In front of me, a woman is standing with her curled hands tightly pressed on her c.h.e.s.t. She wears a white gown, as if to endlessly flow below her feet.

Her expression… She's crying.

["We need not heed their words…! I just… I just want to be with you…!"]

This voice…

Who is she? Why am I seeing this? I try to reach out for her cheeks. I want to wipe away those trickling crystals…

Yet… I can't.

["I cannot fathom… I do not…"]

… Don't cry. I don't want to see you cry…

["Then why are you leaving?!"]

… Why, I wonder.

["… Leave… Just leave!!"]

… This is for the best.

The moment I mysteriously thought of those words that are simply out of my character, the world went black. In a swirling surge of emotions, I was pulled out by something from that whirlpool.

Fleur: "-iel…!"

Another voice? Kuh… My head hurts… Right, I don't have a head. Wait, that joke's all too used up.

Fleur: "-el…! Ciel!!"

This voice… Fleur?

… Oh right!!

The Evil God!

[What happened to the Evil God?]

I activated all the necessary skills and erected a sheet of Barrier to cover me and Fleur. And now, everything is now in sight.

However, I don't see any dragon like thingy, or even the aftermath of the fight. The Glow Stones are shining ever so brightly, like what happened was just a dream.

Hold on… Don't tell me, fighting the Evil God was just a dream?

Fleur: "Phew… Thank goodness, you are awake."

Looking around the place, my gaze eventually met Fleur's. She's wearing a relieved expression, while looking down on me.

Ahh. I'm now on her l.a.p, huh?

[Fleur… And, Purin?]

Fleur: "Yes. Purin is currently recuperating her health, but aside from that, we are fine."

Hm… I'm still good to go I guess. No more pain. Aside from this groggy condition, I'm fine. I didn't die or anything. The resurrection times remains the same. My CG is normal…

Wait, what the. This is…

Opening my status, I found something unusual.

… I have to check this out later.

[And what about the Evil God?]

Fleur: "Soul has defeated it. I was right to believe in you. Fufu~"

I shortly checked the notifications and saw the experience points I gained from the battle.

I see, I defeated it.

[I see. Well, I can't just let a cute girl be disappointed in me, now can I?]

Fleur: "However… To be honest, I was almost on the verge of giving up. Seeing you push yourself that much… I… I do not want you to repeat the same stunt, ever again. Okay?"

[Urk… Got it.]

I myself realize that what I did there was pushing beyond my limits. Even the slightest consumption of that Evil God's soul made me want to scream out in pain.

But obviously, I no longer had the composure to think about myself back then. I had to protect these two.

Fleur then placed her hand over my body and pat me. Going from a relieved expression, to worried, angry, then to a now crestfallen face, Fleur suddenly stopped her hand.

Fleur: "I truly… felt useless all throughout the ordeal…"

Hmhm. Now I see.

Whatever the event is, if you see yourself not being able to produce something for the result, anyone would definitely feel that way. But more so for Fleur.

Because of her past.

[That's not true at all, you know?]

Fleur: "Eh…? But… I did not do anything at all."

[Certainly, you didn't fight.]

Fleur: "…"

Hearing her words, Fleur bit her lower lip in bitterness.

[But you did more than enough. You don't know just how you being there helped me out.]

I'm walking about how she convinced Purin to believe in me, how she guided Purin, and most importantly…

How her emotion every time I was about to pass out brings me back.

If not for her, I'd just run away and forget about that Level 1 bird. I love interesting things and I would go for it if it would make my story interesting, but now I know my limits. I'm not some suicidal bastard who jumps at anything that spells out fun.

I make sure to have something up my sleeve whenever.

But…

It was different when I met Fleur.

[I'd rather not fight that Evil God, but…]

I shifted my body to move as if I'm facing Fleur. Seeing that, she expectantly waited for my words with her brows contorted to the middle.

[If I don't fight, I won't be able to help Fleur. If I don't fight, Fleur will get hurt. If I don't fight, then… Fleur will cry. Each of those thoughts pushed me. I didn't want to lose because of you.]

Fleur: "Ciel…"

Her eyes glossed, as if the Glow Stones wanted to portray their beauty, and is now being filled with tears.

