Pokemon The Force

Chapter 72 - 49: Registering for the Indigo League

A month has passed by, as Soul was getting ready to register himself to the Indigo Plateau.

For the past month, he has been training with his Pokemons inside the forest.

The situation between Mew and Shadow was getting better than when they first met.

They're both could tolerate each other and hold a small conversation.

He also met up with Gary and Daisy again. Let's just say, they were surprised to see him again and asked him a ton of questions about his journey.

His family also held a small bbq party for them and the Oak's family.

The food was delicious. Not a word needed to describe it. It was just delicious.

When Soul was about to leave, his parents and the Oak's family came and wish him good luck, as they all would be cheering on him.

Waving goodbye, Soul took out a Pokeball and sent Noivern out.

He then proceeds to ride on it as they all flew away.

After a few hours of flying, Soul and his team could see the stadium of Indigo Plateau.

Feeling butterfly in his stomach, Soul became excited along with his Pokemons.

Soul: 'Hopefully, there would be powerful foes for us to fight against.'

He thought as they landed in front of Victory Road entrance.

When he landed, a lot of curious eyes were looking at both him and the Pokemon he rode on.

???: Hey man, what kinds of Pokemon is that?

??? 2: I don't know man, but it's looked pretty strong.

Soul ignored them as he returned Noivern to its Pokeball.

When he was about to take a step in, he heard three different voices behind him, calling for his name.

Turning around, he could see Ashley, Opal, and Matthew running towards him.

This time he waited patiently for them to reach him.

Matthew: Hey Soul, it's nice to see you again.

Ashley: Yeah, at least you didn't run away from us again this time.

Opal: Well at least we all here.

Soul: Nice to see you guys again. It's been a while since we've met.

They all talked for a while before Soul, Ashley, and Opal went to register themselves to Indigo Plateau.

He also took notice of how grand and decorative the road was. Not to mention

the city outside.

When the three of them finished registering their name to the League, they all got the name of their opponent.

Luckily none of them was going to fight each other in the first round.

The first four days would be a pre-eliminating round until there were 16 trainers left.

Trainers could only use three Pokemon to fight against each other.

You can't recall your Pokemon, if you do that, you lose.

There are three other ways of how the trainer loses a match, but it isn't important to mention it right now.

Soul first opponent was someone called Charlie?

Where has he heard that name before? Mmm… must be his imagination.

When all trainer has registered themselves to the League, which was around 512 in total, Charles Goodshow gave them a speech.

Charles Goodshow: Hello everyone, my name is Charles Goodshow, you may know me as Mr. Goodshow. I want to say that I hope you all will give your best out there and that you will have fun battling against each other and gain more experience. Even if you lose, you can still try again next year. You all would have each your hut in the Pokemon League Village. That would be all, thank you very much.

All of the trainers clapped as each of them went their way. Some went to see their new hut.

Soul didn't go to his hut, instead, he went to find information about his opponent.

Arriving inside a room filled with computers, Soul took one of the vacant seats and start typing down his opponent's name.

Soul: 'Charlie, mostly use flying type Pokemon. His strongest Pokemon is a Golbat.'

Finishing looking at what he could find, Soul walked out and went to his hut.

Arriving there, he opened the door and closed it behind as Mew came out along with Anubis.

They both looked around as they try and familiarize themselves with their new house.

The next day, Soul got ready for his first battle. It would first be a pre-elimination round where only 256 trainers would go to the next round.

They would be fighting against each other on four different battlefields such as Rock, Grass, Water, and Ice.

He and Charlie would be fighting against each other in the first round. The place they would be fighting is at stadium 3.

There was 5 stadium in total, where differents trainers would battle so that it wouldn't take too long time for the first elimination round to be finished.

Walking to the stadium, Soul waited for the signal. After a while, a man in a butler uniform came and told him to get ready.

He nodded as he walked out of the gate, where he could hear tons of screams and yelling.

Commentator: Let's welcome our first contester, Soul from Pallet Town!

Applaud was heard as Soul walked to the battlefield. He could see someone also walked out of the gate.

Commentator: Next is Charlie from Emblem City!

When Soul heard that, he was a bit surprised. Isn't that the same kid name he beat easily with his Noibat a few months ago?

Charlie seemed like he didn't recognize Soul as he smirked confidently. Soul don't know what to say anymore…

Judge: This will be one against one. The first party that has all three of their Pokemons fainted, recall, unwilling to fight and asleep would lose. Now bring out your Pokemon!

Charlie: Go Pidgeotto!

Soul: Charizard, let's stretch out a little bit now, shall we?
