The bedroom was empty. Besides, the fireplace had been left unlit, so it felt chilly even with the temperature control magic working.

I couldn’t deny it. It seemed like a lot of time had passed since I disappeared. I hurriedly changed my clothes.

Then, I went down to the hall on the first floor, and on the way I found three cats huddled together in the corner of the stairs.
