In the end, Kim Su Won failed in gathering the type of information she wanted. All Anna could find was the physical traits of the earl. The maids could tell his height, weight, sizes and generic characteristics like him being stubborn and strict with the knights, but no one could really describe how he was, as a person.

Kim Su Won had already lost a day and now only six days were left in preparation. If she kept being so clueless, she would not be able to help out herself or her little brother. Ultimately, she had to resort to the last tactic she had thought.

The night had fallen and Kim Su Won was pacing back and worth, ridden with worry. She had no idea how she could meet Alex. Calling him to her room would mean everyone hearing about it. Should she go and ask her elder brother to be the mediator between them? But that did not sit right with her either.

Did Alex even live in this mansion? Earl Isaac Laurent had a separate house of his own a few miles away but was the son going with his father? A few miles meant she could not go there walking. What was she to do? Anna had not come back with the information either.

"Miss!" Anna finally arrived, breathless.

"D-Did you find a way to contact him?" Kim Su Won held her hands together in hers and asked anxiously. Her childhood teachings of acing exams and coming on top were really making her nervous. She had to do well in Sir Laurent's test, no matter what!

"I managed to spot him when he was going to go back to his home. Thankfully he was alone. I gave him your letter, he is waiting for you in the garden near the main gate," Anna said. She still was not convinced it was a good idea to meet the son to know about the father.

Although her miss was still a kid, it was not right for a female and a male to meet all alone at night. But she also knew that her miss was quite stubborn, she would not listen to her. It was as if she was hellbent to see it through the end.

"Anna! You are the best!!" Kim Su Won immediately hugged her maid. She did her job so well! Ah, she so wished she had good jewelry that she could give to Anna in return. Right now, all she was giving her poor maid was apprehension with all her poorly laid plans. If only things were a little bit clearer in this Emmeline's life.

She immediately wanted to step out of her room, albeit discreetly, when Anna grabbed the miss by her collar from behind. "Miss, you can't leave like this. You are wearing a nightdress, it is not appropriate. Let me get you something else to wear." The muscles on the maid's forehead were twitching, so Kim Su Won had to comply. She could not make her maid mad anymore. What if she stopped cooperating with her?

"Alright, find me something dark in color and light. I would like to move stealthily. And give me the location of the guy and you stay here. If anyone asks, just tell them I have gone to bed," Kim Su Won uttered her orders left and right.

Anna was speechless. This miss, who had claimed amnesia, did not even know her way around the mansion, but she wanted to go outside all alone? In the dead of the night? She was okay with other things, but this… this was completely unacceptable.

"I am sorry miss, but you cannot convince me on this," Anna denied her order right away.

"But Anna, if there is no one here to make excuses, I would be caught so easily," Kim Su Won whined a bit. She knew she was doing something outrageous, but she did not know that Anna would oppose it so much. "Moreover, we would not want Sir Alex to be waiting too much for me, right?"

"Miss, no one comes here anyway. Why would anyone look for you in the first place?" Anna's brows had knitted tightly. This time, no meant no.

"Come on Anna! Please, I promise I will be careful, okay? I just don't want both of us to get into trouble. I know the people have started trying to keep an eye on me. There might not be people right outside spying after me, but I cannot guarantee they would not come at this late hour to make a ruckus. Please!" Kim Su Won folded her hands and pleaded sincerely. She had to go out alone, even if the risk was high. Ugh, if only she could move around freely. She really needed to earn her rights as soon as possible.

"It seems like you do not have any intention to listen to me. You can go ahead and go if you want, but you would not be hearing my voice starting tomorrow. Now the decision is up to you," Anna crossed her arms and turned her head away in anger. It was not much of an anger but worry, her yes had reddened.

Kim Su Won felt really bad hearing this. If the situation were not dire, Anna would not have threatened her so. She knew her maid worried about her, but it was for their future. She had to take this risk. She stepped forward and opened her closet to look for clothes.

It would be great if she could find something easy to move in. Unfortunately, the females in this era only wore large gowns. She could still wear a frock, that would be easier to handle than a gown. But pants would be the best in this situation to be honest.

She ruffled around and found a pair of shirt and pants, perhaps hands me down of Ivan. This would do.. She donned them in the darkness and left the room in a hurry, leaving Anna all alone. The poor maid sniffled a bit at the disregard but she was still just a servant, what could she do?
