Pokemon: Trainer’s Log In A Chaotic World

Today was the day many people were looking forward to. It was the day to prove once and for all who is the best trainer. Pokemon battles between trainers was a tradition since ancient times.

The trainers and their Pokemon would stand in front of the masses, be it in colosseums or stadiums, and fight for fame, fortune, status. This tradition was cut short due to the cataclysm and people freed to eye Pokemon and those who train them. Now the first time in years Asadia will hold a Pokemon league type battle.

For the sake of time and since this is the first time people(in this age) see trainers battle the battles were limited to one vs one. Only the final match was given the right for a three on three. It was done like this because the league wasn't sure if people were truly open to this idea. If they saw one trainer with many types of Pokemon, the people might panic and the will be seen as a danger.

The league and the government don't want the current situation to relapse. This is why even in Pokemon movies, trainers had one or two Pokemon, were seen as good. Trying to survive in the same world as the people. A world where Pokemon would hunt and eat food humans if they had the chance.

This event was seen as important to many. The trainers want to see how higher rank trainers fight, they also want the honor and status of the winner. The people wanted entertainment and want to see how the trainers, who recently have been labeled as protectors, fight. The league wanted to be able to open private battle training grounds that was rejected by the government. The only place battles were conducted were in the gym and an appointment was needed.

The government want the people to stop fearing and improve the overall quality of life in asadia. The biggest shortage in the city-state were trainers. This was why it hope these events to shed light on pokemon and hopefully increase the amount of trainers in the city-state. It didn't want to be like the many city-states that have been erased back in the day, due to insufficient strength.

Austin was sitting next to Muliere and his teacher Chuck Norris. Behind them were Ginnette and her new friend Rachel, who joined the events of the games. The two had dropped out as they didn't feel strong enough to battle. Although Ginnette had Jumpluff, it wasn't a heavy hitter. She trained it to be more of a control/aoe type. This helped her with many C-rank missions. Her kirlia and wooper didn't evolve yet or they would have been excellent fighters.

Muliere was explaining why he hoped this event will be successful. Chuck Norris would respond but always changes the topic back to how it's a shame he couldn't take part. Austin felt he was dumb as he could of had his products and other businesses sponsored the trainers, while the trainers advertised the wares of businesses. Oh well maybe next time.

Chuck Norris: I hope at least this city-state is able to change.

Austin: why do you say that teacher? Is this event really that bad for people. I mean many The trainers had a brutal royal rumble yesterday.

Muliere: "Well their was slight panick and we had to advertise that it was fully controlled(fixed) by the entertainment industry. You don't get kid. The reason humans truly fear Pokemon isn't just due to the change in those monsters. Even before the cataclysm many died to the rampages of tyranitars and Hydreigons.

The biggest change we're humans themselves. The people respected trainers until trainers began to commit crimes. ****, murder, theft society became hell for normal people. The crime syndicate further intensified this fear. The league who were fighting against the waves of Pokemon failed to notice the change behind them.

When the world turned into a free for all only the strong rule. That was the excuse those people used to kill many innocent."

While Muliere was talking the participants were making their way towards the prepared stage.

Austin: So people let their greed get the better of them. I didn't notice this type of feeling in Asadia. If what you say is true then the political sphere of the world is too complicated.

Muliere: Asadia is different. Thanks to certain people, who erased this evil early on, Asadia is where it is today. I will tell you more later let enjoy the show.

Chuck Norris: Ya brat this is one of the reasons why I came here. Anyway let's enjoy the show.

Austin turned his head to face the large screen ahead. In his mind he was shocked. The Pokemon world have villains but the general way of the world was carefree and light. Unlike earth, that tended to be neutral the person deciding his affiliation. The world of Pokemon was brought as neutral-good characteristics. Even an evil person will admit his wrongs and try to change for the better.(based off original anime and games)

He could only resolve himself to be stronger. Deep inside he had begun to develop a fear he hadn't had before. He truly wasn't in the wrong in this. From surviving the Ordeal, to meeting Corrupted Pokemon, and learning about the treachery of the world. He grew cold just thinking he could trust anyone. This seems to be why Asadia has a tight leash on everyone in it. It also explains why they tried not to get help from other city states. Things weren't that simple.

The first to enter the stage were the D-ranks. Each participant drew a lot number. The numbers that followed each other would step onto the stage for a battle. Example 1-2, 3-4,5-6, etc.

