Only I'm Need

After meeting up with Ozpin and Glynda, the four of them headed to a nearby Bullhead transportation area and met up with a private pilot.

The pilot then flew them towards Beacon from their current location which was Atlas.

The entire trip took about 15 hours.

Both Zero Two and Quail fell asleep while they still kept their senses up in case of an attack.

As soon as the Bullhead landed, both Zero Two and Quail woke up at the same time before Ozpin or Glynda could wake them up.

And when landing, both of the 15-year-olds, Zero Two and Quail, paid special attention to their surroundings and planned numerous escape routes.

Although they paid attention to their surroundings, they were sure to act as normal as possible.

And while Glynda didn't notice, Ozpin sure did.

After all, he's lived for an unknown amount of time.

While Glynda insisted on accompanying Ozpin, he instead insisted that she takes a break as she was up to the entire trip ride.

She reluctantly accepted and Ozpin himself showed Zero Two and Quail to his office, which was located inside a clock tower.

Upon exiting the elevator and entering their room, the first thing Ozpin and Zero Two noticed was the black-haired, red-eyed, women.

Quail, on the other hand, was paying attention to his surroundings and somehow missed the women sitting on one of Ozpin's chair.

"Darling~" Zero Two whispered into her Darling's ears getting his attention.

"Hmm?"

At this moment, Quail noticed the women sitting in one of Ozpin's chair.

He was then stuck in his current spot before he walked forward and sat across Raven who was shocked as well.

At first, it took her some time to recognize her son as she hasn't seen him in over a decade, she was also able to recognize his facial features and cross-referenced that with the image of her five-year-old son just in case.

To say she wasn't as shocked as her son was wasn't an understatement.

"Mother."

"Son."

*pause*

Quail then began to cry silently while staring at his mom.

Raven too began to cry silently while staring at her son.

Slowly the both of them leaned forward and hugged each other softly.

And it was at this moment that both of them began to openly cry out.

Quail with his content face hugged his mom, while Raven and her relieved face hugged her son.

It wasn't an aggressive and forceful hug, but it was a soft and calming hug.

A hug that allowed both of them to express and relieve their burden.

A burden that they carried with them the moment they left each other's sight.

A burden of a mother missing her son, and the burden of a son missing his mother.

As the two of them calmed down, Ozpin who mysteriously disappeared, came back with a plate of cookies that, both mother, son, and wife ate.

*Ahem* Ozpin coughed to get the attention of the trio sitting in front of him.

"I want to discuss what the two of you will be doing in the meantime before Beacon starts."

Noticing his mother's raised eyebrow, Quail explained that Zero Two and he would be joining Beacon because of Zero Two's d.e.s.i.r.e to go and experience school life.

"Nothing illegal" was all Zero Two responded to Ozpin's question.

And in Quail's head, he was calling bullshit.

"And you guys will also need a place to stay in the meantime, you guys could always take one of the dorm rooms here at Beacon," Ozpin said ignoring Zero Two's statement.

"They will not, they will be staying with me." With that blunt statement, she stood up, grabbed her son's and the lady who was sitting next to her son's wrist and proceeded to basically drag them to the elevator.

After the elevator door closed, Ozpin leaned back into his chair and took a deep sip of his coffee.

Seated on top of a single bedroom was Raven, Quail, and Zero Two.

Slightly eager to break the awkward silence permitting the room, Quail decided to be the first one to speak.

"So, Mother, this is Zero Two *points to her* we first met a week and a half into the forest month period. Since meeting we have been together ever since.

We're also married. Unofficially." Quail said.

*cricket* *cricket*

*cough*

"Anyways, how have you been doing Mother?"

"Aside from looking for you, I've been killing, stealing, running a tribe, training the younger members, a few other things."

"Same! I and Darling have been killing and stealing too, although Darling kept complaining about how much effort it took to plan and steal something so we became bounty hunters where everything was just taking so much less effort. By becoming bounty hunters we could get paid for simply killing someone, and if we were running low on money, we went back to stealing and stuff like that." Zero Two said.

From there the three of them started to talk about certain methods on how to kill someone most efficiently, or what should they do in this certain scenario, and stuff like that.

The three of them then strangely bonded over violence.

"Do you guy's wanna go steal something? I don't know how regular parents bond with their children, but this is something we have in common together, so we could try this. I do know a recent large Dust shipping, and I have been recently running low on Dust so this would be a good opportunity." Raven suggested.

"Sure!" Zero Two beamed at this. A bonding moment with her Darling and her Darling's mother, this would be fun.

"Why don't we spar each other first? To you know, get used to each other's fighting style, and to improve our teamwork beforehand." Quail suggested, thinking and saying this on the spot.

"Hmm. Seems reasonable. Why don't we use Beacon's arena tomorrow morning." Raven responded.

"Than I guess I'll see you tomorrow morning. Have a nice night Ms. Branwen.

Come along now Darling."

"Coming!" Quail said before hugging his Mother goodnight and meeting Zero Two who was waiting at the door.

Right before heading to bed, Raven thought, 'I wonder how strong they are.'
