Chapter 71 - Future Husband

"Yes, we have thought of this. The brother and sister insisted to search for the Su's and we tried to find a lead but end up nothing. They were brought in court for the accusations against the Su. Your brother Junlin and Min Ji lost all of their wealth because of this." Qing Wu Yao clasped his hands together.

"There are no other leads? What about that stepfather of mine?" There was sarcasm in Min Ju's tone.

"He's clear."

"That person called An Yang?"

"How'd you know about him."

"Through Han Lian. He told me that he is Su Mei's boyfriend. Now, tell me."

He shook his head, "We didn't find anything. He had no connection to your father's disappearance."

Min Ju's face drain with color after the talk.

"And then you all stop just like that?" She tried to squeeze this sentence out of her lips with difficulty.

"Min Ju, it doesn't meant we have already given up. There's just no point of continuing the search. In the course of 2 years, we search every nook and crook of the world. We had already lost."

"Well, I hate losing." She stood up. There was anger written all over her face. Qing Wu Yao was stunned.

"You still haven't found the body...yet you already stop. Did you even think on what's happening on him right now? What if he was suffering? There's still hope!"

Qing Wu Yao hugged the trembling body of the woman. "Me... I didn't stop because I believe that I can find him." She said. However, bitter news about her twin brother is already approaching.

"I still have hope that I can find Min Jun. He's my brother. The only person who always called me in the middle of the night just to ensure I'm okay. The only person who I knew who work very hard everyday. The person who called me with brightness in his voice hiding the fact that he was actually very tired. No one knows what I'm feeling inside if they brought bad news about him to me!" Her eyes started to water.

"What am I going to do with that?"

Qing Wu Yao was still hugging her. Comforting him. He remain silent, listening to her cracking voice.

"I'll be here. We'll be here." He said softly.

"When it comes talking about the family. I breakdown. I'm so weak." She wipes her tears and snots on Qing Wu Yao's shoulder.

"Ah, why am I crying? I even revealed my weakness!"

"Don't worry about it. I'm your future husband anyway."

What? Such shamelessness!

"Shameless! Okay, stop hugging me now." Min Ju wriggle.

Damn it, Min Ju!

"I need more hugs."

"No. This is s.e.x.u.a.l harassment!" Min Ju slap the back of this man with full force but the guy didn't even budge.

"Just by hugging you? I don't need to worry since I'm just comforting my wife." Qing Wu Yao's lips curve up. He didn't know that he was so shameless before. I guess, when it only comes to her.

"Okay, fine. Five minutes." Min Ju stands still. She doesn't know what to do. Will she hugged him back? Her hands were raise a little, trying to think if she will hugged him. She felt Qing Wu Yao's hugged tighten on her, in the end she still hugged him back and rest her head on his shoulder. "Stealing" the warmth of his body.

"Better." He muttered.

He Rue, Lin Zhu, and Mi Yin arrived at the Fu Manor. They greeted the bodyguards in the gate before entering.

"Qing Wu Yao is here? What's he doing here?"

"Maybe to ask for her hand?"

"In marriage? Or to be his girlfriend?"

The three of them ask each other at the same time end up in the same conclusion.

"Same." That was the answer in the third question which is ask by Lin Zhu.

"Anyway, let's surprise them."

When they entered the living room, they didn't find Qing Wu Yao nor Min Ju's shadow. Then they remembered what Min Ju said earlier.

"Must be in her room."
