Raising Young Hunters In Another World

The ominous feeling coming from the meteor was something I had never felt before.

From my intuition and feeling I can tell that if we did not make it to the comet and get behind it for cover in time we would die.

As the meteor was slowly coming down I could feel the heat on my back. It wasn't your ordinary heat it was a scorching enough that I could fill it all across the area and was going to kill us.

As I was flying away from the meteor landing site to the comet I can feel the admiral's eyes on my back trying to get a look at my wings.

"Don't ask right now I'll tell you when we are safe."

I look back and notice the meteor is about 5 seconds from hitting the ground.

Panic ensues.

Come on make it, I can do it.

It is just right in front of me. The comet I just have to reach the comet, it is not that far from me now I can do it.

"Hey hurry up can you go faster than this if not we might die." The admiral was yelling at me with his own way of trying to encourage me.

"I can try but no promises."

"I DON'T CARE JUST HURRY UP!"

I can hear the panic in the admiral's voice but that is understandable in this life or death situation.

I'm right in front of the comet just right there all I need to do is get behind it when the meteor hits the ground and explode.

"Shit." As I feel the heat I bring the admiral into my arms to protect his body.

"AHHHHH" That burns that burns.

When the heat hit I was able to barely get us behind the comet but my body is already burned to the point that I was barely able to stay alive.

My consciousness is going in and out I can tell what is going on around me and how badly I'm injured. I need to be healed right now or I would face a chance with death, so now I need to hold on if I want to live another day.

I see the admiral panicking trying to rip his clothes and cover my burnt body with them.

"Hey hold on I will get you back to base just stay with me."

"I'm..... Trying." Its not easy staying awake with all this pain. I have not been in this much pain in years, the last time was when I almost died soloing an elder dragon. That Kushala almost killed me but hey the abilities I got from eating the whole Kushala were worth it.

"Hey.... admiral.... if the behemoth is dead take me next to it, and... if not rush me back to base."

"What do you need to be near the dead monster for."

"You're curious about the wings right, well the just take me near the behemoth."

"Yeah I guess I can do that."

I can feel the heat drifting off into the atmosphere, so I guess the fight is done cause I also don't hear anything about it.
