One Piece - The First Mate

East Blue - Yotsuba island has one of the key marine headquarters in a place called shells town. Also on the other end of the island has a gambling settlement that was run by mob across the blues to entice the nobles for spending their money.

It is also a home for loan sharks and their underground fights run for the entertainment of the said nobles every year.

The whole establishment was a cover for a retired pirate who settled on this quaint island overseeing the business for an underground boss with his web throughout the four blues.

When a bounty hunter foolishly appeared in this city looking for one of the pirate's subordinates and killed him, the boss was evidently angry.

After cornering the bounty hunter, the boss decided to throw her into the huge gladiator arena after starving her for 15 days and make her fight for death with other participants. This was because the said bounty hunter was getting a big name in east blue and would certainly rake in more cash with her death.

Jason entered the arena to see a large ground in a cage where the participants of the sick game will fight each other for survival.

The bounty hunter who was thrown in was standing shakily while looking at a crowd of well-rested other participants who are armed to the teeth staring at her like she was a piece of meat. The constant torture along with hunger was evident on her face.

Jason looked at her and for the second time on that day met with a woman who deeply surprised him where he forgot to take a breath.

She had scarlet red hair that reached her lower back. She was only in a flimsy bra that constrained over her large b.r.e.a.s.ts along with a torn-up short that hugged her shapely h.i.p.s standing on her b.a.r.e legs. Her fiery brown eyes looked sunken and she had dark rings around them along with many bad injuries suggesting she has been through some kinda torture. For all her natural beauty, her countenance was quite gaunt. Her lips were chapped and her stomach looked to be caving in with a large wound still looking blue.

All in all, she looked quite haunted. But that was just on the surface. Jason's perceptive eyes picked up on her body language though. Despite the fact that she looked to be on her last legs, her eyes screamed defiance and determination. Her posture was primed and ready to spring into action at a moment's notice. He could make out the powerful and well-defined muscles beneath her skin.

Suddenly a fat man made it inside the arena. He has one of his eyes covered with a black eye patch and was wearing some luxury clothing. He also carried a large cleaver with him striding inside the arena which quietened the hall.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, for this year's fight to the death, we have a new entertainment planed out for you guys. Look here, we have 100 guys who woe dept to me by loosing in our gambling house without money. On the other end, we have one of the pirate hunter duos who foolishly cut down my subordinate. The appetizer is that the one who cuts her down will have his life along with 10 million dollars.. ain't that a reward. ehh"

The crowd went crazy on the amount while the crooks inside the arena loudly shouted in approval. Jason who was looking at this felt his blood turn cold and was about to go on a killing spree when he caught the look in the eyes of the red fairy. He quietly made his way towards the only woman in the arena and caught her eye.

His blood-red eyes looking straight at her fiery brown eyes for a minute in the rowdy room. He just nodded at her showing he is there for her in the room full of people who are looking forward to her death and languidly stood there while rummaging inside his bunch of papers for the next Victim of his saber.

Jason took a look at the 26 million bounty poster showing the boss of this facility. " One-eyed Billy ehh.. let's wait for a bit" he murmured to himself looking at the fat f.u.c.k.

Just then, the fat f.u.c.k in question went outside the caged arena while a loud gong came which started the blood bath along with cheering from the audience.

A huge bald guy suddenly ran towards the redhead while carrying a sword which he used to attack her while Jason put a hand on his saber ready to interfere under the shouts of the arena when suddenly the said redhead moved with a grace of fairy to clash with the behemoth whose result was the guy crouching down along with the sword he carried which is now in the redhead's hands running through his c.h.e.s.t while the woman pushed him off the sword by kicking him away from her.

The whole arena quieted down into pin-drop silence with only the sound of blood dropped by the red-haired beauty's newly possessed sword.

Jason had to blink once to internalize that what he saw has actually happened right now.

What followed was a deadly dance of a fairy resulting in a blood bath which transfixed Jason where he was only looking at the scarlet haired fairy dancing between the lowly humans cutting them out without taking a single step back all the while her body is riddled with injuries which would put an ordinary person to rest.

The scarlet beauty stood in between 100 corpses like a death reaper, but for Jason who was transfixed stared at her she looked like a fairy queen who came from the sky to cleanse the mortals.

Just then the arena doors opened with a bang while a grim-faced Billy came inside while carrying his cleaver ready to end the little fairy's life.

Jason took this as his cue raised his saber to cut down the steel cage in the middle between the two inside the cage with a red light that put a line between his fairy and the one-eyed dead meat.

Billy suddenly stopped and looked at Jason who made his way towards the scarlet headed woman and put his hand on her shoulder while looking at her eyes.

Jason who was looking at the half-unconscious beauty said in a soft voice, "Just rest, for now, I will take care of everything else, you have done well."

The scarlet haired woman held his gaze for a moment and uttered "Many Thanks" while fainting.

Jason took his redshirt off to cover the nearly n.a.k.e.d lady and put her down after which faced the fat f.u.c.k responsible for this.

Billy who recognized the flying attack was on guard looking at newly entered Jason "So who are you supposed to be !!"

Jason who put the lady down looked around and got ready to fight by putting his black burlap sack down while hefting his saber up again to finish this debacle.

"Your Death!!" with that he suddenly appeared before One-Eyed Billy who seemed ready with his cleaver where another deadly dance has started.

One-Eyed Billy may have retired but he still had a lot of strength and technique which he gained traveling the seas. Even if Jason was clearly stronger of the two, their fight appeared almost equal.

This is because Jason was restricting himself to have a fun fight. He was not in a hurry to finish this fight and was training his technique using the retired pirate as a stepping stone.

Suddenly Jason saw that Billy's Subordinates were coming inside the destroyed arena and were surrounding him while some of them went towards the Unconscious woman. Seeing that he may need to speed up, he looked at Billy while suddenly reappearing before him as if teleporting while leaving a huge gash on Billy's body from shoulder to hip which resulted in Billy blown backward.

Seeing the boss of the establishment dead, the people there started screaming while Billy's subordinates surrounded Jason whose eyes suddenly glowed for a moment after which everyone in the arena fainted one by one.

Jason went back to the redhead and checked her condition. He then went around the arena and building to loot any money hanging around.

He got a nice sum of 50 million lying around along with a black katana which has an interesting aura which he picked up. He also got a devil fruit in Billy's office which he was glad to take with him.

He also cut off Billy's head for his bounty and packed everything while hefting his scarlet fairy on his shoulders. He turned towards the exit going his way back to Luffy.

Appearing in the marine ground from the afternoon, Jason looked at Luffy who was supporting kuina while morgan and his marines were either dead or unconscious.

He looked at Luffy and said, "So, what happened here!!"

Luffy just smiled at him while saying: "I got us a new comrade.. what's up with you and who is that"

Kuina who also noticed Jason took a deep breath while suddenly shouting " Erza, What happened to her."

Luffy looked curiously towards Erza and started "Let's go back to the Inn, we need to get the both of you treated."

Jason and Kuina nodded while they went towards the inn with coby who is still shivering woke up and followed them.
