CRASH!

Loud shattering sounds of porcelains echoed through the spacious hall of a mansion. The servants were trembling and crying while waiting outside the door, fearing that those porcelains would be thrown at them. Horrendous screams and shouts could be heard inside the room.

"You stupid bitch! Useless wench!" Duke Pier shouted in extreme danger as he yanked Helena's hair fiercely. His eyes were murderous as he hit his victim.

Another series of screams and cries were heard from the woman as she shielded her face from the brutal beatings. Damien and his cronies were immediately sent away from the mansion as soon as they arrived, leaving Helena in the hands of a sadistic duke.

He was fuming. He had planned the meeting between Helena and King Adis for so long but the bitch and the clergymen ruined everything. The plan was so simple; the chief priest would just introduce the oracle to the Royal Family and persuade King Adis to attend the Spring Festival, while Helena would just continue her innocent act by just standing there like a log until he'd arrive to help, and his 'fateful encounter' with the Queen would have happened. But the emotional woman had to ruin it by directly speaking to the King Adis and even taunting the position of Queen Haru.

Upon remembering their failure, he kicked the woman on her stomach twice. "You only have one simple job. It will not even require you to use that dull head of yours. I've been waiting for this for so long, yet you ruined my date and my plan. Freakin' s.l.u.t!"

Helena was lying motionlessly on the floor with bruises and cuts all over her body except her face. After all, she still needed to face the public with that beautiful face of hers tomorrow.

His rampage was interrupted by his loyal aide, Alfred. He knocked on the door and went inside the room. "Master, the people that you requested have arrived."

Duke Pier was panting heavily as he ran his fingers through his hair. His murderous aura had not dissipated yet. He barked his order like a deranged dog, "Bring them in."

Ten burly and scary-looking men came inside the room and stood up indifferently, waiting for him to state his orders. The men were all cold-blooded criminals from different realms. It took him an enormous amount of money and effort just to get them out of Gehenna in an unscrupulous way.

"Duke Pier, my name is Ulric. Thank you for helping us escape in our hellish prison cell. We heard that you have a very dangerous request. To repay you with your efforts, we can help you this one time." A red-haired man with scars all over his face and body spoke. The duke could tell that he was a half-demon from his dark aura.

He lighted a cigarette and spoke bluntly. "On the Spring Festival in two days, the Royal Family and the Great Elders will be in Central Plaza to greet the people and to witness the 'Declaration of the Oracle' ceremony. I need you to create chaos during the event. I have prepared some powerful explosions to support you on this task. I don't care if you kill the entire population in Lumine, but you must bring me the goddess of spring unscathed."

"You mean the Queen of Umbra?!" A male *satyr asked in disbelief. He had dark skin and deranged eyes. "You want us to face the three great Kings and risk our sorry asses to kidnap Queen Haru? If we get caught, going back to Gehenna is out of the question as the Demon King would definitely shred us into pieces. Hahaha, Duke Pier, you are one hell of an evil man!"

"If it's an easy feat, I don't need people like you to do it for me. I understand the severity of this request, hence, I prepared an enticing reward for each of you." He looked at Alfred and nodded.

The servant opened a huge c.h.e.s.t with countless precious stones, jewels, gold coins, and banknotes. But the most appealing to the villains is the small piece of paper that every convict like them would want to get at any cost -- the clearance of their sentence and citizenship restoration. That piece of paper would make them free realms again and roam throughout the realms without any shackles.

"I-I'll do it!" A human with unruly silver hair and wearing broken eyeglasses spoke meekly. He was an infamous scientist and a doctor. He was known for his demented experiments and the citizens of all realms called him, Doctor Frost. All living beings that went under his scalpel went rigid and cold. "At this point, dying is better than living in that hellhole for eternity. Please excuse me, but I need to get some fresh air." He answered coldly then hurriedly went out of the room.

Duke Pier nodded then looked at the rest of the men. "So, what about the rest of you? I don't have the entire night for this. You can either go back to Gehenna or accept my request."

The remaining nine sinners bobbed their heads to express their acceptance to the offer.

The Duke smiled menacingly, quite satisfied with their responses. "Very good. Now, I want you to meet someone." He pulled Helena's hair, earning another shriek from the battered woman. "She's the oracle that will be ordained in two days. She will also help you with your task during the spring festival. Since I know that living in Gehenna means you haven't tasted a woman for a long time, why don't you give her a try? A small entertainment for my new comrades wouldn't hurt, right?"

