Protector of the weak...

Mi Yin listen to her loud laugh as he watch Min Ju laughing with her hands on her h.i.p.s.

The laugh was so loud that it gets the attention of many.

Either way Min Ju paid them no heed.

She didn't said anything funny. Why would she laugh so hard? This was the question that lingers through Mi Yin's mind.

'To be honest. I like that she was the protector of the weak. It means there are still people like her who actually have a heart.'

In the Infirmary, Mi Yin stared at Min Ju who skipped class just to stay with her.

She doesn't really know what to say beside the word thanks. After that she took out her earphone to listen some music in her phone.

Nonetheless, her mood turn better and she started a chat with Min Ju.

"I am Mi Yin. Do you know MJ? She's currently a famous newbie in the music industry. She release her two song through MySound. She already gained a lot of listeners there. She also had a lot of of views in YouTube. I'm very happy for her. Some enjoys her music. And some were curious about her. It has been a month and the hype still hasn't died down."

Remembering that she was chosen by MJ for her next project. Mi Yin let out a sigh.

"What's wrong?"

"I just don't know if I deserve to be chosen by her. I mean looked at me. I'm fat and ugly." Her deprecating voice stab Min Ju's heart.

"Does appearances matter? You're not fat. You're not ugly. It's just the way you are. This is your unique you. Our physical appearance is just a colorful wrapping that contains the most beautiful thing inside.

Mi Yin, the most beautiful person in the world is having a good heart." Min Ju points at Mi Yin's c.h.e.s.t.

"It's there inside you. What matters is not who you are. It's what who you chose to be.

I know that, all of us has certain stories behind us. We are our own hero, and we are our own villain. Life is full of things to talk about you know." Her perfectly white teeth showed as she smiled.

"In my story, I am the main protagonist. But maybe for the others, I am just a certain villain, an obstacle that they need to take down." Min Ju stand up in front of the open window and slid her hands under her pockets. Her eyes narrowing watching the people playing soccer.

"Life has always been this way. Our book only ends when we die."

"How about those happy endings?"

"This ain't fairytale, girlie. Though, fairytales may have their ups and downs, it was just after all a story. They end with happily ever after. But what about real life? We also have our ups and downs but you know what? We continue living. Our happily ever after isn't the end, it's the beginning."

Happily ever after isn't an end but a beginning. We continue living through ups and downs and if we died, that's when our book ended.

'I get it.'

Min Ju sat herself in a single leather couch in the infirmary room and cross her legs.

"Do you hate that you were born like this?" It was a direct question.

Mi Yin was unable to answer immediately.

She nodded. "Living all alone. No one to talk to. No one to cry to. I hate it that everyone doesn't like me!" She said and burst into tears.

"You're wrong. Aren't I here now? You can talk to me. I'll be a crying pillow. And not everyone doesn't like you." Min Ju smiled.

"It doesn't matter that you're not complimented. Life can be harsh sometimes, but always remember to continue laughing despite everything. For as long as you continue living. Good things will come your way."

Mi Yin wipe her tears roughly using the sleeve of her uniform. She sniffles and smile.

"You always have a way to create flawless words." Mi Yin chuckles.

"It comes from the heart." She stood up to pour a glass of water and give it to Mi Yin.

"Thanks."

Suddenly, a gust of wind enter the room, making Min Ju's hair blazer viciously fluttered.

"Let's slay the world, Mi Yin."
