Perfect Haters

Chapter 55 - CALLING MOTHER

"Nothing much, your department were having some issues without you there. I'm thinking to promote you because of your hardwork." He MingZi stood up and offered a handshake to Cai HongBai.

In a second, Cai HongBai felt he gained much energy.

"Thank you Boss He! I'm really grateful for your decision!" He bowed many times.

"We're very thankful to you Mr. He! Thank you for giving my husband a higher rank!" Cai Sheng added.

After the two thanked him, He MingZi's eyesight fell on ShenYi.

"Go thank Mr. He!" Cai HongBai nagged ShenYi quietly.

ShenYi was hesitant at first, but she still thanked He MingZi.

"Thank you for giving my father a huge favor." She bowed deeply.

He MingZi smiled.

All of a sudden, a loud thunder was heard outside.

"Ahm, Mr. He, it's dark and rainy outside. If you don't mind, join our table for dinner tonight."

The father and daughter duo froze. However, He MingZi felt that Cai Sheng paved an opportunity for him to stay longer.

Hearing no response from He MingZi, Cai Sheng insisted.

"It also serves as a thank you for giving my husband the promotion." Cai Sheng politely offered.

"Sweetheart, it's okay if boss doesn't-"

"Hao. I would love to taste Mrs. Cai's recipe."

Cai HongBai was dumbfounded. Even Cai ShenYi wasn't prepared for his answer.

'Ai, what's wrong with mom?'

"Alright! I'm going to reheat the duck soup I made earlier. However, I didn't anticipate you Mr. He to come, so the servings are not that quite big." Cai Sheng justified.

"It's okay, Mother." He MingZi responded while Cai Sheng was opening the stove.

Cai Sheng was stupified. The whole family was surprised by his words. ShenYi, who was preparing the dining table, almost dropped the plate she was holding.

"Don't call me mother, you're way too superior from us." Cai Sheng was starting to feel uneasy. She now regret inviting him over into a dinner.

"No need. Mrs. Cai is too long. Also, we're not inside the company now. It's okay to call you mother. It was the third time of me visiting here."

"Oh, then ShenYi would treat you as an older brother." Cai Sheng played safe.

He MingZi was stunned. Cai Sheng had a high logic.

Meanwhile, ShenYi was now wearing a worried look.

'Looks like I couldn't stroll outside tonight. It means there's no signal too!'

.....

"Mom, your dish was very tasty!" He MingZi complimented Cai Sheng.

Luckily ShenYi haven't anything on her mouth yet, or else, she would choke forever.

"Ai, don't lie. My skills are just mediocre."

"My mom never cooked for us. This was the first time I tasted a food cooked from love."

Cai Sheng's eyes softened after hearing He MingZi's reason. Now, she could feel pity for him. Thus, she didn't hinder him to call her mother anymore.

'Ai, this rich people always forget what love is.'

On the other side, ShenYi started to be curious about him.

'Who was this person really is?'

"Walk faster!" Yu Li called out LiMin.

"Alright! You just ran too fast!" LiMin drained his stamina and gave up on catching Yu Li.

'Argh! Brother Feng's instruction is a whole torture!'

After walking for almost three minutes, they finally caught a glimpse of light.

"LiMin look! That's the campfire!"

"Hao. But where's the others? I could only see two silhouettes."

LiMin formed his two hands into a portable telescope.

"That's Han Ri and MingYu!" Yu Li ran towards them.

"Hey!" LiMin shouted at Yu Li.

"Why?"

"Don't disturb them. Don't be the third wheel to them." LiMin warned Yu Li.

"You!... Anyways, you have a point." Her anger dissipated. She walked slowly with her slumped shoulder.

"Don't worry, I also felt heartbroken with that. You need to take time before you finally get used to it." LiMin patted Yu Li's back.

"Right. I need to get used to it."

"However, I think we should do something to shift our moods!" LiMin had an idea.

"Pffft. I bet that would be a boring ones. If not boring, it's too corny." Yu Li rolled her eyes

"No! Just wait 'till you see what I'm planning."

"You seemed to be in a daze. Is there something bothering you?"

MingYu approached Han Ri, who was sitting still in front of the blazing fire.

"Oh, no. Nothing." Han Ri was startled.

"Aren't you afraid that the sparks of that bonfire would hit you?"

"Tsk. Even the sparks between us were already gone." She coldly said, without giving MingYu a glance.
