Chapter 23 - Location

"You seem very good in nature, Amelia," Omnidea said.

Omnidea's siblings nodded at her as she added, "We shall permit you to go upon this quest if it truly what you wish to do. If you sincerely want to aid us, then I should at least allow you to attempt it, however, I hold no accountability for unintended repercussions, that is up to you. You may not know, but the essence of the universe is the life source of all divine beings and seeing as it has become unstable, we are slowly beginning to expire. If you are capable of interrupting the source of the waves then you can halt our end."

After saying this, Omnidea reaches out her finger and graces Amelia's forehead with a tap before a glow of light sparkled for a few seconds.

"What was that?" Amelia asked.

"I have shown you the general location of the waves' origin, now you must travel such a distance, but you must hurry if you plan to achieve your goal; your time is few," Omnidea responded.

The massive deity lowered Amelia towards the floor where she hopped off and rejoined Noah and Carter.

Remembering what she initially came to Fortitudo for, Amelia looks at death and questions, "What about my soul binding contract?"

"Sorry my child," Death answered, "Unfortunately, the essence of the Universe acts as a source of life for lower gods as well. In my current state, I don't yield the power necessary to form the seal."

"I see," Amelia said as she slowly turned away from her mother.

The group - Noah, Carter, and Amelia - had finally left the hall and upon exiting the front entrance, they were startled by an unexpected trembling from below, almost like an earthquake.

Like her comrades, Amelia held out her arms and struggled as she attempted to catch her balance once again. "It's another starquake." She said.

Soon, the violent rumbling came to a halt; the ground had become still once more. After this, Amelia looked over at her brother, "Carter, do you know what the cause of this could be with your ability?"

Seemingly thinking hard, he muttered "It's very hard to see, but my visions seem obscured. My omniscience is being distorted but I believe that Olivia may have found a way to accelerate the Ritual-"

Cutting in, "What!?" Amelia had exclaimed, "How is that even possible? You said it took at least two years to complete!"

Carter had gritted his teeth as Noah looked at both he and Amelia with a worrisome face "I'm not sure. For some reason, I am unable to see Olivia's past actions, but I'm able to see her presence. However, it's only in small bursts; I believe she may be affecting my ability to see her. One thing is for certain, I can feel her Energia growing exponentially, which means I may be right about the ritual being shortened somehow."

Joining Noah, Amelia also grits her teeth in worry before Noah faces her.

"Amelia", he says, "you may have to battle Olivia earlier than expected."

This, of course, worried the girl since the purpose of her revisiting Fortitudo was to increase her control over Xenatra's power, whom the latter had still been recovering from the spiritual scars left on her by Logica.

"Then it's inevitable I see," Amelia says. "We'll still have to hurry, we don't have a lot of time."

The trio all nod at one another before Amelia reaches into her pocket, fumbling as if she were searching for something. She then proceeded to pull out a Maka Bead, her last one in fact, that she had stolen from Logica after freezing her. After gathering together in a huddle, Amelia slams the bead hard on the ground, causing a cloud of darkened smoke to swallow them as it began to rise from below their feet.

Within a few seconds, the trio arrived back in London, Noah realizing that they had arrived near the area where he had battled Hussein. Amelia glanced over at Carter before grabbing his attention. .

"Carter, can you tell us where Olivia is currently?" She asks.

"Unfortunately," he says, "my omniscience is somewhat limited to bits of information about people, places, and objects to where I cannot pinpoint exact locations."

A look of disappointment spread across Amelia's face; she had succumbed to the fact that she was out of tracking options. However, suddenly Noah burst out as if he had gotten an idea.

"We can find Aaron," he said.

"What?" Amelia responded.

"Aarons hybrid ability may be able to help us in finding Olivia, actually, he may be the only one who can help us right now that I know of. Amelia, you still remember how to get to our base right?"

"I remember, but would Aaron really be willing to help us? He didn't think twice about not coming to save you."

Although Noah didn't want to show it, he felt disheartened by what Amelia said. He didn't want to believe that Aaron would abandon him for no reason and so, he went into denial.

"I'm sure Aaron had his reasons, right? We should go ask him anyways." Noah said.

"Fine," Amelia responded, "Let's go to talk with Aaron."

Noah and Amelia began to sprint towards where they had remembered the base, which was only a block or two away from where they currently were, while Carter followed shortly behind.