The first match was against was Shreks and his snorlax against Raymond and his Onix. The battle was tough but onix managed to defeat snorlax with continuous blows. Snorlax didn't have fight moves and didn't seem trained properly. At least in the eyes of the better trainers this was the case.

The crowd were initially scared but seeing the unyielding spirit of snorlax snoring away at the onix caused them to cheer.

The next match was Whitney and her lopunny was placed against omar and his only other Pokemon pidgeotto. The match ended to omar who had aerial advantage. The crowd cheered for the winner.

The following match was against drake's weepinbell against Yelp's raticate. Surprisingly the winner was weepinbell. Drake had prepared a trap for raticate who had speed advantage. When raticate was at quick attacked weepinbell, it ignored the pain and wrapped it with its vines. After which, it used leech seed and ingrain to heal. Raticate who was leech seeded and wrapped, was hit with a poison powder at point blank. Then fainted due to a barrage of bullet seeds.

The crowd, Author, Muliere and Austin were stunned at the planing and battle style of Drake. Austin had to admit that this kid is smarter and more talented than Bobby (Jacob's brother).

The next fight was Fred and his Machoke against Nathan and his machoke. The match was like a kickboxing match on earth. Nathan's machoke managed to pull through and end it with a seismic toss.

The final match of the D rank knockout round was Cloud and his Noctowl against Roger and his Golbat. The fight was a close one with Roger winning with a successful combo of supersonic and air cutter.

The next round was Raymond against Omar, Nathan against Drake, free pass Roger.

Raymond's Onix showcases type advantage by defeating pidgeotto with perfectly aimed Rock Blast. The Author announced that it was allowed to use your other Pokemon just Incase the trainers forgot. This made omar embarrassed for trying to fight at a disadvantage.

The match after that was exciting Weepinbell vs Machoke. Many people thought that weepinbell would be out of the match. People judged too quickly. Weepinbell used acid while hopping around. It tried to delay Machoke from getting close. Machoke got poisoned by the constant firing of poison powder and acid.

A mistake was made by weepinbell who fired a vinewip. This was caught by Machoke who sent it dollying with a pun.. low kick. Machoke then used bulk up and focus energy. Weepinbell was damaged badly and Machoke was preparing a focus punch. Weepinbell bell used leech seed but it was dodged. It couldn't ingrain due to that making it a sitting target. Just when people thought it would lose it charged towards Machoke.

It slammed against Machoke before its move was prepared messing its focus. Then it followed with a poison jab and giga drain. Weepinbell was burnt out but it managed to overcome Machoke.

The next match was Drake and Drednaw against Raymond's onix. Once the match started onix was blasted with a hydro pump putting him out of the game.

The following match was Raymond and his golem against Roger and his mudbray (donkey Pokemon). Mudburry started with a magnitude while golem started with a rollout. The match ended in Raymond's win as his golem was far stronger than mudbray which fainted from the strongest rollout(fifth one as in game).

The last match was Drake and Drednaw Vs Roger and Golbat. Golbat put up a good fight and managed to get a few supersonic and confuse Ray. The issue was it couldn't truly damage Drednaw who finally beat it with a Jaw Lock followed by a headbutt. (The reason for then using only one was the other got too injured or it should have been two on two)

Author Notes: "Amazing the rising rookie of the D-ranks used his wits to defeat the stronger veteran D-rank trainers. The winner and New champion of the D-rank is Drake!!!please give him a round of applause.

The next match is the C-ranks. Two trainers Ginnette and Rachel have dropped out. Now please draw your lots C- rank so we can begin."

The first match was Jacob and his arcanine against Bobby and his panpour. Arcanine who was on a whole new level defeated panpour who was its type advantage. It used its speed and powerful flames to dodge and evaporate water moves and attacked with full force.

Jacob looks at his brother and says, " Sorry little bro you got a log way to go."

The next match was Philip and his Shiftry against Tobi and his Cricketune. A single extrasensory managed to defeat the little big. The fight was also quick and Tobi was proud of his adopted little bro for coming so far.

The following match was Jennifer and her herder against Sky and her ninjask. The match was tough, especially for herder. Ninjasks speed wasn't any joke. It was also a heavy hitter. Herder used defense curl, double team, and endure to try to cope with ninjask's speedy strikes. Finally a final showdown ninjask used X-scissor against Herder's reversal.

Boom herder fainted with ninjask barely flying. It was almost a reversal.

