Queen Of Adis

Chapter 64 - I don't like her

Haru's eyes awkwardly roamed inside the white and gold bedchamber; from the ornate designs of the wall, the sensational chandelier on the ceiling, the furry carpet on the floor, to the variety of overflowing silk, cotton, and furs on the golden four-poster bed, everything spoke volume of its blatant display of luxury and elegant allure.

"Uhm... Adis, are we in a hotel? This room seems expensive." She leaned closer to her man's face and whispered. "Do we have money to pay for our stay?"

"No, we are not in a hotel," Adis' short reply as he took another spoonful of the soup to her mouth. "I told you not to worry about money, did I not? Here, finish your food now." He added as he coaxed her to eat some more.

She opened her mouth and obediently did what she was told. For a while, she just watched Adis take care of him like she was made of crystal. When she finally realized something, she suddenly stood up on the enormous bed and walked back and forth while her palm pressed against her head.

Adis' eyes flashed with worry at her sudden movement. "Haru, what's wrong? Come down first, my love, and we'll talk about it together."

Haru seemed to not hear his soft persuasion and muttered to herself. "At the orphanage, someone announced the arrival of the Kings... Vlad also mentioned the Demon King... Yggdrasil said something about a lone King..."

Her mind was assaulted with memories of Adis being in front of her before she lost consciousness and a scene of the crying demon while she was talking with the Tree of Life. She stopped in her tracks and looked at the man in front in a daze. With eyes bulging out, she finally exhaled, "Y-you're... the Demon King?"

The gorgeous man did not comment and just met her widened eyes. But his silence revealed the astonishing truth. "Oh, dear gods! The ruthless and evil Dark King is my boyfriend?!"

Adis furrowed his brows as he refuted her statement. "I am not your friend. I am your lover and you will be my future Queen consort."

"The f.u.c.k! Bloody hell!"

He grimaced with her unabashed way of pouring profanities. If the court officials and citizens discovered that their future Queen was brazen and unsophisticated, they would definitely cause an uproar.

But to a lovesick bastard like him, he wouldn't dare change anything about her. Even her curses sounded like an endearment to him. She was that perfect in his eyes.

He helplessly scratched his nose as he exclaimed with uncertainty in his eyes. "You promised that your feelings won't change once you find out more about me."

She knelt on the bed, right in front of him to aligned their height, and beat his c.h.e.s.t. "Who says about changing feelings? But goodness me, your secrets will give me a heart attack!" She grumbled, then shot him with an accusatory glare. "Hey, you idiot King, are you already married? How many concubines do you have? Am I just a plaything to you? You better be honest now or I will cut your d.i.c.k off--"

Adis stopped her whining with an intense kiss. He nibbled her soft and moist lips and he was rewarded with a delicious m.o.a.n from his grumpy maiden. His scorching tongue sought entrance to her mouth and delved deeper into her crevices. Their tongues began a frenzied battle that left them panting for more. L.e.w.d sounds of slurping and smooching lingered in the air as they lost in the moment of their passion.

He kissed her jaws and the side of her neck as he assured her in a raspy voice. "I never thought of marrying or having any concubines before," he started before assaulting her already swollen lips again. He continued with eyes fervently fixed on hers, "I admit that I have played with women in the past, too many to even count and care, but I never looked at them the way I look at you. When you came, I realized that you are everything my heart has been dreaming of. In this life, I will only marry once. You shall be my one and only woman, my lover and my sole Queen."

Haru felt exhilarated by his cheesy lines and showered his face with small kisses. "Fine. This modern lady won't cut your d.i.c.k off then. That will be a total waste."

Adis shook his head helplessly and nipped at her lower lip. "Cheeky brat!'

"I heard that our sleeping beauty has finally awakened after her two weeks of slumber," Zen charged at Aquarius when he saw him walking towards the bedchamber chosen by their brother for his mate. "Tch! Took her long enough. What a weakling mortal," he derided.

Aquarius ignored his biting remarks and calmly replied. "According to Fenghuang, it's a miracle that she even survived from being directly exposed to malevolent aura and miasma for a while. Normally, it would have melted the internal organs of a human body first before the skin falls apart. However, in her case, it was the other way around. Fortunately, the child calmed down before the miasma could even reach her organs." His eyes narrowed as he played with his fan. "She is a very interesting lady."

Zen scoffed. "That's bullshit! I think she's just another burden on big brother's already troubled shoulders. The gods must have gone mad for even giving our powerful brother a good-for-nothing mate. With her feeble body, how can she withstand the dangerous mana in the Dark Palace? I guess having a royal heir is also out of question now. Tsk! What a troublesome cheeky brat!"

