Prodigious Who Am I

Gusion goes back to the police station and asks about the status of the investigation on their case but just like what they always say, still nothing yet.

He then leaves the station to go to his usual spot to perform.

"It kinda feels like I'm in a loop." Gusion sighs, "Time to perform, again!"

Heading to his usual spot for his performance he saw a crowd of people clapping and laughing, he got curious about what they are watching so he joins them. He saw someone, a performer just like him, a magician. People were laughing as the stranger performs. They almost have the same tricks but the stranger has a lot more under his sleeves and every time he does an act he makes the crowd laugh.

After the performance, Gusion heads to the stranger's tent and confronts the stranger for performing on his usual spot.

The stranger tells him, "Hey kid this is a free country; You do not own this place, just like you I need to earn money.

Gusion tells the stranger to find another spot. The stranger packs his things and stays a little bit to watch Gusion's performance.

Gusion then starts to perform but sadly the audiences booed him and walk away. He still continues to perform even though there are only a few people left to watch his performance. He blames the stranger for doing an act on his spot. Now he only got few audiences.

After the act, Gusion sees the stranger again so he confronts him to tell that it is his fault. Again the stranger tells Gusion that, "Kid this is a free country, I do not even know that you always perform on that spot, I am sorry."

Gusion suddenly asks the stranger about his trick, "The way you perform out there, are you a professional magician?"

Stranger answers, "Magician?, I don't think it is the right word; I would rather use the title "Illusionist" than Magician, because all the acts we do are just illusions, we only want them to see what we want them to see, that there is magic, but the truth is we only confuse the audience for them to say that it is magic; One example is the sleight of hand; As we do the trick, we want them to follow our movements, so they will, then we'll use a distraction for them to be confused how we did the trick; Sometimes we use props and sometimes we pay some participants to join us do the trick. There are so much more tricks some illusionist use."

Gusion asks, "So there is no magic?

The stranger laughs and replies, "There is magic; no there is no magic." The stranger just revokes what he said while laughing.

Stranger whispers, "If you only knew that "Prodigies" like us do exist. "

Gusion whispers, "Crazy old man!"

"Are you saying something kid?", Stranger asks.

After the conversation about magic, Gusion decides to ask the stranger to teach him more magic tricks but the stranger says,

"No!".

Gusion begs and keeps on begging the stranger.

The stranger then asks him, "What are you doing out here wasting your time performing; You should be with your family playing games, not here in the streets wasting time; Where are your parents? "

Gusion bows down and cries, "You're right!; I should be with them right now but it won't happen anymore; My parents are dead, my brother and sister got abducted. So I am here alone doing whatever it takes to earn money for me to survive every day, earn money to find those criminals and to find Harith and Oddette. I perform here almost every day but same tricks same act, maybe it is the reason why audiences find it boring cause it is the same act as yesterday so I am begging you to teach me more magic tricks. Please! "

The stranger tells Gusion that he is feeling sorry about what he just heard and about what happened in Gusion's past. The stranger breaths heavily and starts to think as he looks on Gusion's eyes. Stranger sighs, "Okay, I will." He then decides to teach him more, but have conditions.

"First I need you to show me that you are worthy to be my apprentice. Second I want you to put all those miseries away while you perform. Third! Last but not least, I need a place to sleep."

Gusion smiles, "Is that all? "

"Wait, Do you want me to add more, Do you want me to teach you or let's just forget we met?", Stranger jokes on Gusion.