[Sure, you can't fight. But we can just do something about that from here on out. Moreover, you actually did help me more than enough. See?]

Fleur: "… Mhm."

Tears falling down her cheeks, she nodded with a smile on her lips. She wiped them off with one hand and looked at me once more.

And…

Fleur: "Thank you, Ciel. Truly, I thank you."

Right, right. This is what I wanted to see. Her smile. It definitely was worth risking myself out there to see this. It makes me think that I will want to do everything for her smile alone.

Pledge to protect her smile, you peasants!

Ahh… At any rate, Fleur's t.h.i.g.hs are such a wonderful existence. The elasticity when I try put all my weight in… Ah, I have my Intangible deactivated, so I get to enjoy this marvelous t.h.i.g.hs.

Not to mention, this thickness! The warmth! This silky smoothness!! Have I mentioned thicc already?!

Cheating… This is cheating, you hear me people! Realizing this perfection will make my body incapable of being satisfied by ordinary t.h.i.g.hs!!

I've once felt them before when she saved me, but… To think that there would come a time where I can feel them again!

I floated upwards to check for our surroundings once more.

It's a great… No. An incredible… No. It's an unconceivable shame to part with Fleur's t.h.i.g.hs, but I can't stay like that forever. I must be vigilant at all times. I can't deny the possibility of another powerful monster like that level 1 Evil God.

But damn, I really feel like I was cheated by that level 1 thingy.

Purin is resting with her eyes open. I think she's sleeping, but I guess that's her way to watch for monsters that may harm her master. That's really convenient.

Aside from that, just like what I've noticed earlier, the place is back to normal. It's as if the battle between us and the Evil God was just a dream. The debris that fell from the ceiling, the shattered Glow Stones, everything is now back to normal.

[Hmm…]

Fleur: "If you are wondering why the place is clean, then it is all thanks to Purin. 'We cannot let the place be left in ruins, purin.' Or so she said as she fixed it. Fufu~"

[Ohh.]

That Purin, she really can do anything, huh? And she's back to her 'purin' business. Well, that's for the best, I guess. That just means that she's all fine now.

But fl.u.s.tered Purin is also fun to look at, for real. I want to see more of that.

Purin: "Hmph. It seems like the trash has awaken."

[Hey. That's my line.]

With a gentle bounce, Purin jumped towards the precious l.a.p of her master. I'm not envious of that. Really.

Purin: "This should have been Purin's special place, purin… Thou trash. Milady insisted to make thee rest here instead of Purin… That is why, Purin could not say anything, purin… However, that does not mean Purin hath forgiven thee for tainting Milady's lovable l.a.p, purin. Thou had a perverted look on thine face earlier, purin. Thou should have hath been eaten by that cursed bird, purin. Hmph."

O-Ohh… I feel like her hatred has reached a whole new level.

[Well, I won't deny that her t.h.i.g.hs are marvelous.]

I nod as I say so.

Purin: "Tch. Purin hates to agree, but thou art right."

Then Purin followed through.

Fleur: "Purin?!"

Purin: "Purin cannot have enough of it."

Fleur: "Seriously, both of you~~!! That is enough…!!"

Haha. I guess I teased her too much.

[Purin, Fleur, I have a favor to ask.]

Fleur: "Sure."

That's quick! And where did the embarrassed Fleur go?

[Aren't you deciding too fast, Ms. Fleur?]

Fleur: "Fufu. I'm fine with anything Ciel decides. I believe you will not do anything that may bring harm to us. Ciel can do anything you want. I… I know that I will have the time of my life as long as Ciel is with me. Your words made me feel so."

She placed her hands on her c.h.e.s.t, as if to reminisce about something inside her mind.

Purin: "Milady!! What about Purin?!"

Fleur: "Of course. Purin is included as well. Fufu."

Purin: "Milady…!"

Uu… She's too good for this world…! She's too pure…! So lovely and kind! She's wasted on someone like me!

Wait… What did she just say…? I did not mishear that right…?

[Anyways. Ahem. What I was saying is, can we have a short break right now? I know we have to get out of this place as soon as possible, but there's something I must do at the moment.]

Purin: "If that is the case, then go do it, purin. Purin will look after Milady, purin."

Oh, that went pretty easy with Purin.

Fleur: "Will you have to go away?"