Aquarius still showed no emotion on his face as he continued his light gait. "It is what it is. I'm sure there is a reason why she suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Big brother is a good judge of character and I trust his intuition. Besides, the gods don't give a damn about your opinion so keep it to yourself, or else big brother will cut your tongue off." He ended his statement with a gentle whack on Zen's head.

As though he could imagine losing his tongue, Zen immediately shut his mouth off. However, his mouth was created to prattle and he would die of suffocation if he kept quiet like his two brothers. He harrumphed, "I don't like her. I really don't like her. Hmph! Watch me ignore her once I meet her."

The King of Atlantis just gently shook his head and knocked on the door before entering the d.e.s.i.r.ed bedchamber.

"I'm sorry that we have to cut your hair short. Even though we're able to restore your skin and health, we're unable to do the same with your long curls." The couple was still busy cuddling on top of the bed when Adis worriedly reported about her hair while c.a.r.e.s.sing it.

Haru noticed it, too, when she stood up on the bed earlier, but his revelation was more shocking than her own hair. "It's okay. It would grow back soon. It just felt weird that my nape is now exposed but having short hair is better than having none, right?" She quipped to livened the mood. "Does it not look good on me?"

"You look younger and more lovely." Adis genuinely complimented. Then, he unknowingly pouted and furrowed his brows. "I look like a cradle snatcher."

She let out a crisp and hearty laugh. "Don't worry, I'll fix you up later. Though, I'm starting to like the feel of your stubbles against my skin."

Their bonding moment was interrupted by two knocks at the door. Haru tried to disengage from their embrace but Adis refused to let her go. Soon, light footsteps were approaching them and came in two extraordinary gentlemen.

"Big brother, I've heard your summon." A gentle-looking man with cerulean-colored hair, lean body, and graceful aura spoke. When their eyes met, he gave him a smile that would turn any maiden's eyes into hearts. Too bad, she's a sucker for a dangerous-looking kind of a man.

Adis effortlessly carried her in his arms like a princess and walked towards the newcomers. He carefully placed her down and introduced the two men. "My beloved, these are my brothers. The man with hair as blue as the deep ocean is Aquarius. He is the King of this realm. The brat behind him is--"

"Hello, beautiful maiden, my name is Zen," A flamboyant being chimed in. A man with golden hair, toothy grin, and a devil-may-cry attitude abruptly appeared from behind Aquarius. "I am so glad to finally meet you. I know this palace is boring but don't worry, I can always bring you to my palace in Lumine." He extended his hand and held Haru's hand to kiss the back of it.

Aquarius harshly slapped Zen's head with his fan. "What happened to 'watch me ignore her' nonsense you were spouting?"

Zen held the back of his head with an aggrieved face. "That's slander, big brother Aquarius! How could you disgrace me in front of our sister-in-law? How can anyone resist her charm and her doe eyes? That is simply unacceptable! More importantly, why are you being violent, lately?"

When Aquarius was about to hit him again, he stopped his hand and coaxed him. "Fine. Fine. It's my bad. Stop being so bitter, you will scare sister-in-law away."

Haru wrinkled her nose and was about to correct them about their claim of her being their sister-in-law, however, strong arms that wrapped around her slender waist stopped her from doing so.

Adis whispered against her head. "Please don't mind their antics. They are stupid most of the time, but they are capable and reliable. I trust them with my life and they will also take care of you, too."

She giggled in amus.e.m.e.nt. "I think they're cute." Then, her eyes shone brightly like precious gemstones. "You are so much like the plushies of Zeus and Poseidon that I brought to the kids at the orphanage in my previous life. Oh, I know! From now on, I will call you Zenzen and Popo. Mn, I think it's way better." She clapped her hands at her brilliant idea. Then, she slightly bowed down in front of the two Kings. "Zenzen, Popo, please take care of me, from now on."

Zen pointed at his own face while his mouth gaped open. "Waah! Sister-in-law, please don't do that. It doesn't suit this handsome King."

Aquarius, on the other hand, fan himself gently and while nodding his head. "Mn, I think it's cute. I like it."

Haru smiled with her eyes as she made another clap. "Very well! I'm glad to see all the three Kings of this world. At least it would be much easier for me to get some information about the problem at hand." She turned around and looked at her devil. "Adis, I would like to see the world map of Trium Regum."

Adis furrowed his brows and tilted his head. "Why?"

"I have heard the god's decree," she began as she looked outside the window. With a determined expression, she solemnly declared. "It's now time to put an end to this winter wonderland."
