Chapter 272: Match Officially Starts

"Trisha, don't start a fight."

Teren said to her which she just smiled.

"A fight? Aren't we just having a talk, right, Cat?"

"Call me Cat one more time..."

Catherine pointed at her. Teren didn't know why these two are like this. They just met, right?

"Come on, Catherine, let it go." he then tried to mediate but Catherine just pushed him aside to which Trisha held her wrist.

"Don't touch him."

"What's wrong with me touching him? You can but I can't? Teren, who even is this girl to you?"

Catherine looked at Teren, pressuring him.

"Wahh... they're fighting over him...! Why can't I experience that!?" Pack continued to cry at Sam's arms. Even the latter began to agree but still-

"I said get off me!"

"Are we seriously having a girl fight here while we're about to have our entrance, Bull?" Sean didn't know how to feel about this.

"Hm, but I didn't think the Boss is fighting over a man." Gomaro replied while rubbing his chin, "Teren, who is this guy?"

Meanwhile, the glasses guy saw Chihua lying on the ground.

"You... okay?"

That was the first time he spoke.

"Just kill me..." Chihua hoarsely replied as if he's on the verge of death.

"I'm not trying to pick a fight!" Catherine turned to them with a stomp and shouted as their voices could be clearly heard. The boys drifted their eyes away including Sean and Gomaro.

"Eh? So you're not trying to pick a fight in that state? I thought you were because I will fight whatever the type it is if you want."

Trisha's confidence surged out from her, intimidating Catherine a little. At this moment, Eline and Mira backed her up.

"I think I have met this girl," Eline said in a passive-aggressive manner while trying not to look Trisha in the eyes. They saw that Catherine was losing which was a rare sight, therefore, they went to help her in any way they can.

However, in front of Trisha, they felt an invisible pressure. But still, they couldn't leave their girlfriend behind so they spoke in a third person as if Trisha wasn't there.

"Yeah, I think I have too. Also, she's still not saying what's her relationship with Teren." Mira replied while a bead of sweat could be seen sliding her cheek.

Meanwhile, Trisha was undisturbed by their arrival. Groups usually put pressure on an individual no matter the standing of the said individual. But Teren was sure that even if the whole Mershen High went against Trisha, she would just laugh it off.

"Should I tell them our relationship?"

Trisha asked Teren without lowering her voice.

"You can if you want."

He just sighed, not knowing what to do in this escalating situation.

"..."

However, thinking about it-

'Aren't I, a pet, lower than a friend?' Trisha forgot her standing.

'No, wait, but I'm closer to Teren, right? I mean, we had sex already. And, whenever I want to, we will do it again.' she tapped her foot, thinking that she should be winning, before encountering a question, 'Wait!'

She looked at the three girls.

"How far have you gone with them?"

Trisha looked at Teren, her smile disappeared.

"How far?"

Trisha was the only one who was thinking about sex right now. Meanwhile, Teren thought that she was talking about something else. He remembered about the time in the camping and whispered the answer to her.

"Well, you could say I did them pretty roughly."

"W-what?!"

Trisha felt the table was tilting. All sorts of scenes entered her head. Ever since she was fooled by the 'talisman' which she didn't regret, he had been researching about it and found the word she recently just learned.

'So they had a foursome!'

Her gaze became hostile. Her foot tapping became faster as she got irritated.

"Is she... getting angry at us?"

Eline nervously asked Mira to which the latter replied with a shrug of her shoulders. She doesn't know but this doesn't seem good.

Trisha massaged her forehead.

'This womanizer just kept giving me competitors...! After this, he'll have to visit an imp!'

She turned around and pulled Teren away to ask him something.

"What? Also, stop causing a scene." Teren said before getting questioned.

"So who did you do it rougher, me or them?"

That was the question that actually plagued her mind. Teren thought about the torture and there was only one answer.

"I don't think I've never been so rough on anyone as I've been on you." Teren said with a bit of guilt but Trisha didn't notice this and just become gleeful.

"Oh, hahaha, is that so?"

She can't stop giggling before returning to face Catherine and the others with her smile now a little bit smug.

'So the rest are just his side chicks, I guess Dehian is the only true competitor.'

Catherine looked at her with a frown, wondering what they just talked about. But before, Trisha could say anything, her arm was pulled by Teren.

"Didn't you hear me say to stop causing a scene?"

