One Piece Bounty Wars

Chapter 62 - Waves!!

(Kaido POV)

Kaido was sitting in a Japanese style building, a bottle of sake in his hand with a bored expression. Kurozumi Orochi, the shogun of Wano, and Kaido's partner was not too far away, drinking and laughing with a feral smile on his face as he tortured some woman, but to Kaido, it just seemed pointless.

The girl couldn't put up any fight, so there was nothing to be gained from this, yet Orochi looked like it was the greatest thing in the world. Kaido was contemplating what he should do for the day when the door burst open and a group of his underlings rushed in, bowing in front of him.

"Lord Kaido! Big Mom was beaten!!" One of the men said, holding out a newspaper to Kaido. Orochi was about to reprimand the underlings for interrupting him, but upon hearing the news, he gasped.

Kaido on the other hand, upon hearing the news was excited. 'Lin Lin (AKA Big Mom) was by no means weak, so who could have done her in?' Kaido wondered as he took the paper and began to read.

The front page had a picture of Lin Lin after the battle, a stump for an arm and missing an eye, but there was no image of the attackers. Kaido read how two members of the Adventurers Association caused untold chaos, and effortlessly beat the Empress and her family, but by the end of the battle, one of the attackers, Luke Straus was in an unknown condition, having been taken by his commander, although not before giving the final strike to the Empress that had rendered both of them unable to battle.

"AHAHAHAHAHA!!!" Kaido laughed, in his unusual way. "Ready the ships!! And tell King to come to me!!" Kaido ordered the underlings, excitement written across his face.

It had been more than a decade since he had last met Lin Lin, and he knew she wouldn't have become so weak as to be beaten by a nobody. Especially with those children of hers. Some of them could even stand up to him for a certain amount of time, and the fact that they were all useless intrigued him to no end.

"W-WAIT!!!" Orochi shouted, breaking Kaido out of his happy, world ending thoughts. "What do you want, Orochi?!" Kaido asked, annoyance clearly written on his face. "Where do you think you're going?!" Orochi asked, his ego rising, not allowing him to cower before Kaido.

Kaido was about to tell Orochi to stay out of it, but before he could, his transponder Snail started ringing. Picking up the receiver, Kaido said, "What?!" His tone demanding, but his eyes never left Orochi, staring daggers into the man's soul.

"Is this Kaido?" A familiar, yet unfamiliar voice asked. "Yes!" Kaido answered, wondering where he had heard the voice before. "Oh, good! I was worried I was talking to a different idiot!! Anyway, my name is Luke Straus, and I have a little proposal for ya. You don't need to accept it, but you'd be missing out on quite the show!" Luke said, causing everyone's eyes in the room to lock on the communication device.

"You're the Lightning Demon? What do you want?" Kaido asked, his full attention now on the communicator. "The one and only!! Anyway, I called to see if you were gonna come after us or go after Big Mom's territory, and maybe give you some important information..." Luke answered, getting a raised brow from Kaido as he looked to Orochi, the previous animosity between the two of them all but gone.

"I haven't decided yet!" Kaido answered, waiting for Luke to finish speaking. "Good, Good!! Here's what I think you should do!! You ally yourself with the insane woman, and recruit all the pirates you can!! Together the both of you might be able to survive what's coming. I heard you wanted an epic battle, well I'm about to set the date! 2 years from now, us, the revolutionaries, and maybe Whitebeard, are gonna attack the marines! You can join us, make it like a battle-royale!! Doesn't that sound fun?!!" Luke asked, his tone sounding far too excited.

Hearing the declaration, Kaido could bȧrėly contain himself. On one hand, he was insulted this brat though he would need the help of Lin Lin to fight them, but on the other, he was thrilled! He had been preparing to fight the government for years, craving for an epic showdown! Now, here had had just heard of the most epic war that sounded like his own wet dream!

"Two years?!! Where?!" He asked, plans already taking place in his mind for what he would do next. "The location will be announced 6 months before the war, allowing all participants to make it there. I won't say it now, otherwise someone might go and build a fortress and set traps. You can trust us not to do that because we'll be the last group to arrive on the island, giving everyone a chance to get their own foothold." Luke said, making Kaido happy.

All he wanted was a good old fashioned war with some powerful monsters, and it looked like he would be getting his wish. "What makes you so sure that everyone will be there?" Kaido asked, curious how they would get the government to show up to the party.

