and proceeded on eating the cold porridge his friend didn't touch.
