Pregnant At Seventeen Of Triplets

Chapter 21 - 21: John’s Point a view

Not an ordinary day for me… I reached the police station in fifteen minutes, good timing if you asked me. The triplets were excited about the outing.

They were all smiling and were trying to run around, but I being the smart mother of them had quickly strapped them into a pram that they all fit into. I had not been into a police station before and I was a little curious and slightly scared. I didn't want to put any „shady‟ people near the kids and I was afraid that they would get scared.

I made a promise to get in and out as fast as I could. I walked up to the desk, pushing the stroller. "Hi, I am here to get John Keller", I said politely. The receptionist looked up and smiled at me friendly. "Sure I will let the Deputy know that you are here" she replied and walked into an office over the side. She returned a few minutes later and told me to step into the Deputy‟s office to sign some paperwork.

I did. The office was plain and a little, well extremely boring. There was a beefy man in a police uniform sitting behind a desk and I spotted John sitting in a lounge chair in the corner. He looked up when I entered, and his eyes widened at the sight of the pram.

"Why the hell are they here," he asked hoarsely. "There wasn't anyone to look after them, anyway they are enjoying themselves." It was true, they were all chatting away happily, like the change of scenery. Not sure if I liked the idea of them being so at home at a police station.

I turned to talk to the Deputy when a loud bang followed by a scream came from outside. The Deputy grabbed his gun from under his desk just as the door to his office was flung open. I stood there in fear as I saw a man standing there with a gun pointed at me.

My first thought was that I hoped that he would threaten or hurt the triplets, but that was changed when he grabbed me roughly by my arm.

I could feel the bruise starting to form already and the circulation in my arm was already being cut off. I couldn't feel my fingers or my anything below my upper arm. I felt something cold and metal at my side, just below my b.r.e.a.s.t. "Hey there John-y" came the voice in my ear.

I looked at John, my vision becoming blurry, and I realized that I was crying. John looked at me petrified. I could tell that he wanted to do something, but he couldn't risk me or the triplets. I didn't care about me; all I wanted was the kids to be okay.

John's Point a view

I saw Amelia walk in pushing a three-seater stroller. I was furious that she would bring them here, but she said that she didn't have anyone to look after them, so I calmed down, just hoping to get out of here ASAP. I had always hated police stations.

I jerked up when I heard loud noises that were coming from outside. I looked over to Amelia and the triplets and had a huge protective urge to look after them. I went to get up to be closer to them just in case when the door smashed open to reveal Lionel.