"They won't have a choice! We have something they truly dėsɨrė, and it will be there with us during the battle..." Luke said, spicing things up a bit. "What's that?" Kaido asked, loving this day more and more.

"The Eternal Pose to Raftel!! (AKA. Laugh Tale) The One Piece will be in the hands of the victor, as well as control over the world!!" Luke shouted over the communicator, sounding like a professional announcer.

Upon hearing how they would be gathering everyone, Kaido laughed like a lunatic. "I'll see you in two years!!" Kaido declared, then Luke ended the call. "Gather the disasters!! We have a war to prepare for!!" Kaido stated, for once showing an excited smile, which terrified the people present.

Orochi could only pale at the announcement. There was no way of avoiding this battle, and the winners would shape the world however they saw fit. He knew he wasn't a match for any of the big organizations alone, so he needed Kaido's backing now more than ever, while also increasing his own military power.

(Jack POV)

"Good work! Now let's call Big Mom!" Jack said, making Luke smile. Doing this worked out well for them. The marines were no doubt listening in on these conversations, so they wouldn't need to call them, but they would anyway just to make it seem like they weren't counting on them eavesdropping.

This would also stop any wars between the Emperors from taking place until they were ready, hopefully saving a few islands from getting caught up in the fights. They would of course have WMP spies on most of the islands in the New World, letting them know if things were getting out of hand.

"Where is the battle taking place anyway?" Luke asked, his curiosity piqued. "On the island of Delta! We'll make a quick stop there before we head back to East Blue and grab the Eternal Pose as well as some treasure there. Then we'll go to Raftel sometime within the next two years, rendering the Pose useless to us!" Jack said, making Luke smile.

"I love it!!" Luke cried joyously. Truly he and Jack were two of a kind. "What about Tesoro? Weren't we gonna go kill him and take his Devil Fruit for Nami?" Luke asked after a moment of joy, totally having forgotten all about why they went through all the trouble of all this crap anyway.

"We have two years, and now that we have his Vivre card, we can find him anywhere in the world. We'll take care of him after we get everyone settled back in East Blue and get the preparations for the war on the go." Jack said, earning a nod of approval from Luke.

(Big Mom POV)

Inside her castle in a large spacious room, Big Mom was devouring sweets as fast as she could, anger plain as day in her eyes. It had only been a day since the attack, and she was in no mood to deal with anyone at the moment.

However, that didn't seem to stop Katakuri from walking into the room, holding a Transponder Snail in his hands, and his eyes wide from shock. "Momma!! It's the Adventurer's Association!!" He yelled, causing Big Mom to stop eating and in turn to snap her gaze around them.

She still had not gotten the Sea Stone out of her body, so she didn't have her powers at the moment. Not hearing or seeing any attack, she looked to Katakuri who was holding the device out to her. Seeing what he meant, Big Mom rushed over and grabbed the receiver before yelling, "YOU BRAT!! I'LL GET YOU FOR THIS!!"

She could see the person on the other end was smiling at her declaration, infuriating her even more. Before she could start yelling though, the all too familiar voice of Jack spoke, "Shut-up ya old hag!! I didn't call to listen to you bitch and complain about losing!! I'm letting you know that Kaido is open to forming an alliance with you to prepare for the upcoming war!"

Jack was firm, to the point, while still somehow portraying mockery. "WAR?!! WHAT WAR?!!" Big Mom asked, her anger still present, but on hold for a moment. She listened as Jack informed her about all the big powers going to war in 2 years, the prize being true rulers of the world if they wished, and the One Piece!!

"And if you for some reason you decide to not show up to this, I'm gonna come back to your territory with everyone of my members and erase your family off the face of the world, until no one remembers you even existed!!"

Following that, Jack ended the call, causing Big Mom to start screaming and throw another tantrum. Meanwhile, Katakuri was watching all of this with a plain expression, wondering if they could recruit enough people to survive this within the next two years.

(Marines POV)

In a large room in Marine HQ, all of the higher-ups were sitting around an extremely long table. All the higher-ups were gathered once they read the paper about Big Mom being defeated by Jack, and it honestly was a nightmare for them.

A man challenging their might, beat someone who they were scared to face, making the marines look like weaklings. And to top it off, he had weakened them to the point they couldn't even take advantage of the situation and attack the wounded Empress, knowing one of the other Pirate groups would attack them after.

