So… Yeah. I've heard everything, up until her ragged and slightly e.r.o.t.i.c gasping.

No. I didn't say that. I'm not saying that about the girl who looked e.r.o.t.i.c while her cheeks are blushing yet pale, sweat trickling down her neck, and her eyes teary. I also didn't think that her t.h.i.g.hs felt really nice or something. I definitely, absolutely, certainly did not thought of it as e.r.o.t.i.c.

And so right now, she's resting and is asleep.

How can she sleep so peacefully while sitting on this needlessly large throne? Moreover, right after that agonizingly painful look.

I wanted to help her alleviate the pain, but what can a Poltergeist do? I don't have any skills that can help her.

It was a bit hard for me to pretend to be asleep, but it's too risky for me to incur the wrath of the Grand Slime, who has now strangely become small. It's now just a bit smaller than an average human head.

Well, it's much better to look at with this appearance.

I checked its status to be sure, and yeah. It was the same Grand Slime who almost killed me earlier.

That really got me, to be honest. I was really scared that time. Not to mention, the pain and other disturbing sensations running around my body was… *shiver* I was too preoccupied with escaping and forgot to even check before moving.

After checking its status, I've learned how it prevented my escape. It was because of the skill Intimidating Glare.

[Intimidating Glare: Prevents target's any kind of escape within a radius of 100 meters and renders any transport skills useless. In the case the target tries to escape, it will receive damage per second, equal to a fourth of the user's Physical Attack.]

If I tried to escape that time… In just four seconds, I'll be dead.

There really was no escape from me then, I guess.

Anyways, it looks like I survived, at least.

That's good.

I checked my Resurrect skill and I still have remaining 4 times to use it. That means, it wasn't used when I lost my consciousness. I didn't die.

Phew…

But I got mixed feelings though. It's like I feel relieved, yet disappointed. I wanted to learn what will happen if I resurrect. Will I lose all my skills? Will I retain my level? Will I revert back to being a Wandering Soul?

Without knowing those yet, I'm still not into Resurrecting at the time being. So I'm more on the relieved side.

Anyways. While the slime is gone, I'll check my status for now.

Even though I can't use magic and there's no way I will have to rely on my Magic Attack status (Because again, I can't use any magic.), there will always be a case where I will be attacked using a Magic skill. I have my Reflect skill, but there may be another possibility that I will take damage magically, just like what happened with that Grand Slime.

My own ignorance led me to that. I have to face it and be more careful from now on. I won't rely on my usual skills anymore. I'll get stronger, that even without them, I still won't lose.

Anyways, going back to my status. I noticed that my C.Cognizance raised to 12% from 10%. But my C.Manipulation is still the same.

Hmm… I wonder what's wrong with this. If I had to conclude, I can only guess that my C.Cognizance rose after my exposure in Magic attacks. That's the only thing that I can think of and remember. I don't remember doing anything special either, so that must be it.

Then… If that's the case, C.Cognizance is not correlated with C.Manipulation.

Aaahh… That only makes it harder for me to come up with a way to raise it… *sigh*

I guess I acquired this skill after receiving the 'Curse' skill used by that Grand Slime.

I learned that whenever I gain a resistance skill, it was because I receive the same attack within a prolonged period of time. But in this case, I got it after only a short period of time, and it leveled up to level 2 to boot.

That's just how powerful the Grand Slime was in terms of Curse.

Hmm… I guess, numbers is not everything in this world.
