Overlord: Blue Citadel Alternate

Chapter 59 - 『Head Hugger』

Walking around with a person attached to one's head is not usually the most fun thing in the world. Vertum was finding this out rather quickly. In chat rooms before he came from YGGDRASIL and into this world, he often joked about hugging friend's faces. Now, he knew it was no joke.

Zesshi Zetsumei was her name, the half-elf, the extra-seat of the Black Scripture who was ultimately the Slaine Theocracy's trump card. Having swung her rather stiff and petite form over onto his somewhat snakily long neck, he was walking towards the West entrance of the wall, her scythe's blade still in hand would be dragging through the dirt behind him.

His eyes rested on those gloved hands, they were small, dainty. She wore clothes that covered just about her entire body. Though she wasn't at all that heavy despite all the layers, but that was probably because of his levels in strength, he was a dragon after all.

The one thing that bothered him, however, was that the armor on her left arm was pinching against him. Surely bothered, he shifted his neck slightly side to side in order to avoid the feeling.

When he finally did arrive at the customs post, they were in the middle of letting a group of elves in. It seemed to be more from the Slaine Theocracy. Perhaps this had been a ruse she had used in order to get inside? His eyes shifted slightly to the side as he could hear her quiet and shallow breathes. It seemed she knew exactly who she was looking for here and wanted to challenge him alone. Smart, otherwise she would have died at the hands of his own people, which would've made him chuckle.

Letting out a sigh though, he began walking towards the forested area within the walls.

"Vertum-sama?" Anika blinked walking over to them from around the side of a small shed, a handful of other guards behind her. "Who is the..." Her head c.o.c.ked to the side, "strangely dressed elf?"

"Who knows..." Vertum uttered as he knew her name, but didn't bother to share. He had taken this girl out before she could reveal a number of her capabilities. That was mostly because he didn't want to draw out the fight, he never does.

"Eeh?" Anika stared at him.

The quickest way to defuse the enemy is to get them riled up and distracted, before knocking them unconscious while they're fuming. He found it rather interesting though that she was able to remain conscious for so long after he bit her. About an entire thirty seconds longer than Nigun, which wasn't really surprising comparing their levels together.

Just how much stronger would this girl be? Considering the only reason she didn't get deployed often was because of the Platinum Dragon Lord being a threat, he was still curious.

Anika just watched their Emperor, their supreme being, waddle on towards the hidden entrance of the Underground City. Though soon enough it wouldn't be hidden. A path was planned to unite the Village and the City itself. Then paving of proper roads to E-Rantel, considering they would soon be linked politically as well.

Vertum took the time to think about the offer he had made to her, an offer he had thrown out of nowhere. Perhaps it was just a way to throw her off guard, but it had some merit. Using her to take the throne of the Elf Kingdom would be legit, especially once the King is dealt with.

The only problem was, now he had to deal with the Slaine Theocracy before that happens. At the same time, if he were to destroy the Slaine Theocracy, that means he'd have to destroy Enclave between the Theocracy, Kingdom, and the Roble Holy Kingdom.

Information on the Roble Holy Kingdom, however, is skewed to him and out of date. The Theocracy had lost contact with them some time ago, so re-establishing contact was paramount.

Suddenly the girl on his back yawned and her hands shifted, causing him to come to a stop and turn his head as he shook his body lightly. THUD. The half-elf was now laying in a pile of leaves, her scythe a few feet away, stuck in the dirt behind him.

He watched as her c.h.e.s.t rose up, and then slowly went down. She seemed to be at peace in a way, now that she had found someone to defeat her. Personally he found it anti-climatic.

That was when she yawned, "Aaah..... You know... It's pretty rude to watch someone while they're sleeping," one of her eyes opened partially enough to see him through her eyelashes, the blackened hue staring up at him.

The Dragon shifted back into his human form, just looking at her as she opened both eyes now, too weak to stand up due to the poison. "That's a record time of recovery."

"You didn't kill me..." Zesshi shifted on the ground, she wasn't afraid, she was grinning at him.

"Hm... No, no I didn't," Vertum walked over and leaned down poking at the strange grid-like mesh she wore under her sweater-like top.

"Oh? You want to undress me?" Her lips parted before curling them in slightly in thought, letting them pop out slightly glistened by saliva, "It's a pity I woke up then. You could've had all the fun."

"All the fun?" Vertum narrowed his eyes on her, "I just wanted a closer look at your ears."

Her face contorted slightly as she heard his words, "What about them?"

"They looked pretty cute," he reached towards the right side of her face and moved her hair out of the way, revealing her knife-like ears. "A dragon with elf ears would be an interesting sight, wouldn't you say?"

Blinking up at him as he mentioned having a child with elf ears, she immediately got excited. With her blood going, the venom in which kept her down was being pushed out of her system. Soon enough, she pounced upward, placing her hands on his c.h.e.s.t as she did so. His boots then slipped in the mud, ultimately landing her on top of him, straddling.

Vertum just stared up at her as she had taken hold of his hand now and pressed it against her stomach. He was pretty sure she was panting, her shoulders heaving up and down as she breathed in and out.

Originally she didn't care what kind of person had defeated her, what kind of person she would marry, or how they would treat her. Ultimately, she only cared about how strong their child could be if she bred with someone stronger than herself.

Yet this man here, he was relatively kind in the sense that he wasn't outright abusing her and he stronger than her. Or at least, that is what she saw in him as he had carried her on his back all the way to the forest and out of the sight of others. What had he been planning?

"If we had a child, how strong do you think our child would be?" A menacing look was on her face, though at the same time, there seemed to be an innocent aspect to it.

"I wouldn't know," Vertum stated bluntly as he sat up, unphased as he placed a hand on her throat, reeling her in closer before hugging the side of her head to his shoulder. His hand ultimately grasping at one of her ears hidden with her mass of black hair. It was pointed, soft and shorter than that of a fully fledge elf.

The cardinals and officials of the Theocracy never coddled her, nor hugged her, like this. She was nothing more than a weapon, a trump card, to use against their enemies when it was saw fit.

Being held like this was foreign to her, whether or not it had any affection to it or not, she didn't seem to notice. Either way, she was becoming excited by the contact, to the point that she was smiling almost idiotically. "Wouldn't you?"

Vertum didn't answer, rather she would then watch as he reached into his item box with his free hand and drew what appeared to be a pair of little golden semi-transparent perfectly shaped rocks.

"Is that Candy?" She blinked, seeing as he randomly pulled out something edible.

"Yes, yes it is." Vertum raised a brow as he offered her one after popping the other in his mouth.

Without any warning, she snatched it from his hand and immediately popped into her mouth. Instantly her tongue was assaulted by the flavor of butterscotch, or at least an iteration of it. "Mm..." She tucked it into the corner of her mouth, s.u.c.k.i.n.g on it slightly.

"Ah'r h'ue hak'im mur f'r ah mayhe?" She asked if he was taking her for a mate, but it sounded as if her mouth was full with the candy.

Vertum chuckled at her use of words and stared at her as her speech patterns were being mixed up by the candy in her mouth. "I'm sorry, I didn't catch that," he teased as he crushed the candy with his teeth.

"Tsk..." S.u.c.k.i.n.g her tongue against her front teeth, she took the candy out of her mouth. "Are you..." Seeing him grin slightly, she went silent for a few seconds before smirking, "I see."