Seeing her smug expression, he had a feeling that she would escalate the situation more so he took a more forceful action.

"Ah... sorry." seeing Teren's serious face, Trisha's smile turned apologetic, "Fine, I'll stop. I mean, there's no fight in the first place."

She glanced at Catherine before calling out to Sean and Gomaro.

"Let's continue the match, idiots! Add three more people cuz I'm here!"

Trisha then walked around Catherine to smoothly kick the ball up before she caught it.

"Sorry, Catherine, that's just how Trisha really is."

"So she's Trisha, the new girl." Catherine muttered in a bad mood as she remembered the new number in Teren's contact list.

Before long, she turned around while Eline and Mira followed her, trying to cheer her up. Meanwhile, the glasses guy was already standing beside Sean.

"Are we taking this seriously, Sean?"

He asked which made Sean conflicted before he gave in.

"Fuck it! Come on, we're not going to lose!"

Sean called to Packboy and Sam as well.

"Stop crying!"

Sam pushed Pack out of the way before rejoining the court. This time, they'll use the whole court.

"Hm, now that I think about it, Trisha, you know how to play?"

Teren asked her.

"Eh? Of course not."

She smiled with confidence before saying, "But I'll learn."

"Alright, I don't know how to play too. Let's leave it to Nick for now and learn on the way." he replied which Trisha nodded.

"Yeah, tall guy, I mean, Nick. I saw your slam and it was cool! Give me the ball, I'll do it."

Nick glanced at Teren to which the latter nodded. Teren had full trust in this gifted being named Trisha Jane.

"Are these guys for real?"

Sean felt irritated after learning that two of their opponents don't know how to play. They even gathered the five of them against just three. Although Nick was like a pro, Vengeance, Sean's group, has been playing ball daily since they formed the group to hang out.

"Get the ball from her, Kim."

Sean looked at the glasses guy who's name is actually Kim. Kim just nodded in response.

While Catherine sat in a sour mood with her friends, Chihua got himself up after some dedication and watched from the inside.

"Who will toss the ball up?"

Sam asked. Since they will use the whole court, they should start the game with a jump ball.

"Chihua, come act as a referee."

Trisha called out to him.

"Yes, Boss."

Packboy, who was beaten up by Chihua back then, no longer felt anger but pity towards this man.

Chihua got the ball and got in the middle of Kim and Trisha. He then tossed the ball up which was followed by a jump by both players.

"H-huh?"

Kim was confident in his physical strength. He was usually quiet but he's quite proud of his toned body hidden behind the tracksuit he's always wearing. However, didn't the two of them jump at the same time? Then why is he looking at her feet instead of her face?

'This is the Public's Boss, alright!'

Sean frowned before Trisha naturally got the ball before it reach its peak. Landing onto the ground, Trisha dribbled the ball, surpassed Kim. Midway, she lost the ball from her hands but she took it and got better at handling it before surpassing Sean, Pack, and Sam in one succession. That's when they finally realized that Trisha was already heading for the ring to which the big guy, Gomaro went to block her. But she just jumped high, surpassing the giant while her skirt flutters. Packboy went to take a look but she was wearing shorts underneath, disappointing him, before she slammed the ball into the ring!

"Wooh! That was surprisingly easy!"

Trisha raised her hands in celebration.

Chihua, Nick, and the others looked at each other. Only Teren didn't know what's happening. It was only Sean who broke the silence.

"I know this is street basketball but there are still rules!"

"Huh? What do you mean?"

Trisha raised an eyebrow which Nick entered the conversation.

"Since she's my teammate, I'll tell her what rules she broke. Teren, you followed her movements, right? Listen as well."

"Alright, I'm listening." Teren awkwardly said. No matter how talented, if she doesn't know the rules then doesn't count.

Trisha went and the three formed a circle. Nick began explaining all the rules that should still apply to street basketball.

"Oh, I really did a lot of fouls, huh..."

Trisha just chuckled at this. Afterward, the game resumed. Now that Teren has seen firsthand what are the things you shouldn't do and what you should do, so he should be ready to enter the game.

"Trisha, let's not use our explosive strengths to them."

"Huh? Restraining ourselves will just raise the difficulty... actually, okay, I'm in! They are too weak, after all." Trisha then accepted after realizing it's a challenge.

"Alright, let's take this seriously and work together." Sean couldn't believe he's saying this but teamwork and experience are the things that they would be winning.
