Peculiar Children

Chapter 1 - Here we are now.

It's been 2 years since the war between us "monsters/creatures" came to an end. Now we monsters and humans live together in peace.

Though it's still hard to believe though. I never would have dreamt that my family and I would be living amongst humans.

"Aisha! Get down here, we're going exploring the town and Dad said we can't leave you home alone!" One of my older brothers called me from downstairs.

"Coming!" I sighed to myself. I rushed downstairs and greeted my two brothers. Armond and Kaleb. Armond, the oldest, never really cared for me and Kaleb. Kaleb, though, has always protected me. Sometimes I just wish that Armond would care for us like Kaleb does.

"Hey sis, you ready?" Kaleb asked me with a smile. I nodded and followed my brothers from behind.

Armond looks like a normal human, I suppose, except for he has a snake tongue, and yellow slit eyes. Kaleb has darker skin, like me, and has a scorpion tail. Me? I have no special features, except that my eyes glow silver whenever I want to transform a part of my body. I can't fully transform yet, sadly.

"Hurry up Aisha, you're falling behind again." Armond hissed. I rolled my eyes and muttered something under my breath.

"Knock it off Armond, she didn't do anything wrong." Kaleb snapped back in my defense.

"Tch." We continued to walk along the woods for some time, slowly getting frustrated that we didn't find any abandoned human structures.

"We.. we should probably head back. We are getting too far from town." I suggested.

Armond turned back with on his face, "Your not scared are you Aisha?"

"No- of course not! I'm just saying it could be dangerous!" I growled in frustration.

"Yeah you're scared, heh." Armond triggered. I felt my blood boiling, I will admit to myself that I have anger issues. "Why you-!"

"Stop it you two, this is no time to be fighting." Kaleb stuck his tail in between us, the tip pointing slightly to Armond. "But Aisha is right, we heading back now."

"Fine, still doesn't change the fact that-" Kaleb hit Armond in the back of the head. Even though Kaleb isn't the oldest, he is still mire m.a.t.u.r.e than me and Armond combined. Ugh, I hate the thought of being fused with Armond..
