Ohhh… So this is what the interior looks like… Awesome.

Upon entering the wide entrance, we were greeted by a wide space, with each walls covered with Glow Stones from here and there. In this case, even without using my Glow skill, there won't be any problem with our vision.

It's actually bright… Even without my Night Vision, it's still bright… It's as if the ceiling is a portrayal of the dancing starry night, each star blinks, creating a perfect illumination that can be on par with the lights on a Christmas day.

It feels nostalgic, to be honest…

Ahh… It's like I'm seeing the night sky for the first time after arriving here in this world. I'm quite moved. I don't want to tarnish this great beauty so I will refrain from storing Glow Stones for now. I've stored more than enough outside, anyways.

I can even hear her gulp every now and then. I wasn't even actually listening, but it was loud enough for me to hear. I even thought that she's thirsty or something and offered her water to drink…

By the way, we actually went to a fresh water pond to procure water during our travel. Perhaps because I couldn't see at the time, I missed it. It was located at the Main Forest where I was reincarnated.

Anyways, I know her actions are suspicious but I don't feel any ill will coming from her through the Link. If anything, I feel a weird emotion, which I can't somehow pinpoint what exactly it is. It feels familiar, but… I don't know what it is. Rather, it's more of a tingling sensation than an emotion, however.

Or not. Now's not the time to be curious. I'm getting a bit worried.

If it's an after effect of the Resurrection skill, then we have to do something about it sooner or else, we won't know what could happen if we were too late.

Thinking that, I asked her about it, but she only denied my conjecture and told me that she's fine.

First, I think it's not about picking flowers or something. Whenever she had to do her business, she would just tell Purin and then we'll go for a commercial break. So I think it's not for a natural business.

While I was pondering about what to do about Fleur's unknown condition, Purin stopped in her tracks. And because of my Detect skill, I know why.

It's a monster. Its huge shadow appeared loftily from the dark.

And it's not just some monster, it's seems quite strong. Even without my Analyze, I can already feel it in the air. Even Fleur froze on her track upon the entrance of the monster. I think even Purin will have a hard time with this one. I guess we'll have to work together to fend it off.

On the side note though, I'm more interested in its status. That's why, I stopped Purin before she had almost launched her attack.

Purin: "Thou move away. It is not an opponent that thou may win against."

[Hm? What do we have here? Purin is worried about me?]

Purin: "We do not have time for jest. Take Milady and escape. Purin will buy time."

It's weird… I've never seen Purin act this way… Not to mention, she's releasing insane amounts of bloodl.u.s.t. It's not directed at me, but I can feel its intensity and the air is even trembling. Taking a short glance at Fleur, even she's wearing a grim expression.

Dude… Another absurdly powerful monster? What the heck is wrong with my luck…?

*sigh*

Purin: "Purin was planning to pass through here without encountering this thing, but… It seems like that is now impossible, given how it can perceive everything in this forest. Purin was naïve…"

Hoh… Even Purin is trying to avoid this guy.

Well, I understand how Purin is being this much cautious against such an opponent. This is the other monster that she said which she could not handle. That shadow thingy she mentioned before.

She never mentioned it was a remains of an Evil God, though. Damn.

But I wonder why there's not much skills in it? I can only guess, but… Maybe because it's only a remnant and it's no longer the original?

Also, using its status, other monsters' status, Fleur and Purin's status, and of course, my status as a basis, I now got a full view of this world's status system's limits.

For the HG and CG, it's 10,000 points. Compared to mine, it's really high. But considering the damage a monster or a person can do, it's understandable.

For the rest of the status, its 1,000, with the exception of its Physical Attack. But that is because of one of its skills.

I know there's a chance that a good coincidence just made this numbers possible. But thinking about how this guy is the Evil God, which is, of course, a God that must be powerful beyond reason, I can make a conjecture that this is at its strongest.

The shadow before us has moved. With a flash of a movement, it swings its huge claw towards us.

I used my Psychokinesis Barrier to deflect the attack. To be sure, I erected 5 times fold.

Hmm… This skill really works wonders. That attack right now should have shattered the ground and created a huge crater, but the Barrier deflected the attack safely. Well, the attack shattered two of them, but still.

I think I can rely on this skill a bit more.

Purin: "What nonsense art thou spouting?! Thou cannot stand against such an atrocity!"

It used its wings to fly away from our place. The monster landed at a distance, not forgetting its fighting stance. It knows what its opponent can do.

From its appearance alone, I can only say that it looks like a black phoenix.

I tried to move towards it but I was stopped in my tracks as a gale passed through me. Intangible is activated so it didn't damage me, but the ground beneath me was sliced. It's as if a knife was used to cut the ground like a butter.

We can't do anything stupid. It's just us and this Phoenix. Well, it's an Evil God made to destroy. It'll be stranger if it just let us go without any dispute.

[I'll do my fair share of work. I mean, I can't just make you do everything, right?]

I was talking about how she hunted and prepared everything for us. From food and shelter, she was the one who did them, after all.

Purin: "Nonesense! Thou cannot fight such an adversary, I tell you!"

Fleur: "… Purin. Let us believe in him."

O-Ohh… I guess I'm really registered as 'trash' in her mind. Even in this situation, she still went with that naming.

Looking at Fleur, I can still see her shoulders and hands trembling. She's scared. But even so, she still tries to flash a reassuring smile, as if she's telling me that she's fine.

And... I know what she meant by it.

She doesn't want to be a burden to any one of us. Even to Purin. She doesn't want to be a reason why someone will have to be hurt.

If Purin says that she would act as a bait to let us escape safely, then there's no doubt that she would choose to stay than escape. That's just how Purin is important to her, after all. And that's just how she doesn't want to be someone who will cause anyone to get hurt.

Baseless or not, I want to believe in Fleur who believes in me who believes in her. Yep.

Well, she can see the intention and emotions in my soul, anyways. She must have realized what I'm about to do is something only I can. And she's right.

It's just… It'll be the worst if our travel ended sooner even before we got out of this place, after all.

Purin hates me, but it's not like I hate her. I want to try preserving this party as much as I can. I don't want to escape without her.

Hence, escape is not an option for me now. If for worse, I'll just use Teleport to escape.

But as long as we don't pass through this guy, then we won't be going anywhere soon.

I used Psychokinesis to create a barrier on both of them. With this, any form of physical attacks will be blocked without any problems. It looks like it doesn't have any magical attacks to be wary of so, this will do. I hope.

I'll have to look out for other surprises, I guess.

Also, I still have to be careful with that Destruction skill. I think that's the one it used to destroy the barriers.

Anyways, there's only one thing to do.
