'Hey! I would have done it sooner but the only way to accept the contract is by tearing it and I'm only really strong enough to do that recently' I complain back as a page materialises in my hands, I could have retrieved it from the inventory myself but it gives me a reason to talk with Nagisa.

[By the way, Theo, If you sign the contract before you tare it you can form a soul contract]

'how am I even meant to sign it, I've no pen and don't have the coordination to do that'

'Just? ah, give me a second to read the god damn contract. tearing will summon... yeah I know that, it's up to summoner to raise demon... yep, yep and yep. sign contract to create a soul connection, this will allow a better connection with the demon, but only one demon can be soul contracted in the signers' life. well, good thing I don't plan on raising another demon any time soon, so how should I go about drawing blood.'

I attempt to give myself a paper cut but that definitely isn't going to be happening any time soon.

[I'm sorry Theo, but as the system, there are rules that have to be followed because what if you were on your last few breaths and putting a drop of blood somewhere could save your life, it would still cost 1sp. I truly wish I didn't have to do this]

'No, it's fine, well heres to my first purchase in the system, please put one drop of blood on the paper to sign it'

"Here goes," I hold the piece of paper in front of me and tear it straight down the middle. suddenly a warm sensation wraps my mind, the room seems to get lighter and feel more comfortable.

A small dark fog condenses in front of me, not really taking shape just floating when I hear "Maaaser"

'This is amazing, can you hear me, little fella." I say getting more and more excited.

"Maaaser" The cloud of darkness repeats again, It's probably too young to communicate.

"do you think you could take the form of an animal," I feel a type of mental connection and picture a black cat, hoping it will understand and take its form.

"Maaaser" the Shadow repeats but this time its form starts condensing even more and sool laying in front of me is an a.d.u.l.t looking cat, about 3/4 my size, with no other colour, not even white in its eyes.

"Maaaser" The cat says out loud this time before jumping into my shadow created by the nightlight. although I can no longer see the demon I can tell it's sleeping, maybe letting it stay inside my shadow will help it grow.

'Hehe, Nee-chan will be surprised tomorrow when I show her my 'quirk''

[Theo, you are so relaxed about all this, I'm almost certain if a real demon saw you receive a shadow demon and the first thing you do is make it turn into a cat and want to show it off, the demon would probably puke itself to death, actually now that I've said that I kind of want you to tell a real demon this when we meet one.] Nagisa says with a hint of laughter in a serious voice.

'It's fine, there are no demons here anyway but I do want to know when I will be able to use Eagle Vision without it hurting. Last time I could barely hold it for 3seconds before my eyes start to sting'

[Don't worry Theo, as your body develops you will be able to hold it longer even without training, around the age of 13 your eyes should be able to hold it indefinitely, so please for my safe to try to abuse it too much.] A worried tone can be easily heard, I truly am a horrible person for making her worry even when she has already warned me.

Nyan, a quiet yawn resounds in the room.

slowly sitting up and rubbing my eyes I recall last nights events of me watching curious George and summoning a demon, you know all in the life of an 8month old child.

'Shadow are you there, can you come out of my shadow' I attempt to use the mental connection, it's a lot easier to feel now, although it is pretty weak, hopefully, it'll soon strengthen.

'Master' A clear call this time, a far cry from the deep and weak call the previous night. as a Black cat leaps from my shadow.

'Well done, is this as big as you can be right now, or can you get even bigger?' I want to start experimenting with this little fellow straight away, but it might have to wait for a little while I think seeing no Proper reaction other than another Master.

"AAHHH WHAT IS THAT!" A woman screams to my left, I guess Nee-chan is up now.

she picks up the closest item, which happens to be one of my plushie toys and is about to throw it when I tell the demon to get back into my shadow.

Although it takes her a second to process what just happen a Shout of "THEODORE, YOU AWAKENED YOUR QUIRK THAT'S AMAZING!" proves that she perfectly misunderstood the situation, I mean, how is she meant to know that it's a literal demon.

She lifts me out of the cot, "are you able to do that again Theo-chan?"

I think she knows I'm smarter than I should be at this point, hell we have been together 5 days a week since a few weeks after my birth, she's the closest thing I have to a parent other than my father who actively rejects me and places blame on me for my mothers' death.

Following Nee-chans' wishes and tell the demon to come out, but this time I notice something, It's not that the demon is leaping out of my shadow, it has become one with my shadow and when it is summoned I literally have no shadow, WTF! That's Awesome!