While they were discussing what to do, a soldier from the Intel gathering department came in and handed out reports that he had deemed too urgent to wait, and judging by everyone's reactions to the news, he was right in doing so.

"Is the information true?" An unknown Vice-Admiral asked, looking at the new documents they had been given only moments ago. The reports were about a call they had intercepted between two of the Emperors and the Adventurer's Association, talking about a war that would take place in two years on an unknown island.

"We have no reason to believe it isn't!! We can't let anyone else get their hands on the One Piece!!" Someone shouted angrily. "What do we do, Fleet-Admiral?!" Another asked, causing everyone to look towards Akainu, who sat at the head of the table.

"We find out what island they will be on, then we'll send a Buster Call!!" Akainu shouted, smacking a fist onto the table. "Yeah, cause the last Buster Call worked so well!!" Aokiji said, the sarcasm a kick to the dɨċk to everyone listening.

It was no secret how the last Buster call was decimated, then the marines lost three of their strongest soldiers without any warning. Losing Garp, Sengoko, and Tsuru was bad enough, but then they lost Gion as well as the crew members of Tsuru and Garp, weakening them even more.

The addition of the 20 new Vice-Admirals was fantastic, but over the last few days, their recruits were leaving, and many of their bases in the New World were destroyed, followed by more people leaving. (Luke's little trip)

"This time, the full force of the marines will be there!! All five Admirals, the Vice-Admirals, and over a hundred battle ships!! (Yeah, you read right, there are five Admirals now!!) And I'll be there too, along with Cypher Pol!!" Akainu stated, thinking with a force this large, they could end the Emperors, Revolutionaries, and the Adventurer's in one great attack!!

There were nods of approval from almost everyone, but the ones who disagreed were ignored. Just as they were getting into detail about strategies, a Transponder Snail beside Akainu started to go off. Answering the call, Akainu said "This had better be good!!"

Apparently he wasn't suppose to be interrupted at this time, so the fact that someone called him, it must be important. "Oh, it is little puppy!! It is!!" Jack's voice resounded throughout the room, silencing it almost instantly.

"Sparrow... What do you want?!" Akainu asked, biting down his anger at the use of his new moniker Jack had given him. "To invite the government and their dogs to a war!! Obviously!! I have better things to do than listen to you bark, so put Aokiji on the line!" Jack demanded, causing Akainu to start billowing smoke.

"I'm right here, Jack!" Aokiji interrupted before Akainu could explode with anger. "Good, I'll make this short. In two years time, everyone will gather and we'll have an epic showdown to end this dɨċk measuring contest!! I'm tired of hunting you guys and taking your soldiers, so we'll settle this once and for all. And you all better show, cause if an organization other than yourselves get the ancient weapon on Raftel, the government is fuċkėd!!

Recruit, train, and prepare yourselves for your inevitable end. The rest of the world will be finding out about the war shortly, so be prepared for everyone to pick sides, so if you find that you're having a difficult time recruiting or hanging onto the people you have, don't be worried. Anyway, good luck!! You'll need it!"

Following that, Jack ended the call, his words keeping the room silent long after he hung up. They couldn't allow anyone else to get their hands on the ancient weapons, at any cost!

"We need to start recruitment right away!!!" A Vice-Admiral declared, all talk about strategies out the window for now. "Everyone will start training more vigorously, and recruiting is a must!!" Akainu stated, this meeting over until after he reported to the Elders!

(Jack POV)

"This is kind of fun!!" He said after he ended the call between himself and the marines. "You do know that because of us, thousands of people are gonna be drawn into this fight that otherwise wouldn't have been right?" Luke asked, showing a rare moment when he thought about how their actions would effect the rest of the world.

"Mostly pirates... The Emperors will recruit from their territory's through promise of wealth, fame, and power, but they can't force people to join them for fear of being stabbed in the back. Same goes for the marines. They can't recruit most people for fear that they are pirates coming in as spies, only to be stabbed in the back during or before the war." Jack said, shedding some light on the situation.

"What about us? Don't we need to be worried about spies?" Luke asked curiously. He still didn't know Jack could buy the list of undercover agents from the marines or any other group. Sure their would be a few that were never mentioned, making sure there was no paper trail to lead to this, but Jack had his own groups.

