Chapter 29: Love Rival

“Father...” Nathan’s voice sounded pitiful as he called his father.

He sounded frightened, worried that his father would scold him for being naughty.

“What is it? Are you not happy?” Christian asked, sitting up in bed. His voice was soft and warm, unlike someone who was trying to reprimand his son.

His eyes fell on the lamp beside his bed. The bathroom door was slightly ajar, but Christian didn’t notice because of the dim light in the room.