Nee-chan sits down on the carpet with me and reaches out to the demon who at this point has snuggled up to me and is lying on my little legs, not that it really matters as it is apparently weightless.

"What a cute little cat, and it came out of your shadow." she starts patting the now asleep cat. "Lazy fellow now aren't we? Ahh now I have to adorable little kittens to look after!" she exclaims as the starts to pat my head, it's ticklish but I have gotten mostly used to it at this point.

"Today we'll head to the Doctors and get you checked up then head to the Quirk Registration Office. Afterwards, I think we might play at the park for a little bit, how does that sound my cute little kittens"

The demon is still asleep but I nod my head in agreement, plus heading to the park will allow me to play with the demon in the sandpit. I will be the king of the sandpit HAHAHA.

[Aren't you meant to be an a.d.u.l.t Theo?]

'Humf, can't you just let me be a little Chuuni for a bit, and no, I'm a full-blown baby. well no I took my first steps yesterday so I guess I'm a toddler now '

I thought it would be more interesting but the doctors' appointment and quirk administration were really boring, I mostly just sat in a chair while doing x-rays and having people examine my demon companion. I only got 2 things out of the whole experience; firstly I have an extra bone in my foot, so although I haven't developed my quirk yet I will in the future, and secondly the new name for my quirk is... DRUMROLL PLEASE... Shadow cat.

Yeah, It's not like I can say anything against it yet, though I kind of feel bad for it, just because I told it to take the form of a cat it will forever be named 'Shadow Cat'.

Nee-chan is carrying me to the park right now, although it's small to an a.d.u.l.t it looks huge right now. Sadly it doesn't look like the one Midoriya and Bakugo played In as a child, it would probably do me some good to team up with at least one of them.

"Here you go, don't craw off too far" She lets me on the ground with a big smile and sits down to read a book.

I nod my head and crawl over to to the sandpit. the feeling of sand tickles my hands and knees a little bit.

'shadow come out' I think and my shadow moves and transforms into a cat. Although we have been together all day it's the first time it is direct sunlight, but it doesn't seem bothered which is good.

'How about we give you a name little fella. I know, I'll just name you Kuro, literally meaning, bad naming sense for the win.' I think to myself but as I start laughing Kuros' figure starts to become distorted and darkness starts to form.

I watch as for a few seconds it pulls in darkness from the shadows of the trees. Once this phenomenon stops I can tell that It has not only gotten a little bigger but it looks smoother, less blurry.

"Thank you for the name Master, Kuro is at your service" The cat talks out loud, this time its' voice is super clear.

'so do you know what you are able to do? I want to know your skill set.' I'm really curious as to what makes this demon top tier even as a baby.

"I'm sorry master but I don't think I know everything, but I feel a Strong Connection with the shadows around here," It says before jumping into the shadows and seemingly teleporting around.

'No wonder you make such a good assassin, it looks like in the darkness you would be untouchable, are you able to move around in my shadow to do you be in physical form? Also please don't talk out loud, it would be annoying if Nee-chan knew i could converse with you in Japanese.'

'Yes Master,' its' voice resounds inside my head then it becomes my shadow again.

'Are you able to move around like that?'

Rather than answering me, my shadow starts moving around on the ground. I reach out to touch my shadow but instead of touching the sand by hand goes into the demon.

'That's definitely weird' I try to sense through our connection and find it's a lot stronger now. putting my hand back into my shadow I can sense a dark space and in the middle, my little baby hand is sticking through, I try to reach even further but only my arm will go in, I guess that means I can't go into my own shadow.

'Now let's try one more thing, Kuro' become a cat again.' I wait for it to transform before giving my next order. 'Now I want you to take a human form, preferably an a.d.u.l.t like Nee-chan.'

'It might take a second master' Kuro slowly transforms from a cat to a ball of shadow just like the previous night but much larger this time, the ball shifts to a rectangular shape and then starts forming arms, legs and a head.

Clap, Clap, Clap. A sudden clapping frightens me so I turn around and see that it's just Nee-chan.

"well done Theo-chan, such a cool quirk, you could probably become a hero with something like this" she cheers, lifting me up in the air with a massive smile plastered on her face. Caught up in the excitement even I start to laugh.

We head home that afternoon and I'm glad to have made some fun and exciting memories with Kuro and Nee-chan.