The revolutionaries were second to none in information gathering, and had more spies in the marines now than ever before. As for the Emperors, only someone they trusted could be sent undercover without the risk of betrayal, and Jack had his own ways to stop that from happening.

"We have spies in every organization that is a threat, and anyone who is worth a damn is already being followed. To top it off, we have over a dozen people with advanced forms of Haki, who can literally feel the aura of people. If spies can still get in after all of this, they deserve a fuċkɨnġ medal!" Jack stated, getting a laugh from Luke.

"True! Hey, when are we heading back to East Blue?" Luke asked, wondering how much longer he had left to fuċk around. "Whitebeard is setting out shortly to go make sure his territory is still good, and I think we should leave about the same time. We've done almost everything we needed to do here, so it should be fine. Zephyr should also be getting there sometime within the next week or so, and Hawkeyes should be in the East Blue, if not already at Foosha." Jack explained, getting a thoughtful look from Luke, who had forgotten all about them until now.

"I can't wait to become the strongest swordsman in the world!!" Luke said excitedly, breaking Jack out of his thoughts. "Since when did you wanna become the greatest swordsman in the world?!!" He asked disbelievingly. "Since right now!!" Luke answered with a proud smile.

"You do know it won't count unless you can beat him without your Devil Fruit power, and you can only use swords right? No fighting dirty!" Jack stated, ruining Luke's good mood. "I'll still give it a go, but now I think it will be quite a bit harder." Luke said, his previous confidence all but gone.

With his power he was confident in fighting even an Emperor, but without it, he wasn't too sure. Fighting dirty with guns, knives, and his swords he was happy, but with swords alone against a true master, it was another matter entirely.

"Well, I'll see ya in a few hours! I'm gonna go an see Viola before we set off!!" Luke said with a smile, then vanished in a crackle of lightning. 'Not surprising...' Jack thought as he left to go gather everyone.

They had already been here longer than he had intended, and he was actually missing Foosha. He didn't know why, but you just couldn't beat home. The first thing he did was go to the resort and paid the bill, much to the owners delight!

Apparently he didn't really expect to be paid, so when he got the full amount that was owed to him, as well as a few million berries as a bonus for him and the staff, he asked that Jack and the others come back anytime they were in the area.

With that done, Jack gathered the others, made sure they had all of their belongings, then they started flying away on the Pearl, Garp's ship in tow, followed by two more ships behind it. Apparently there were quite the number of people that wanted nothing to do with the New World, and practically pleaded to go with Jack, which was why there was the extra ships.

With Nojiko flying all the ships, the flight back would be fairly quick, but it would still take a bit longer now that they couldn't just fly with the booster. He also had to have a few people on each ship to make sure that no one did anything stupid and fell off, again... although in his defense, Garp got back on his own after the nearly being drowned by Sengoku.

Luke got back to the ship a few hours later than Jack expected, apparently having stopped to see Perona as well as Viola. Jack just wanted to hit the guy for how happy he looked, but chose to ignore him for now.

Rayleigh and Shakky were all too happy to be on the Pearl, the bar becoming Rayleigh's favorite place, as well as Shakky's. She loved having the power to cut him off whenever he started drinking too much or when he started ignoring her, much to his annoyance.

Soran, Selene, Apis, and Makino pretty much lived in the music room, creating their own little dance studio so they could sing and dance. Smoker trained with Robin most of the time, although Jack figured they didn't train the whole time they were there, but he didn't say anything.

He was curious if they were serious about each other, or if this was just an intimate relationship, cause they didn't do anything together other than fuċk, which was okay too, he didn't judge.

By nightfall of the second day, they had gotten across the Red Line, and instead of going through Paradise, they went at an angle so they were heading straight for East Blue, cutting a day or two off their trip, bypassing most of the Cal Belt.

Seeing the Red Line from the height they were at, Jack saw how it divided the East and North Blue from each other, and an idea came to mind. 'Could I tunnel through the Red Line, joining the East and North Blue's to each other?'

The idea was good, but almost impossible, considering how the Red Line was made up of a red indestructible material. So far the only way to cross it was either go over or under, but with his fire that had been able to devour every material so far, he wanted to test the idea more and more.

He wouldn't have to do much, just big enough that he could drive a Sea Train through it, giving him more ideas. 'If this works, traveling the world would be so much easier!!' He thought excitedly.