The final knockout round was Doritos and Vibrava against Hugo and Agron. This match was a tough one flamethrower of vibrava and aggron's iron defense, metal sound and rock throw. Vibrava was pushed towards the losing end when it began to glow. This was the second time the audience saw this happen. Flygon emerged with a strong will to fight. It began using earthquake. It flew around while striking with flamethrower.

This switched the field with flygon dealing stronger damage. Vibrava output was weaker putting agron in an advantage even though it can fly. Now the situation is different flygon is hitting Agron heavily but barely getting hit.

Hugo was waiting for an opening. Once it comes it will be when flygon falls. Agron only needed to endure. Flagon flew a bit close and agron used Metal Burst. This dealt strong damage to flygon(equal to 1.5X flygon's atk) delaying it a bit. Then it used automize which increased its speed by 2x and followed with a head on Iron Head. Doritos didn't lay around and used bulldoze. The final clash result was aggron in one knee and flygon knocked out.

After five minutes Philip and his Persian was going to go head to head against Jacobs Mightyena. Persian always lost in previous battles this Philip was here to win.

The battle was one of the most excited and Phillip's really did a number on mightyena. It lost in the end as when it snuck in for a faint attack it was met with a double edge. Mightyena endured better thank Persian making Jacob the winner.

The next match was Sky but this time she used a shiny slowbro. Hugo had his magniton. He hoped to be able to strike slowbro at its weakness.

Slowbro started with mudsport weakening lightning type moves. The it began to use water pulse and physic. The match was one sided with slowbro dominating. The only hit Hugo got lucky with was sonic boom and that was because slowbro loafed around. The fight ended with a future sight and psychic that struck magneton at the same time.

The finals was set 3v3 between Jacob and Veteren Sky. Mightyena was the first to appear on Jacob's side. Sky went with her slowbro. Her slowbro was strong but psychic move were ineffective on the dark attributed mightyena. Mightyena used dark pulse and knocked out slowbro with a crunch.

The second Pokémon called by Sky was her roserade. Jacob decided to call arcanine instead of continue with mightyena. Mightyena was also injured from its fight with slowbro. Seeing the situation sky recalled roserade and left Austin a few words saying she will use her first Pokemon. The Pokemon she called out was a Diancie.

Sky: I capture this Pokemon during my ordeal it was merely a carbink without any attacking ability. I was laughed at but I left my peers in dust. I am sorry but you will lose this. It is very rare of a carbink to transform into a diancie. It's as rare as encountering a mythical.

Jacob: bring it on!

Austin and Muliere were shocked by this Pokemon this was a diancie. It very difficult to come across let alone evolve a carbink into one.

Austin: this Sky is a talent! She should be close to B-rank I'm guessing.

Muliere:"Yes she is. She asked me to take the exam after games. She is one of the A Rank talents the city state helped groom.

After the brief chat, they focused on the battle.

Arcanine began by using agility to increase it's speed. Diancie used rock throw follows by harden. The it used sharpen and ancient power. Arcanine used double team to dodge and followed with sunny day. The temperature increased in the stadium. Arcanine attacked with flame charge as it was difficult to dodge the ancient power.

Diancie used guard split after the attack and then began to charge It earth energy for a power gem attack. Arcanine used extremespeed to dodge and attacked with fire blast. The fireblast met the Diancie hurting it. Then Arcanine used quick attack and fire fang. Seeing no chance for it to dodge it used harden and countered with ancient power.

After this exchange Jacob saw how disadvantaged he was. Although he can use fire moves, it's weak against the rock type Diancie. Diancie also has clear body and overpowered defense and special defense that can rival Austin's crystal onix.

Jacob decided it use their strongest move combo to beat this Pokemon, as it will be the end of Arcanine if this continued. Diancie danced in the air which looked like it powered up from ancient power.

Arcanine used howl and then agility again. Using extreme speed it appeared behind Diancie and fire overheat. Diancie used light screen the minute Arcanine disappeared. The overhear was still unbearable and pushed it back. Seeing this, Sky had it use harden and stone edge.

At the exact moment Arcanine who was worn out used howl and then it used flame charge to increase its speed further it combined it with extremespeed.

Austin stood up at the sight. He felt he was dumb. Why didn't he think of using two moves simultaneously. This Jacob is a talent to figure it out.

Again it appeared in front of Diancie who was about to fire a stone edge. Arcanine superimposed on its earliermoves with flame blitz. The stone edge was released but met the flame blitz of Arcanine the explosion of both moves pushed Diancie back. Arcanine again appeared near it this time injured badly and used reversal a fight move. Seeing no way of dodging Diancie used its strongest attack diamond storm.

