"Alice, what happened?"

"Dad I am too happy today!"

"Can I know the reason?" Asked mother.

"Yes, yes obviously."

Her parents and sister is looking at her anticipating her answer.

"Mom! Dad! Finally everyone agreed to meet!"

Her family was disappointed.

"What? You are disappointed?"

"I thought you got a boyfriend." Her mother sighed.

"Forget it." She said and sat on the couch.

"Stop thinking about your friends and find a boyfriend."

"Mom!"

"Or do you want me to introduce you to a guy?"

She turned towards her dad to ask help. "Dad.... please ask Mom to Stop this."

"Okay honey, stop it. We'll just find a boy and announce their engagement."

"Dad!!"

"Heheheh"

"Why are you laughing, Alina?"

"You should really find a boyfriend, or they'll fix your marriage now."

"Stop it."

"I got a boyfriend."

" You should study and not make boyfriend."

"Why? Do you want her to be single just like you?" Her mother interrupted her.

"You all have gone mad."

"You're already twenty six. When will you marry?"

"I am going in my room. I am having headache."

Alice shuts her room's door.

It's already weekend and she is ready for their get together.

They all left in the morning together. All her friends also have boyfriends and girlfriend. They are mocking her.

She sighed and thought 'Why everyone is asking me to make a boyfriend? How can I tell them, I love someone but can't be with him.? Poor me. I haven't liked anyone except him. Should I look for anyone? I'll look for a boyfriend now! I don't even know where he is? Or he is single or committed. I should stop thinking about him now and just find someone to settle down. But my heart is full of him. Sigh'

They arrived at their destination. It is a resort near a beach. They took their room keys and unpacked their stuffs in their rooms.

They wandered around before having their lunch at the restaurant at the resort. At evening they went to the beach. After having the lunch no one went back to the resort.

At the resort, one corner was too busy. People were constantly moving here and there.

"Ahh! Be careful."

"You are doing wrong."

"Don't be clumsy. I want it perfect."

"Yes, yes. Perfect!"

"Good job."

In the hustle and bustle the voice of a young man could be heard every now and then. At a time he would be instructing or frowning.

He was nervous. He wanted everything to be perfect. It was a very important day of his life. Today, he was going to propose to the girl whom he had loved for ten years. He was too nervous.

'Will she like all this? Will she accept me? What if she doesn't like all this preparation? What if she rejects me? Should I delay this? Should I wait for some more time? I am too afraid.'

These thoughts occupied his mind since he started planning to propose her. Today finally was the day. But.... there was fear lingering in his heart. All these years she never noticed him. Nor were they in contact after college. He don't even know if she even remember him or not.

He was sure of just one thing that she was single. She never dated anyone since college.

May be he can have a chance.

It was seven in the evening and Alice entered her room to change her clothes. They decided to meet after an hour.

Alice decided to wander a bit in the resort after changing.

She stopped in her way at the sight of a similar figure. It was him. It was really him. She was seeing him after five years. He was looking more handsome than before.

She couldn't move. She was staring at him. She was thinking to go and talk to him. She was about to move in his direction when a girl came and hugged him. Her heart ached. She wanted to escape. She don't want to see all this. She turned back to leave.

She heard the man calling out her name. A tear was formed at the corner of her eyes. But she didn't let it escape the eye.

She turned and gave a surprised expression as if she just saw him. The man came to her with his arm linked to the woman who hugged him a while ago.

"Hey Alice, long time no see."

Alice smiled and said "Yeah. I thought you were not around."

"Yeah, I went abroad after college. Just returned yesterday on her demand." He continued, "Oops Sorry! I forgot to introduce you. Alice, this is Alina, my girlfriend."

It was only now that she looked at the woman's face. She was Alina, her sister.

"We don't need introduction." Alina said. "She is my sister."

"Oohhh... You never told me you're Alice' sister!"

"I found it a little awkward to tell you. You were my sister's classmate."

"So Alice, I am gonna be your brother-in-law now." He chuckled. "Whose your boyfriend.?"

"Alice don't have a boyfriend." Alina answered for her.

Alice just smiled and excused herself.

The atmosphere in Alice's room was all gloomy. She said her friends that she isn't feeling well so, she would sleep for sometime.

The man whom she has loved for years turned out to be her sister's boyfriend.

How can she have such a bad luck. She has never loved anyone but him.

She can't help but cry. She slept weeping.

The young man is waiting for the girl. She hasn't arrived yet. He was worried for her.

But he can only wait.

Alice woke up after two hours. She washed her face and composed herself. She saw her phone. There was a message

'Call me when you wakeup.'

She called her friend. She came knocking on the door in a couple of minute.

Alice was shocked to see her friend all dressed up.

"We are going to a party." Her friend said and gave her a dress.

Her friend dropped Alice at the entrance and left making an excuse. Alice entered the place and was guided by an attendant to a pool.

She gasped in surprise. The pool and the whole area around it was decorated by flowers and candles. There was a table by the side of the pool, probably for a candle light dinner. There was no people round. Alice thought she has came to a wrong place and was about to leave when she heard someone calling her name.

"Alice…"

She turned around but didn't find the owner of the voice. She looked around but still didn't see anyone.

After some time of silence she again heard that voice.

"Alice… I am sorry for asking you to come like this."

"Alice I was afraid that you won't come if I ask you out. I was afraid… that you might have forgotten me or would not recognize me. I am Sorry."

"Alice I am still scared or rather you could say I am nervous."

"Alice it took me a lot of courage to do all this but I am still not fully confident."

Alice was now dying with curiosity. She said, " Where are you?" But the person didn't come out.

She again said, "Fine. I'll leave." and turned to leave.

Just as she turned, she heard a panicked voice, "No!"

Her lips curved into a smile and she turned to look at the owner of the voice.

She knows him. He is a well known business man. And also, he was her classmate.

He came and stand in front of her with his head down. He is avoiding the eye contact. He then continued,

"Alice… I have liked you since long. But I was waiting to be sucessful first. Or may be… I was… too scared. I mustered a lot of courage to call you here. I tried my best for this proposal. I don't know if you still have the same choice.-"

When she heard this she once again looked around. It was now that she realized that everything over there was of her choice.

"Alice… I want to spend my life with you. I want to love you forever. Can I?"

She thought, 'I didn't know that when I was busy in loving someone, there was someone loving me too. I didn't know when I was busy looking at someone, there was someone looking at me too. I never thought I would have such a day. I never thought someone was loving me. This is my Unexpected Love.'

"Alice?!!"

"Where's the ring?" She asked with a smile on her face which brought sparkles in his eyes.