It also had military application, could make trade easier, and education a breeze. Thinking all this, he kept his eye out for the narrowest part of the Red Line that he could find, choosing not to Tunnel the larger spots if he could help it.

With Nojiko helping him, he could also move a few of the islands close to the tunnel on each side of the Red Line, making awesome Trade ports and such.

'It's something to discuss with Dragon, for sure!' He thought, seeing a few areas that would fit the bill. He would explore it more at a later date, not being able to scout the entire place as thoroughly as he'd have liked.

Getting into East Blue, they brought the ships down into the water, having decided not to fly through the night. Come morning, they set out once again, making it to Foosha by evening, much to Jack's delight.

He also found something that made him shake his head, but he knew it was coming soon. A certain rubber idiot with a strawhat had come to set sail, but was grabbed and detained by Tsuru. He wasn't really a prisoner, him being too excited exploring the new Foosha and meeting all of the different races, he didn't even remember that he wasn't allowed to leave.

Dragon and Sabo had apparently been gone at the time, so Luffy still hadn't met his dad yet or found out that Sabo was alive. 'I did tell Dragon I'd make him stronger...' Jack grumbled, annoyed that he had made the deal. However, with Garp and Rayleigh with him, he could pawn most of the work off onto them.

With the three of them, they could turn Luffy into a true monster, which just made Jack even more annoyed. The first thing he wanted to do was give Luffy some proper education, making so he wasn't a complete idiot!

The guy literally had the hottest woman in the world ready to get into bed with him at any moment in time, yet he chose to eat food and go on an adventure!!! How ignorant was Luffy of how the world worked?....

Jack wanted to see if he even knew the difference between a man and a woman, but if the anime was anything to go off of, it wouldn't surprise him if he didn't. "Hey, Tsuru... can you bring Luffy to the guild hall please?" Jack asked, dreading what was to come, yet a little excited if he was being honest.

While he waited for Luffy in the guild hall, Jack was dealing with something he had forgotten about, that he was feeling quite guilty about. """"YOU SAID WE WOULD GO TO THE SKY ISLANDS!!"""" Soran, Selene, Apis, and Makino cried in unison, the younger of the three already showing big watery eyes.

Makino just wanted to see the sky islands, but she wouldn't cry over it. At least Jack thought she wouldn't, but with how heartbroken she looked, she very well might. "I'm sorry, I forgot.... how about you all go with Luke and Nojiko in a day or two?!!" Jack apologized, not believing he had forgotten something like that.

He was too busy dealing with Garp and the others that the sky islands had slipped his mind entirely. "Who said I'd wanna go the sky islands?!" Luke cut in, interrupting Jack's plans for making it up to the kids.

"You take them to the sky islands and we forget the last bet!" Jack said, knowing full well that Luke would agree. "DONE!!" Luke shouted, agreeing just as Jack had thought. Getting back six months of his life for a few days of babysitting was a no brainer for him, plus he actually liked the people he was babysitting, so that helped too.

"YEAH!!" Soran shouted excitedly, bȧrėly containing her excitement of seeing the sea in the clouds. "What about me, huh? What makes you think I wanna go back to the Sky islands?" Nojiko asked, a big shit eating grin on her face.

She didn't see anything wrong with going on a trip again so soon, but that didn't mean she wouldn't try and get something out of it. Dropping his head in defeat, Jack wondered if this was worth it.

Looking to Nojiko and then back to the little girls, he could see their pleading and hopeful eyes, and it didn't take a genius to know he was beat. 'I feel like a whipped butler....' Jack thought sadly as he turned back to Nojiko.

"I'm in the process of building your gift... however, seeing as how it will take about 3 more months at the minimum, and that you aren't the only person getting one, how about I...." Jack had leaned forward, whispering the last part so only Nojiko could hear.

Everyone else tried to listen in to what he was saying, but it was no use. Seeing how Nojiko jumped on Jack like a little koala, a few people were more curious than ever what he offered her. Nami especially made a note to ask Nojiko later about it, while everyone else was running through their own ideas.

"WOW!!! THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!!" An excited voice shouted from the doorway, breaking everyone out of their thoughts.

Turning to the doorway, everyone saw a scrawny looking teen with a red vest and blue shorts on. The most notable thing, was of course his signature strawhat.

Seeing the boy, Jack actually smiled, thinking, 'I wonder how far he stretches?'
