One Piece : Rise Of The Merchant Clan

"How long have i been here?" The little blue ball of spirit said for the million time. It had been floating around in line with all the other balls, he'd tried to talk or communicate with them only to realise that it was impossible.

"Well boss it been a reaaaaaaaaallllllyyyy a long time." The balls said to himself in a high voice.

"Shut up fred you're not allowed to talk, your in time out." The balls responded to himself.

This continued for a time, adding a few more imagine individual personality in the mix. While most of the balls around seem to float calmly adrift in a certain direction, this one would shift a little around as he talk to himself.

"Sigh, this was amusing the first few decade ago. Now it the only thing keeping me from zombing out like almost all the others." He remember the first time he'd wake up after his death, the other balls had all been moving around with a great deal of energy. But with time more and more stop moving and only floated, following the invisible current that seem to be pushing all of them.

"Should I try going against it today or is it night? Megh who cares, it not like I get anything out of it, all I get is tired from pushing while I still float around at the same speed as all the others." The balls wallowed in self piety for a time, this was it new existence for the following few years.

"Come on,come on move it, damn it, Im almost their." He shouted in excitement. A few months ago he notice a change for the first time instead of void and blue balls he saw a human like figure in the distance, it seem to point to a ball some lights would go up, then he pick that ball up and tose it in the portal. Did he know what the portal was no, did he know who the figure was again no, did he know what the ligth was no, but he knew that whatever those three thing are they all represent a possible escape from the endless drifting he done.

Over the past comming months and weeks he would slowly drift closer and closer, as he look around he couldn't spot any balls that were moving anymore. Their use to be one or two that would give a twicth from time to time, but ever since he spoted the portal they all seem to stop moving, even he found it self wanting to stop and sleep more and more. But he keep snapping himself out of it, by recalling every memory he could, alot had become fuzzy with time.

Like the best tv shows, movies or anime. Also books and novels he liked, life lesson he'd learn and precious memory of family, friends and love ones. Sadly the later memory of his more personnal life was the weakest, he had long forgotten his or her own name. As for people he knew, only a vague shape remained. But the warm they provided in the very deepest spot in his soul still burn strong even after all this time. It was very much the reason he could still retain some awareness.

The blue ball of spirit keep on arguing with self for many hours hoping to bounce some idea out of his imagination. Unfortunately it only manage to past the time and find many silly idea that had no chance in hell in working. Like putting on a disguise, of course not having any arms and being a floating ball with hardly any control put a wrench in that plan. Or how about fadding in the mass of other soul, again not have any motor function also put a quick stop to that plan. Then he came to the brilliant idea of the age old bribe, but he soon came to devastated truth he had jack all to trade.

The ball became quiet as he saw his time was up, the man shape light thing was reaching out to him. It grab him like every other soul, raise him up to a crystal ball of some kind. The ball emitted a light as if it was scanning. Over the course of his time waiting, he had notice the ball producing a few colour of light. He still had no idea on the meaning of the colours. Since no matter the colour the human shape being simply chuck the ball in a portal.

The crystal after scanning him gave out a very rare light of green. He had only seen it twice before. After each the shape seem to pause, give it self a fist pump, bring out another device and press button. This device whould spin in variouse colours, land on something then the being would move this device over the soul and then chuck it inside the portal.

Now it was his turn, the device had just finish spining, he figure that the colours was a mix of violet silver and blue. He had no clue as to the significant of this. For the other two other souls the colours seem to have been different. As the device move over the soul it heard this.
