Pregnant At Seventeen Of Triplets

Chapter 61 - Will you marry me

Did I want to marry John? That was my main question, and the answer was of course I did. No matter what we had been through in the past three or four years I still loved him. It either meant that I loved him unconditionally or that I was insane.

Right now looking at my current predicament I was guessing that it was the second. Other questions were running through my head, which was starting to hurt right now. Damn, this is why I didn't think so much, my brain wasn't made to deal with lots of thinking of once.

I notice that there was nothing I could do right now, so I headed back to the cabin to see if John was there, which I was positive he was, then we could talk. I knew that I was going to marry him, but there are a few things that I want to sort out first.

It would be a mistake to jump back into everything now. No matter how much I loved him. The walk back to the cabin took longer than I expected and by the time I got back, it was getting dark. I had not thought that I was out there for so long, but I guess the sun couldn't lie.

I picked up my pace as I walked back, not wanting to be caught out at dark. I was about halfway when I felt water drip onto my nose. I looked up expecting it to be some animal that had just peed on me but I shocked to see that it was no animal.

The sky was almost covered in black and green clouds. This area was famous for the strongest storms on this side of the country, and the most sudden. They came in, in a matter of minutes and could last for days, destroying almost everything it touched. My heart rate began to speed up as I thought of the consequences of being caught out in this; I need to be home soon.

I began to run faster than I have ever run in my life. I kept running until there was a blinding pain in my head and I saw the ground rush up at me before complete and utter darkness. John‟s Point a view "Amelia…" I said quietly sitting back down in front of me, my hand on her knee. "What the f**k is this?" she asked incredulously "Well I thought that is pretty self-explanatory," I said matter of fact, it was an engagement ring.

Lord, how was she going to act? I don‟t think I could handle it if she said no. "But it is a... You couldn't…would you? I mean it‟s… but what…"

she stuttered this wasn't a good sign. "Well I had planned it a bit differently but since you are so curious," I said quietly, hoping that I was right in thinking that she still loved me, that I had not royally f.u.c.k.e.d it up, or else I was about to make a complete idiot out of myself.

"Amelia, I love you. Will you marry me?" I asked She looked at me then back at the amazing ring, I had spent a fortune on, nested in the box. "What?!?" she yelled. "I just asked you to marry me," I said quietly, thinking that I didn't like the way this was heading, this wasn't the reaction I had planned on or hoped for.

"But we only just got back together, we-we" she stuttered, looking very confused. She stared at me incredulously and I knew that I shouldn't have asked her. She did not love me. "John-" She said softly, looking confused "Nah it is ok", I said quickly cutting her off, "I get it if you don‟t want to as well".

I got up and jogged away before tears fell. I had thought that after last night things were different. I ran towards the house, not knowing where else I could go. Amelia would be home soon, I was not looking forward to seeing her after making such a fool out of myself, but that couldn't be helped.

I reached the house in no time at all and went inside to get a drink, and no, I was not going to drown my sorrows in alcohol, I didn't believe in doing that. I sat in the living room, beer in my hand waiting for Amelia to get home. It was taking a long time, so I went out and stood on the porch and saw a disturbing sight.

One of the infamous storms; all are curious but none wanted to be caught in. I looked around in panic but saw no Amelia. I knew the reputation of these storms but had never seen one. I ran inside and grabbed my jacket and cell.

I tried to call Amelia‟s number but the cell towers were out. Damn! I gritted my teeth in frustration as I ran towards the lake, where I had seen Amelia last, I was almost halfway there when I spotted her and what I saw made my blood run cold and a wave of nausea to hit me.
