Project Doomsday Paradise

Chapter 54 - Change in position! (3)

Benji and Adam had a lot to do when they returned.

Adam teamed up with a blacksmith who asked him to help create armors for the hunters and guards. Cain's ability to control anything that had to do with metal turned out to be like a cheat.

The two of them created many parts of sturdy armor and all kinds of cold weapons.

Benji was busy clearing Red Zones in the north-east parts of the region with the Inner Core Members.

Weeks passed and it was January now. Most people didn't celebrate New Year. Too many of them had lost their loved ones when Doomsday arrived and they weren't in the mood to celebrate 2020.

Benji changed his clothes, he was wearing all black now. He had now two armor pieces on both shoulders, arms, legs and a c.h.e.s.tplate. The others also wore them now whenever they went out on a mission or guarded the walls of Dortmund.

Adam had a major breakthrough and managed to put his mutated animal under his control.

He didn't stop there, he went on to enslave more mutated beast to use them as mounts for the people, now that cars became useless.

Dortmund was quickly developing into a paradise for the survivors and every day would new survivors join their ranks.

Blutsiegel recruited the most talented of them.

["It's time to visit the other major cities, we have delayed it for a long time now."] Said Adam as he threw a red crystal into his mouth.

Benji was looking down on them map on the table, "That's right, I will begin with Wuppertal than Düsseldorf and Köln."

["Wuppertal is surrounded by a wall made of trees, my puppets couldn't get inside to see what it's like in there, Düsseldorf is crawling with mutated animals and Köln...I have no idea, every puppet that went there just vanished..."] Warned Adam him.

Benji smiled, "Finally something interesting, I was getting bored of clearing Red Zones."

["I sent some puppets toward Bonn and Gladbach but it will still take some time until they arrived there. I will give you an updated on both cities once they are there."]

"Alright, I will go now then."

["Are you sure you don't want to take someone with you?"] Asked Adam.

Benji shook his head, "No, I will go alone to check things out. You are needed here as Cain to produce armor and weapons for the people. The others have also their own missions, we can't spare any manpower now that we are expanding."

He exited his house, blasting off to the sky, heading towards Wuppertal.

Meanwhile somewhere in Japan...

Kaito was sitting inside a Dojo, two katanas placed in front of him...

His eyes were closed and he was wearing a dark-blue yukata.

Kaito had been meditating for hours, gaining more understanding about his powers.

Tsar's dead had shocked and alarmed him. He didn't trust his people that much and began to notice some things he didn't in the past.

His mistrust opened his eyes, Kaito observed the people around with scrutiny...

He was only 17 years old and was one of the youngest inside his faction. But he was the strongest and no one dared to go against him. He could see and feel now how there older people weren't comfortable with letting a teen like him be in charge of the biggest organisation in Japan...

'I need to become stronger!'

He explored the strange power flowing through him that he didn't really understand.

It was part of him just like his any other part of his body.

Kaito knew instinctively how to use it, he coated his katanas with his invisible energy. It allowed him to cut literally everything but...

He didn't know what it really was.

Kaito began slowly to sense things...

It was only a little bit in the beginning but it became clearer with the time passing.

Kaito didn't know how much time passed but his senses had grown to the extent that he could sense everything inside the Dojo...

He finally opened his red eyes and lifted his hand.

He pointed at the wall 15 meters away from starting to move his hand in the air.

Kaito observed the wall across him, there was now a circle carved on it that wasn't there before...

Kaito frowned, closing his eyes again to meditate on the feeling he just experienced.

His mind dived deeper inside, entering a strange space.

He found himself inside the middle of the cosmos.

There was an endless amount of stars shining in the distance, he was floating relaxed through the dark space that was illuminated by the stars.

Kaito was shocked to some degree, he let the strange energy flood his body and he felt like a door opened, leading him to a new height.

He grasped something very profound.

'I have been living inside it all my life...I moved inside it...It's always around me...'

Kaito stopped floating and stepped on an invisible platform he created with his thoughts.

He took a single step forward, it was only a simple step but the scenery around him changed completely.

He blinked and found himself back inside the Dojo.

The way perceived everything around him had changed...

Kaito stood up, picking up his two katanas.

He turned his head, staring into the distance, there was a wall in front of him but he seemed to see through it...

Kaito took a single step forward traveling hundreds of kilometers in a second!

He arrived in the middle of a forest filled with red fog, a majestic tree towering in front of him...

This was one of the the most dangereus places in Japan and people didn't dare to enter it.

The mutated animals noticed his presence, starting to roar out, pouncing madly at him.

Kaito was calm despite the fact that so many mutated animals were heading his way to rip him apart, eat his flesh and drink his blood...

What followed was an absolute massacre.

It didn't matter how many or how strong the animals were, they were all cut apart by his katanas.

He would appear on another place whenever they were about to touch him, and then falling on the ground with their bodies being cut into halves.

His face remained calm through the whole massacre like it was a walk in the park...

An unthinkable amount of blood-stained the whole center of the forest.

Kaito looked around him, there were so many corpses lying on the ground but his yukata and katana were stainless.

He looked like a deity of carnage that arrived on earth to plunge the world into chaos and death.

His b.a.r.e feet never touched the ground, he was standing a bit higher of the ground on an invisible platform...

"Space..." Whispered Kaito as he slashed a skull from a mutated wolf-like animal.

He didn't find a tiny crystal to his surprise, his eyes wandered to the crystal horn on the head of it instead...

'Hm...'

Kaito put his clean katanas back into their scabbard.

He reached down to pick up the red crystal horn...