"No! Don't leave me here, please. I won't do it again I promise. I will behave from now on. Nooo!" Helena sobbed and struggled. After the harsh beatings, she didn't have any strength left in her body.

The hungry men just laughed maliciously when the Duke threw Helena on the lounge, totally ignoring her plea and walked out of the room coldly.

A disturbing shriek came after.

"Send a v.i.r.g.i.n inside my chamber," was Duke Pier's last command to Alfred before his bulky silhouette disappeared in the dark hall.

**************************************

A human female child was bawling her eyes out while she was slumped on the bloodied ground. She was loudly calling her mother's name while thick blood was gushing out on her head. The citizens were either running or crying while hugging the dead bodies of their loved ones. Behind the girl, a soldier was crawling on the pool of blood while desperately trying to return his internal organs back to his body through the huge gaping hole in his stomach.

The entire area was in total shambles; huge fires, dark smokes, and debris were all over the place.

Across the crying girl and behind a damaged wall, Haru was crouching on the ground. Her ears were ringing and buzzing from the loud explosions around the place.

'Explosions? But... why? What happened here? And... I need to save that child.'

Out of nowhere, a tall and lean man with unruly silver hair approached the little girl. He checked her wounds then carried her in his arms. The man turned around and their eyes met. Haru furrowed her brows when he saw that he opened his mouth to say something to her, but everything sounded muffled to her.

Haru narrowed her eyes and focused on reading his lips.

"Hide... they are coming... for you."

Haru suddenly jolted and woke up in a state of panic. She was panting heavily while shaking in fear.

"Haru?"

She snapped her head at her side and looked at her husband with her troubled eyes. "A-Adis," she breathed his name in relief.

"Careful," Adis whispered softly and massage her nape, worried that she got whiplash from her sudden movement. "Did you have a nightmare?"

"Nightmare?" She asked as she brushed her fingers through her hair in distress. So everything was just a bad dream? "I-I think so."

Adis kissed her temple tenderly before he stood up from their bed. He walked towards the side table, without a care of his full n.a.k.e.d glory, and poured water on the glass. He walked back to Haru and coaxed her to drink.

As Haru drank the water, he stroked her back gently and asked, "Want to talk about it?"

"I... don't remember much of it. But... there were loud explosions everywhere... a child... and a man. He was trying to say something to me... but it was muffled. I think he was saying... t-to hide because... someone's coming for... me." Haru was mumbling and talking in panic. Her eyes were unfocused. Her complexion was pale and she was.... crying?

Haru didn't realize that she was so frightened to the point of crying, hence, she got surprised when Adis wiped her tears gently.

"Shh, it's okay, I'm here. I won't let anyone hurt you." Adis whispered softly and hugged her tight, cajoling her to go back to sleep. "It's still early, go back to sleep, my love. Adis will stay here with you until you fall asleep again."

"Haru wants a hug," she sobbed like a child.

Adis smiled dotingly and went back inside the blanket. He guided her to lay on her side with her back facing him. They were spooning while Haru rested her head on his arm. He showered her face and hair with light kisses and whispered sweet nothings to her ears.

His soothing voice lulled her to a sweet slumber. "My Haru, my sweet Haru, there's nothing to fear. You are safe with me. I will chase all your fears away."

After a while, Haru's breathing became light and stable. Adis slowly pulled himself up from the bed, careful to not wake her up again. He immediately grabbed two huge soft pillows and gently placed it on her sides. He pulled the blanket up to her chin and kissed her forehead softly.

Adis freshened up and strictly instructed Haru's maids and guards to let their Queen wake up naturally and to eliminate anyone who would dare disturb her peace.

He walked towards Zen's royal office and as he suspected, Aquarius was also already there.

"Ah, big brother, good morning." Aquarius greeted cheerfully. "Did you sleep well last--"

"Tighten the security throughout the entire realm, especially the places where Haru will be staying, starting today until we leave for Atlantis." He sternly commanded to his two younger brothers. Then he added, "Open the gates to the underworld. I will order Graves to send my Grim Reapers here to protect Haru."

The two Kings suddenly stiffened and their expression became serious. Their big brother's words were alarming.

Zen was the first to react, "H-hold on big brother, what's the big deal?"

Adis heaved a heavy sigh before he dropped the bomb. "The power of seer that I sealed inside Haru's body had emerged. She had a vision again. Lumine will be in chaos."
