Perfect Haters

"Come on, join us for dinner."

Han Ri rigidly walked towards the dining area. She was amazed by the European inspired style setting in the area. She could say that Tang MingYu's family was really a wealthy one.

However, what she didn't expect was the presence of their whole family! MingYu's brothers and their girlfriends are there too. She greeted them and they also welcomed her in return.

MingYu pulled the chair for her and let her sit down.

As the family started to eat, Mother Tang spoke.

"Han Ri, right?"

"Hmm, with your surname Han, are you from the prestigious family of doctors, Han LiHuan's daughter? However, I have never heard of her for a long time." Father Tang said.

Han Ri halted with her movements. She didn't expect that her family that she tried to forget, was bringing into the topic.

Tang MingYu observed it too. He didn't knew Han Ri's background, so he assumed that she was nervous because she's not part of the family his father was asking about. He knew that his dad isn't picky, but she might felt uncomfortable with the question.

"Dad, dont-"

Han Ri touch MingYu's back and signalled him to stop. Then she answered, "Yes Mr. Tang. I'm their only daughter."

"Alright! Alright! Han Ri, don't call me Mr. Tang. Just call us mom and dad. We could call you Xiao Ri too."

Han Ri almost choked but MingYu managed to hand her a glass of water in time.

One of MingYu's brother talked. "Don't worry Han Ri, dad was really like that."

Han Ri smiled. Then answered inwardly,

'No wonder MingYu was so shameless, it runs in their blood!'

MingYu was stunned for a moment. He didn't knew that Han Ri's father was really Han LiHuan, his idol. Han LiHuan inspired him to explore the field of science. He was amazed by Han Ri. She was really giving him a lot of surprises.

Howbeit, he felt something wrong with her family. He decided to ask it to her after the dinner.

"So MingYu, what are your plans with Han Ri?" Mother Tang asked.

"We're going to take the next step." MingYu calmly said.

Every female in the table coughed hardly. Fortunately, their partners are very hands on to them and gave them a tissue and a water. Meanwhile, the males looked calm and collective.

Everybody knows what the next step is. First is holding, then hugging, then kissing, and the next step is, m.a.k.i.n.g. .l.o.v.e. Nonetheless, MingYu spoke again.

"Wedding. What are you all thinking about?"

"Hey bro, you really coped up with our thoughts." MingYu's second brother complimented him.

"Hah, MingYu. When did you learn that th-" Before even his elder brother spoke, his t.h.i.g.h was already pinched by his girlfriend.

"Stop that. Let's just eat normally." Mother Tang was being embarrassed by her sons. On the other hand, Father Tang was amused by his sons' thinking skills.

"Han Ri, don't worry. On my first time here in this household, my boyfriend and his brothers are like that." One of the girls approached Han Ri, who was busy observing at the terrace.

"However, MingYu wasn't really as talkative before. Hmmm, your effect on him was great."

Han Ri smiled. It seemed like they welcomed her well.

"I've always accustomed to MingYu's words. I just didn't expect that his brothers were like that too." Han Ri joked.

"We have the same impression! Ai, be careful with your offsprings, they'll be like him too!" The woman answered laughingly.

Han Ri laughed too. It was cute to imagine little MingYus and little Han Ris.

"Han Ri."

All of a sudden, a man's voice called her out.

"Alright, I'm going now." The woman smiled then left.

Han Ri looked back and saw MingYu.

"You didn't tell me that your family is full of shameless people like you." Han Ri smirked at walked towards him.

"Isn't my response towards you already reflected what my family is?"

Han Ri thought for a while.

'Ai, she never predicted the things will turn out like this!'

"Hmm, my bad. I never came into that idea." Han Ri answered.

MingYu nodded and looked at her.

"You never told me that you're Han LiHuan's daughter. You kept on being careful on answering questions about your family. Is there something wrong?"

Han Ri held MingYu's hand and led him to a garden outside their mansion.

She sighed deeply before speaking. MingYu could sense that it was something important so he didn't bother to joke around.

"Actually, my father disowned me a long time ago." Han Ri said solemnly.

MingYu didn't anticipate what Han Ri said. How come a talented girl like her would really be kicked out of her family?

"Han Ri, you don't need to say-"

"My father wanted me to pursue medicine, but I like computers. I dreamed to be an IT specialist. His hopes on me fulfilling his dream to continue his legacy was crashed the moment I chose that course. They all looked at me like a failure, a blemish that would tarnish our reputation." Han Ri ignored MingYu and continued to speak. She can't control her emotions anymore since this was the first time she said about her family. Even Yu Li was oblivious to it.
