Pregnant At Seventeen Of Triplets

Chapter 65 - What do you mean

During those three days was pure, a.d.u.l.terated bliss. John and I had both taken the time to get to know each other again.

"Amelia?!" I heard my name being called and turned around towards to emergency crew that was cleaning up and saw my mother racing towards me, worry etched through her face. "I am an okay mom," I said as she threw her arms around me.

"Lord, I am sorry, I should never put you both out here all alone, I mean am I stupid? It was almost storm season, when I heard I was frantic, I-I"

"Mom!" I interrupted loudly before she could work herself up more than she already was. "We are both ok, actually we are both more than ok," I said trying to subtly flash my ring that was nestled on my left hand.

"Oh, I knew that you and John were both resourceful but it can get so bad out here. I mean I was stuck out here with your father once and…" I stopped listening, only because I had heard the story so many times. I looked over at John and saw him talking with one of the emergency workers about something.

Like always he looked amazing. He looked at me out the corner of his eye and smiled. I felt that warm fuzzy feeling that I had not felt in years. And this time I knew that whatever John and I were getting into…mainly marriage… was for keeps.

"…Anyway… I am sorry for just dumping you both here", I heard my mom distantly finish. I turned back to look at her to see her smiling. Not her usual „I am reminiscing‟ smile but a very happy like a teenager in love.

"What?" I asked with a smile "You both seem so happy. It makes me think that maybe abandoning you both out here was a good idea… no matter what happened" she said with a knowing smile. I looked at her as if I was trying to work out what she was talking about. "What do you mean?" "I am your mother.

Mothers know everything" she said still smiling "Ok, you know I am a mother now as well and I say that but I still have got no idea how Ava keeps getting the lipstick I now lock away. She always finds a way to get at it" I said thinking about the kids.

I let out a laughed, they were some kooky toddlers. "Ok, Well I have to get going. I have to meet someone about something to discuss this and that" she said searching her pockets for the keys to her car. "Hmm yeah and that is not vague at all is it mom?"

"Of course not. Not if mothers know everything" I smiled as I watched her retreat from the house. "Oh, and let me know when you set a date. I don‟t want to miss my youngest daughter‟s wedding do I?" she called back as she left.

I turned to look at her and I smiled. My mother will ever change. I sat on the porch watching all the emergency people doing their job, and maybe possibly watching John and his a.s.s a lot… just maybe. They all left about half an hour after my mother, once they made us promise that we could leave and would do so in the next few hours in case another storm hit during the night.

"So I should start packing up all the shit we bought, shouldn't I," I said thoughtfully as John wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my forehead. "Mmmm, yeah we should but the idea of being stuck out here with just you is not so bad," he said, and I could feel him smiling into my hair. I smiled in response.

"I know the feeling. But I have a hunch that mom told Sophia that we were headed home, so Sophia told Mae, Ava, and Adam so I think we will have some excited babies" "Lord, I have not seen them in too long." He said and raced off to the cabin at full speed.

"Hey," I said running after him, "where are you running to?" "I want to see my kids," he said with a smile and kept grabbing all our things and throwing them into suitcases. I watched him with amus.e.m.e.nt and then confusion.
