One Piece Fan Fiction: Renji

A month passed by as Sengoku, Garp, and Tsuru became even busier due to the increasing activities of the pirates. Renji mostly hangs around Saul and Kuzan who has grown fond of him over time. He was really envious of Kuzan's Devil Fruit ability that he wanted to find one for his own. He asked his Grandpa to get him one, but he said he should think about it more as devil fruits have side effects. He could just get one later in life, Garp and Tsuru agreed with what Sengoku said, as devil fruits aren't really essential in getting stronger.

This day everyone was called on duty, even Saul and Kuzan had to leave with his grandpa, so Renji was sitting alone in the office again. He was so bored that he didn't have anything to do, so he decided to walk around again. Renji had a habit of keeping his haki open, although it tires him, it greatly improves over time.

Recently he was able to scan the whole base. He was particularly interested in one room, where he saw the man who's always with his grandfather, which his grandfather describes to be his secretary.

He always goes to a room with a strange creature and it almost always end up chasing him around, and it seems to be tackling him, whenever he returns to the office the secretary's coat is always in tatters, in which his grandpa just smiles wryly. When his grandpa goes there the animal seems to behave and just runs around him. He was curious on what kind of creature is in there, so he was going to that room to find out.

He arrived at the door and peeked slightly, He saw a small sleeping white creature. He found it cute and he tried to approach it slowly while smiling, but then it suddenly woke up! It slowly opened it's eyes and flinched at the sight of Renji. It's eyes became sharp and suddenly charged to him. Renji was shocked and closed his eyes to prepare for impact but it suddenly stopped and took a sniff of him. It looked at him rather curiously so Renji tried to nervously smile. The creature sniffed him again and turned it's head to the side while looking as though it was pondering. Renji title his head as well then the creature suddenly licked him excitedly in the face.

"Wha- what? stop! stop! Hahahaha! Stop! It tickles!" Renji said while giggling.

The white creature seemed to smile and rubbed it's head on Renji.

"Wait! I saw you on one of the books before! You're a goat! A baby goat!" Renji yells excitedly.

"Meee e ee eee" the goat sounded.

"Wow you're so cute! You wanna be my friend?" Renji asks while grinning.

"Meee eee ee e e e!" The goat responded.

"I don't actually understand what you're saying. But I'll take that as a yes! Come! Let's go play!" Renji shouts excitedly after scratching his head.

The baby goat excitedly follows him and they both played around. Renji liked the goat very much because it was both intelligent and aloof at the same time.

"Oh right! My name is Renji, do you have a name?" Renji asked.

"Meee ee e ee eee" The goat answered while shaking it's head.

"Grandpa hasn't given you one yet? I know! Uhmmm I'll call you Mr.White!" Renji says excitedly after pondering.

"Meeeeee meeeee!" The goat answered while raising it's front hooves.

"Do you like it?!" Renji asked with a joyous tone.

Mr.White rubbed it's head on him with joy and they continued hopping around and playing everywhere.

Hours later...

Sengoku returned to his office to find that Renji wasn't around. He was confused at where he could've gone, so he scanned his sorroundings with Haki, He was shocked when he saw that Renji was in the room he put that pet goat he got. The goat didn't like anyone else other than him that's why the goat that looked docile was unruly to his secretary. So he swiftly ran to the room as he thought Renji was being attacked by the pet goat. When he opened the door he was shocked to see that he wasn't. He and the goat were spending time merrily, Renji was even feeding paper to it. Renji and the Goat both turned to Sengoku and happily ran to him. He turned to Renji to talk to him.

"Oh it's seems you have met him already huh?" Sengoku says with a smile.

"Yeah! Mr. White and I became friends!" Renji said with a rather excited tone.

"Hmmm? Mr.White?" Sengoku asked with a confused tone.

"Yeah! I named him because he told me he still doesn't have a name!" Renji said while hugged the goat with a grin.

They looked quite cute together, a boy with while hair with a pure white goat.

"Hahahaaha! Alright we'll call him Mr. White then! " Sengoku replied while grinning.

"But Granda why didn't you introduce him to me sooner?" Renji asked with a pout.

"Oh that's because he hasn't been properly trained, he's hostile to other people other than me. That's why I was afraid that he would hurt you if you met him." Sengoku replied while scratching his head.

"But look he's so behaved! We spent the day playing!" Renji yelled excitedly.

"Oh that's great then. I usually ask my secretary or other people to take care of him, but now you can take care of each other!" Sengoku said while laughing.

"Yeah! I'll bring him anywhere I go!" Renji said excitedly.

"Alright, let's go back to my office first! I bought you some snacks!" Sengoku said while grinning.

"Yay! Let's go Mr.White!" Renji says while pulling the goat to the door. Sengoku smiled heartwarmingly and they all walked back to the office.
