Chapter 26: Power of Mind -Olympus-

[PoV: Captain John Hill]

''Freedome!'' Shouts the captain of the armed forces and now former Gouverneur of sky fortess when going home this evening. Since his creation he had lived through never ending conflict, be it the war or the governing of so many people, but now he felt secure and hopeful for the futur. Hill, his Comander, the district User and godly figure had finally returned. The happiness inside of pumps in his vains ant lets him forget all the hardsh.i.p.s he had to life through since loosing all contact to Hill. Opening the door to his lifing quaters a pleasant smell takes his senses captive.

Shortly after the war was lost and the sky fortess fell he had lead a team of soldier to search for survivors. It was then that he found a young aunt in her mid thirtys trying to free her 14 year old nephew from a pile of rubble. Naturaly they helped her and saved the boy. In the hole ordeale it was the womans courage that deeply impressed him. What finaly made him fall in love with her was her determination to make her place in this uncertain times. This was 216 days ago.

Now the woman Taila is standing in the make shift kitchen and her nephew Dex is reading a book. They are his family now. ''You look happy dear!'' Taila says when seeing a smiling Tom coming in. ''I have to be! You remember telling you about Comander Hill?'' ''How wouldn't I know?! When we first met you told me he was that godlike figure.'' Having a faint embarrassing blush unsuited for a Gouverneur John loudly and happily announces. ''How ever I may have described him in the past he has returned!'' ''Realy the User has arrived? Where whas he all this time?'' Asks Dex mildly interested. ''Well I don't know but let Tom first come inn and have a bite to eat.'' Says Taila seeing Johncomming up empty with an answer. Gladly smiling at Talia who saved him from embarrassment Tom takes a big spoon full of noodle soup. ''Delicious as ever dear. I'm sure in the future we will have even more delicious food to eat now that Hill has returned.'' ''What will he do? With the disput between Councillor Tom and Councilor Becca the fortress is in constant paralysis when it comes to any kind of progress beyond simple survival.'' Says Dex also eating soup. ''Haha. That dispute is over my boy. You should have seen our high Councilors mighty at discussions but small in front of pure power. Hill just told them that we fight and talk later. Even Red the NPC of district 75 was silent when Hill talked.''

Spending the evening talking with Talia and Dex, John logs in to service early in the morning and is promptly greeted with the comand to finde Hill on floor 40.

For the first time John rides the elevator above floor 39 to see to his Comander only to be greeted by a fluffy bear. ''Ah there you are already Captain. I just send for you and here you are already.'' Says the bear with two glowing eyes irritating the capain who answers him. ''I thought Hill wanted to see me.'' Looking around the open floor John findes no sighn of this Comander or Mis Rice. Seeing the mans look seeking arround The bear now annoyed and with only one glowing eye says. ''If you are looking for the big guy he is still sleeping he and aham the Lady had a long night...'' Originaly with a blank face John lightning fast understands the bears implications. ''Oh I understand.'' ''... Good. You are still the leader of the armed forces so I will need you help with two projects for Mr Hill. Projekt David and Project Goliath both vastly improve our military many times over.''...

[PoV: Talia]

After John left their shared home Talia too left for work giving Dex to an elderly retired female teacher nex door. Dispite her relativ high position as the lover of the now former governor life is still very hard. Having seen her sister and brother in-law being ripped apart alive and having to live through the district war Talia knows the hardsh.i.p.s of life. Because of that, her independent minde and self worth she diligently goes to her work as a construction work manager of the flooded areas. But this day was ment to be different from every other work day. First her construction crew was halfed by the military for some secret projects. She would have to interrogate John in the evening for more informations but now she had other problems to deal with. The first of which is the big boobed blond in a t.h.i.g.ht blue mini skirt and a white dress shirt. ''How can I help you Miss?!'' Talia says with a stern disaproving voice and the hole crew of men arround the blonde beauty turn silent. ''Ah Miss Tali nice to meet you I'm Lilian Rice, Lith to my friends.'' The woman says and greets Talia with an enchanting smile. ''Wehello Miss Rice. Still how can I help you?'' ''Easy. I have building plans from one grumpy bear with me and comands for you and your crew to reconstruct the lower levels of the fortess according to them.'' ''That might be a problem. You must know that the construction crews only listen to comands from the higher ups of the Council. But you can show me these plans.'' Talia says earnestly while still not liking the idol like beauty infront of her. ''Very well may we go to your office?'' ''We very well go.'' Talia is very shocked the next monent when Lith shows her the 3D plans of the new fortress. Three times bigger than the current fortress am light year more complex apears infront of her. Rotating the model arround Talia realises that three times is the wrong factor because changing it all to a birds eye perspective she realises that the current fortress makes only up the center what seems to be 1/9 of the plant structure. ''Wow. That thing is massive. I think we can very easily restructure the fortres into the center of this city but the six piers are out of the question. Who ever pland this thing new jack shit about metal strengths and durabilitys. Now metal known to me can even vix up one pier to this fotress. This thing...'' Talia says while pointing at the plans. '' ...is a minds dream nothing real.'' ''That is where you are wrong. This is Olympus it represents the power of minde. The highest evolution of a fallen kingdom and the future of 117.''...

[PoV: Dax]

''... and that is the reason why all this happened. We let the Variants come in and they started killing. That is their nature...'' Hears Dax his nanny lecturing him for the hundredth time while planning his escape. The old woman might have been a teacher but she couldn't have been a good one because she is like a damaged audiofile only repeating one lecture over and over again. Finaly the woman vanishes into the kitchen and he can escape. With a coin his aunt had gifted to him he unscrews the airevents cover and climes inside the big pipe. Climing up the pipe fore two floors he finds an already cicked in cover and climes out of it. There Dex findes himself right under the fortresses landing pads. Balancing in betweem the steel construction he climes inside his small hide out or sanctuary with all his hidden treasures. Since his parents brutal death Dax has become a recluse and collector of all kinds of things. Having this place is kind of knowing you have a backup.

Coming inside through a simple cloth that tkeeps insects and dust out side the soon finds something not quite right. A single jelly bean glass is openly on his counter and some beans are missing. Drawing his knife made out of a sharp peace of metal and ducktape he stealthily sneaks arround until he finds a red headed woman in a black t.h.i.g.ht cat suit lazing on his hideoutes rooftop. Poking her with his knifes tip he wakes her up. ''Miss? Miss!'' ''Can't a valpyrie get some sleep in this place.'' Dax hears the woman angrily m.o.a.ning. ''Miss!!'' He again pokes her and finaly the woman wakes up. Only now he can see the woman beautiful face and red eyes. ''Hm eho might you be boy?!'' The woman says while smiling enchanting at him. ''I'm Dax. Who are you and what are you doing at my hideout?'' ''Ah it's yours! Well I'm Maria Odin-Coen. My husband calls me Red so I guess that also works. The reason why I sleep on your roof is that a specific unnamed cupple had to be very noisy last night so I slept here.'' Just when Red finishes her words a sudden quake goes through the fortress and the parts of the flodden parts of the fortress rise above water. becoming visible.
