Chapter 12 - HOENN FIRST CATCH

A beautiful morning has arrived I woke up early to have a morning walk on the streets of Ever Grande City walking with me is my Growlithe ,its a great time to train its speed and endurance . Even that Ever Grande City is a progressive and modern city their surroundings is naturally preserved where this city becomes known as a nature loving city and the greenest urban area

We went to the City park where we seen a lot of people also having a walk together with their pokemon . I seen some new pokemon that could be found only in Hoenn Region like Skitty, Zigzagoon , and Whismur.

A pokemon caught my attention several Tailow is in a tree playing and others are on park feeding some seed . I wanted to catch one but the Park Ranger told me that all of them we're prohibited to catch because they we're cared under City control.

So I let them just play there and I left them undisturbed. Sun is rising and I started to went back to the Hotel to fix my stuff for later adventure will be doing.

As I arrived at my room I heard that Hiennrich and Gregory are woke already , I entered the room and I saw them having a breakfast .

" Good morning bro , Where have you been?" Hiennrich said.

" I'd took a morning walk with Growlithe." I replied.

" Come here , and have your breakfast ." Gregory invited me .

I sit on the vacant chair and have my breakfast too. Gregory cooked all this food its kinda delicious.

" You know guys this place was truly a paradise for us and for pokemons."

" Really bro ? " Gregory asked.

" Yes bro , As I went on a Sight seeing I am so amazed on how the City preserved their nature ." I answered.

" Hurry guys , and let's see what is out there ." Hiennrich stated . I didn't see him finish his food he just have a sip of his milk , and immediately fix his stuff. You can see that he is really excited .

" I'm finished bro ." I said .

" Me too ." Gregory added.

Gregory clean the table first and washed the dishes while I cleaned the living room , Afterwards I take a bath and put all the stuff I'll be needing in my sling bag.

Hiennrich wears a white shirt and a black hoody jacket on it , he match it with black cargo pants and a sneakers, he also have his small backpack .

Gregory wears his traditional clothes in their city , a brown Thobe partnered with brown traditional loose pants and he wears a Keffiyeh on his head .

I wore a camo green long sleeves shirts match with a black cargo pants and a pair of combat boots. I wear a cap as a protection against extreme sunlight. I bring also with me maps of Hoenn pokemon sites.

First site we are going is the Ever Grande Falls and its forest near in it. We walked about a 15 minutes to reach the place we called out our trekking partners. Hiennrich is with Pidgey , Gregory is with Marowak and I'm with Growlithe .

Growlithe is for trace the path , Pidgey for wider range of tracking and Marowak for anti ambush. Entering a forest is the most dangerous way trainers done mostly those forest there unfamiliar with . You don't know what danger is in here , there are lots of wild pokemon might attack you and even bandits .

Near the River bank is the first sighting , We saw a Deerling drinking on the water . Gregory got interested on it so we allowed him to catch it . But before he comes near to it , it run fast and disappear instantly.

On the tree branches we're hanging many Kakunas and some Pineco . I am a fan of Brock's Forretress so I caught one Pineco .

Pineco is a blue-green, pinecone-like Pokémon with red eyes and no visible limbs. It has a single spike on top of its head, which is supposedly its stem. It makes its shell thicker by gluing tree bark to its body. The glue is made of fluid that Pineco spits out, which hardens when it is exposed to air. Unbothered by the added weight of its shell, it patiently hangs from a tree branch to wait for flying insect prey. In Alola, its favorite prey is Cutiefly. Typically immobile, it will drop to the ground and explode if someone shakes its tree while it is eating.

It was an easy catch for me because it maybe explode once it was touch , exploding is its defense mechanism since it is immobile it also uses its spike to catch insect prey , its glue structure on its body produces sweet scent glucose that attracts prey.

On the other side of the trees Hiennrich saw something and went near to it he called out his Pidgey to chase it .

" Pidgey , Chase that pokemon !."

Piiii...

The pokemon jumps from one tree to another and suddenly pidget stop chasing it .

" Where it goes pidgey ?? "

That pokemon was disappeared , Growlithe came to a tree and bark loudly .

" Bro I think that thing was here on the top of this tree".

We can't even see any clue that a pokemon is on this tree, only Growlithe can it might smell its odor. Hiennrich ordered his Pidgey to use gust to shake the tree.

Piii..

The tree branches we're shaken and a treecko fell down to the ground . Hiennrich take advantage and catch it , Successfully he does catch it .

Treecko is a small, green, bipedal reptilian Pokémon. It has yellow eyes with long, narrow pupils. Treecko's hands and feet each have three digits covered with tiny spikes. These spikes allow it to scale vertical walls with ease. Its stomach and throat are red. It also has a line across on its stomach resembling a pouch. Treecko has a large, dark green tail with two separate lobes that it uses to sense humidity. This ability allows it to predict the next day's weather.

Treecko is a bit of a rarity in the wild, and is more common in captivity. However, when in the wild, Treecko lives inside overgrown forests. It makes its home in tall trees, and will attack anyone that comes near its nest. Because of its territorial nature, it is known to be the protector of the forest's trees. Treecko is known for its calm and collected personality. It will never panic under any circ.u.mstances, even when faced with a bigger foe.

" Bro great catch ! that was a rare one ! " Gregory said.

" Yeah bro , great catch !! " I added.

" Thanks guys ." he replied.

On our way to the falls we looted some honey comb on the trees and collected about 10 liters of honey each . The City government prohibits any death or catching of beedrill or combee in the area so we didn't catch any we just let them unharmed.

We reached the River , Gregory do not have his first catch of the day . Not until we spotted a nosepass walking near the rocks on the riveside and maybe lost its way back to its habitat, I know that Nosepass mostly lives in caves. We know that Gregory loves Ground type and Rock type pokemon so we let him catch it.

Nosepass is a blue, angular, hard bipedal Pokémon that closely resembles the Easter Island Heads. Its bright red, triangular nose is highly magnetic and slightly resembles a 3D arrow. This nose functions as an electromagner and always points north. It has arms and legs without any visible joints and small, circular holes on the undersides. Its arms resemble compass needles. It has similar circular holes on the sides of its head. Its eyes, covered by dark, somewhat mask-like markings, have the appearance of being closed.

Nosepass cannot go near others, since it would repel them with its magnetic nose. Its magnetism is stronger in cold seasons. To protect itself when in danger, it raises its magnetism and draws iron objects to its body. This technique is also used to capture prey, though it can pull natural enemies close too. Nosepass only moves a little over 3/8 of an inch each year, but can quickly spin its body into the ground like a drill during emergency situations. It lives in caves.

This Nosepass seems so tired from roaming around the rocks that it slowly moves . Gregory went near to it and check its condition and he found out something . It has an injury near its right toe. He give it a first aid and even fed it and after he give some sort of rock type supplement.

" Are you going to catch it ?" Hiennrich asked .

" Yes bro ." Gregory answered.

Gregory asked Nosepass if it want to be a part of his team..

"do you want to join me in my journey ??"

Gregory threw a pokeball and able to catch Nosepass. A day ended we've successfully have our first catch in Hoenn Region . It's getting dark now so we decided to build a tent here and made a bonfire on the center . Bonfire is important for camping not just to give heat and light but also to avoid wild nocturnal pokemon from attacking us , a day was ended very good we had our first catch . Here's an update of our current pokemon.