Arcanine fainted from its wounds. Jacob was proud that it held up so well. Diancie wasn't doing well either but it could still fight.

Sky recalled her Pokemon and called out Roserade. Without an option he called out his mightyena who rested a bit.

This battle was the best battle by far. The skill of each trainer their Pokemon. The crowd was cheering. Many wanted sky to win. Other's cheering Jacob on. Jacob closed his eyes and indulged in the moment.

Jacob: "Let do this Buddy!"

Mightyena:*howls*in response.

Austin was probably the most excited. Screw the games, the anime, etc real life witnessing this event is the only way. He got Goosebumps from the excitement.

Now Jacob's mightyena was fighting full force. Using moves to increase its strength while weakening the stronger roserade.

Roserade was also going all out and it was using it control skills perfectly. The powders, the confuse ray, healing skills leech seed.

This was an exciting match, the trainers trying to one up each other. This is only possible when the strengths of the trainers are similar. They also need a good understanding of Pokemon moves.

Jacob managed to find a chance and struck with a fire fang after a double team. Once Roserade fainted, his mightyena howled loudly declaring itself the winner before fainting due to poison.

Jacob recalled it and has only one Pokemon left. It was a good thing he changed his darspar for his pidgeotto. At least his bird had a chance. Ground type and dragon type can barely damage Diancie.

Sky called out Diancie. Although she appeared calm, inwardly she was shock at Jacobs and his Pokémon's demeanor. She may be a 3 years older but his style and training made for the gap. She suddenly a bit interested in this trainer

Ginnette: Jacob is amazing! To hold out against such a strong veteran trainer is awesome.

Bobby has stars in his eyes: My brother is this strong?! amazing! The way he fought was great. I learned a lot. So I should look up Pokemon moves and learn as much about them as I can.

Austin: it's not just that. Learning when to use what, what moves counters what, how to think outside of the box. Jacob must have worked hard to the point he even combined moves. This is not easy to do and need a lot of training.

Chuck Norris: you were that shocked by that move that used two moves at the same time.

Austin: yes actually my line of thinking to to use combos and follow ups. Never once did it occur to me it's possible to use moves simultaneously. This gives me a method to train my Pokemon.

Jennifer: who do you think would win?

Austin: Based in type advantage the exhausted Diancie. Based on strength Diancie. Based on luck pidgeotto. If it knows steel wing it's possible for it to win.

The rest were shocked at his acessment other than Muliere and Norris.

Jacob's pidgeotto was dodging attacks but it was difficult for it to hurt Diancie. Jacob noticed that this high intensity battle was exhausting his Pokemon faster. He had it use agility, then double team finally quick attack.

Once the quick attack landed, pidgeotto did a 360 and strict with Aerial ace. Jacob noticing a rock throw quickly had his out of breath pidgeotto use air slash. This move worked and caused Diancie to flinch. Giving enough time for pidgeotto to land near Jacob to catch its breath.

Jacob: hey buddy you did great I don't want to see you hurt. How about stopping here?

Pidgeotto was stubborn and stared straight into Jacob's eyes. Feeling it's fighting spirit he decided to go out with a bang.

Jacob smiled and said: "Fine let's do this. Let's show everyone what were made of."

Pidgeotto chirped loudly and suddenly lit up and began to grow. "Pidgeot!"

Jacob couldn't help but feel excited. He might have a chance.

Sky once again was shocked at her opponent. This time she couldn't use weak move to tire her opponent's Pokemon out.

Jacob's pidgeot was bigger than average at 1,7 meter tall. It wing span was bigger than normal. Jacob has it fly at Mach 2 speed and use air slash.

Diancie used harden and fired a stone edge. Pidgeot dodged with double team and charged for an aerial ace. Once it got close it used mirrormove and fired a stone edge at such a close range Diancie, who was on its last steps(energy). This could be it. The announcer was constantly hyping the crowd suddenly got quiet.

Is this the end!

Sky suddenly yelled reflect, blasting the stone edge back to Pidgeot. Diancie didn't stop there and use diamond storm. Pidgeot was struggling to stand up fainted. Jacob was satisfied even though he didn't win.

Author Notes: there you have it folks Sky is the winner the Champ among the C-ranks. Jacob was amazing in his own rite. This was the best battle I've seen in all my life. It will definitely be record in the history books.
