Peculiar Children

I looked at the two new students with astonishment. Yeah, they are definitely the human children from yesterday. I wonder if the old man knew if there was monsters enrolled here?

"Alright, Isaac, you may take the empty seat next to Aisha." Isaac nodded his head. He didn't look at me like he did at the other monsters, maybe he doesn't recognize that I'm a monster yet? I can't blame him, I look like a human, but I'm not. Maybe if we become friends ill tell him. Bu he looks smart enough to figure it out on his own.

"Katie, you can take a seat up at the front." She calmly walked towards the seat on the front row. She glanced back at all the monsters in the class with uneasy eyes. She doesn't trust us. Maybe I won' become her friend but maybe I'll befriend her brother. Isaac was his name right?

" Psst, Your name is Isaac right?" I whispered to the boy with dark hair next to me. He didn't make eye contact and just nodded. "Alright, I'm Aisha."

Isaac turned his head as if he wanted to ask me something. "Do you know why monsters are enrolled here? I thought they went to public schools.."

"Well, not always. I know a few that go to private schools. Anyways, did you just move into town?" I asked him, while answering his question.

"Yeah, I suppose, we moved next door to this house with a family of monsters. You look familiar, like the girl from yesterday.." He mumbled.

I sighed, gaining his attention, "That's because I am that girl. You move next door to me and my family." Isaac opened his mouth and closed it again.

"Hey, what do you think about monsters..? Not trying to pry or anything." I asked.

"..I don't really know what I think.." I never really took the time to get to know them on the last two years.." Isaac said.

I paused, he never took the time..? So did he not have any- "Alright class, since we want the transfer students to be comfortable, this will be a free period.

"YAY" the class shouted in unison. I looked to see that neither of the transfer students were cheering, because student gathered around them.

I took out my phone and texted Kaleb. 'They are in my home room '

"Aisha.." Isaac said silently. "You seem to know a lot about monsters.."

I nodded nervously, waiting his next words. "Does that mean..?" Before he finished, my eyes turned silver and I transformed my hand into a crab claw, and the other into a cat paw. "...I need to go get- something from my locker.

I sighed as I watched Isaac go outside of the classroom.
