Overturned Tower

Vol 2 Chapter 4: I want to have a cat like this

Although the delphinium looked reluctant, she turned her gaze away from the food.

But when Russell really brought the bacon roll to her face, she still couldn't help sniffing the aroma of the meat roll.

After lowering her head and smelling it, she subconsciously took a bite of the food.

Being stared at by Russell, Delphinium's face turned slightly red.

But she still chewed the food slowly and swallowed it as if nothing had happened.

Immediately afterwards, Russell immediately handed over the second bacon roll.

The delphinium brushed her side hair behind her ears to prevent it from sweeping over Russell when she lowered her head, and then ate the bacon roll that Russell fed.

The delphinium ate very slowly, with its tightly closed mouth unable to see any violent movements. But Russell just kept looking at her... Just watching her eat, he felt happy from the bottom of his heart.

It was a very peaceful feeling. No need to think, time seems to stand still at this moment.

It's like opening a book that you have long admired but have no time to read in the afternoon when you have nothing to do and the weather is suitable, make a pot of good tea, and slowly immerse yourself in it.

The sunlight does not shine directly on the pages of the book, and the book exudes a woody fragrance, intertwined with the tea. There may be cats and dogs sleeping in the sun at the feet, and there is no noise outside the window.

Russell would also like to turn on soft music if he could. His mood at the moment is that level of tranquility, concentration and happiness.

When the two came back to their senses, all the meat rolls on the dinner plate had been fed to the delphinium.

It was when Russell subconsciously wanted to fork a piece of meat, and the fork made a crisp sound on the porcelain dinner plate before he noticed that all the meat had been filled in.

Seeing that he unknowingly ate half of Russell's lunch, Delphinium's cheeks turned red again not long ago, and this time even her tiny earlobes turned red.

But Russell just smiled.

"It's okay, I'm not hungry."

Russell said, and handed over another sandwich.

But this time it wasn't fed—it was used to wipe the grease off the side of the delphinium's mouth.

After all, you are not eating yourself, but being fed by others. Even though Delphinium was already very careful, the movements of the two were still uncoordinated. Flammulina velutipes soaked in rich gravy from both sides of the bacon roll will naturally sweep to her lips.

The white bread of the sandwich can easily absorb those fats.

"...I'm full."

Delphinium gently grabbed Russell's hand and held the sandwich in it.

"lie."

Russell's eyes moved down: "Your belly doesn't even look big."

"Normally they don't get any bigger."

"But when you went to eat barbecue with me last time, you obviously got bigger."

"That's too much!"

Delphinium was a little annoyed for a moment: "This is the difference of spiritual relatives, the difference of spiritual relatives!"

It has to be said that the difference between spiritual relatives is a good excuse. If the parents also have such a feature, it means that the feature is inherited, and if the parents don't, it means that other features of the spiritual relative have been mutated. Makes perfect sense anyway.

She held the sandwich to Russell's mouth, and with the other hand, she held Russell's back and propped him up from the bed.

…but this is a sandwich that just brushed a delphinium's mouth.

Is this an indirect kiss?

Russell noticed Delphinium's nervous gaze, and the corners of his mouth slightly raised.

He took a bite and bit off more than half of the part containing the oil stain.

"Eat slowly...don't choke."

Delphinium spoke softly, put down the sandwich, picked up the already somewhat lukewarm chicken soup, and fed Russell another mouthful.

"Is it cold?"

She asked worriedly: "If it's cold, I'll go to reheat it. You may have diarrhea after drinking cold chicken soup."

"It's okay, the temperature is just right."

Russell picked up the chicken soup and drank it down.

To cheer Russell up a bit, white pepper and **** are added to the chicken broth. Although it is already a little warm, it is not too greasy.

Then Delphinium picked up another sandwich and helped Russell wipe the grease from his mouth.

Oddly enough, Russell asked.

"Is this what you want to eat?"

"... Long-winded!"

Delphinium realized what Russell meant, and immediately blushed: "Seeing how delicious your food is, I'm a little hungry...I'll just taste it."

She said, taking small bites of the chicken sandwich in her hand.

Russell also smiled, picked up the sandwich that he took a bite out of on the plate, and ate slowly with the delphinium.

"Well, how does it taste?"

"That's what I should ask you. My mother's craftsmanship is not bad."

"Of course. I think it tastes better than the food in the cafeteria."

"That's not the case... If you eat too much, it's just like that."

Delphinium paused slightly after saying this: "Are you full?

"You should have almost recovered now... Do you want to go out for another meal?"

"I think you are not full."

Russell saw through Delphinium's mind.

"No way...my appetite is not that big anymore."

Delphinium categorically denied: "Look at my waist—does this look like someone who eats a lot?"

As she said that, she wanted to hold Russell's hand and put it on her waist to confirm the touch.

But just putting his hand lightly on the back of Russell's hand has exhausted his courage...

Russell smiled, swallowed the last bite of the sandwich, and patted the back of her hand with the other.

"Although I have almost eaten, I still go out for a while.

"From what you said, the inferior one is probably a little depressed. I guess he didn't eat, he might still be in the office... Bring him something to eat back?"

"Are you going back to work this afternoon?"

For a moment, delphinium felt a little bit reluctant.

"Obviously you asked me to go back to work tomorrow."

Russell's eyes widened: "How about I lie down for a few more days? I don't mind at all, but you have to explain clearly to the director..."

"Forget it, let's come back."

If Russell came back to work, she wouldn't have to go home at noon.

That's okay, it saves a lot of trouble. delphinium thought.

Although it's only been two days, she has gotten used to the life of seeing Russell every day when she goes home.

Compared with staying alone in the office in the afternoon, quietly eating cold takeaway... Although this kind of life is a bit troublesome, it also feels good.

——Russell and the inferior go to the cafeteria every day, and she has nothing to do and doesn't want to go home. It's not that I have any conflicts with my family, it's just that I feel troublesome.

If possible, she didn't want to talk, let alone move. If she can work mentally, she will never do physical work... The distance from the Executive Department building to the parking lot is already a bit long for her.

Although it takes less than 20 minutes to go home in a floating car ~www.wuxiahere.com~. But going back and forth will waste a lot of time.

She prefers to finish her lunch quietly in an empty office, and then take a nap on the table. It was originally a quiet time that belonged to her alone.

Since Russell started working, sometimes Russell would come back from the cafeteria before she finished her meal.

Afterwards, both would take a nap in the office. She was sprawled on the table while Russell curled up on the sofa. There is obviously one more person in that space, but it still feels the same quiet, giving people a wordless sense of security.

Perhaps it was the extension of that feeling that made her get used to the daily life of seeing Russell curled up in the quilt when she came home.

But delphinium actually knew that such days would eventually come to an end.

Russell was her colleague after all, not her pet...

…but she would like to have one of those cats if she could.