[Ah, no. I'm fine doing it anywhere. Let's just find a place that we can rest for a while.]

And so, we searched for a suitable spot to rest. Walking around for a few minutes, our eyes wandering around in an attempt to find a good one. Not a few more minutes then, we found a small caving in rock formation. It's dry and there're no dangerous monsters in sight and in the Detect skill. The Glow Stones are doing their best, so we won't need any light as well.

Yeah. Perfect.

Purin transformed herself into a huge cushion-like ball chair and had Fleur rest on her. I feel like a smug expression was flashed shortly at me, but I don't feel like retorting at the moment. I'll let her have her fun while being a chair for her master.

Fleur: "Ciel?"

My Status Display screen has now become much larger and longer. Well, some of it are useless though. Like *cough* Active *cough* Magic Skills *cough* or something.

What a joke for an aspiring mage. Dang it.

Anyways. What caught my attention earlier is this.

[Evil God: A Title given to the God of the Eifilrah, the Lord of the Souls.]

Hmm… Particularly, it doesn't give any additional status points or skills. It's just a title given to a God of the Eifilrah.

Hmhm… Analyze.

[God of the Eifilrah: The entity that governs the soul of the dead.]

Wait, that's it? No more explanation? Something like what does it do or where does it come from?

Hmph. I'm disappointed in you Sir Analyze.

Oh well. Not like I'm dying to know. I'm just curious to what kind of being is this God of the Eifilrah. At least, I've learned that it's someone governing the soul of the dead. And now, I became something like that.

… Even if you say that I've become one. It's still not like I know what should be done.

Anyways, it's just a Title.

But, man. Next to being a Demon Lord, I'm now an Evil God? How much does this world wants me to be dark? Am I being too edgy? Will the next Title be like Edge Lord or something? Will I become a dual wielding black swordsman someday? Or a skeleton/elder leech magic caster that reigns over some guardians?

Going back to my status, it seems like I've successfully acquired the skills of that Evil God. Mufufu. I'm happy that I got all of them, but personally, I only wanted to have that Evil God's Penance skill since it's so overpowered.

But then again, Magical Perception turned out to be an awesome skill to have. It's like I got a camera all around the place. Even outside the cave. I can even see myself like in third person POV games. Mufufu. This is cool. I can see everything clearly. Well, not that that clearly. Maybe, that's because of my C.Cognizance.

Another worthy of notice is the Title God Slayer.

Until now, I've been slaying monsters. And from what I've heard from Purin and Fleur, there seems to be certain Types for these monsters. Most of what I encountered in this place are Apparition Types, hence my Title Apparition Slayer. These monsters closely resembles ghosts or spirits.

Another are the Beast Types. These are monsters that resemble animals. I also slayed a fair amount of them so I got the Title Beast Slayer that gives additional 1 point for my Physical Attack every level.

There's also Entract Types, which are simply insect type monsters. I've only encountered a few of them so I haven't gotten the Title for it.

And lastly, I got the God Slayer Title by slaying the Evil God.

It made me think how slaying one God gave me the title. But I think it's not the number of monster slayed alone that gives the title, but the number of monster slayed according to its rarity.

I mean, it's a god we're talking about. Of course there won't be a lot of them roaming the world.

[God Slayer: A Title given to those who have slain a god. Grants additional +2 points to Physical Attack. Granted Skills: Divine Soul.]

This. I even got a skill from it.

And that skill is…

[Divine Soul: Utilize the power attained from consuming the soul of gods. When activated, it grants additional points to all status. Granted points is equal to the 50% of their value.]

… Ohh…

Another overpowered skill…!!

Mufu… Mufufufufu~! I mean, look! It raises all my status to half of their value! Let's say, for example… Right now, I have a 688 Magical Attack. If I used this, I'll have…

Uhh…

1032! 1032 for my Magical Attack! That's already passed the (probable) maximum value for the status! Man… Oh man… This is awesome. What a great find…!

Okay. Calm down, me… *inhale*

Phew… I'm really getting excited…

A-At any rate… Let's be grateful for these. Yeah.

Aside from those, I've got new skills. I acquired most of them from monsters outside the mountain range. Most of them, however, are skills that are unique to their species. It's not like I can't use them, but I haven't tried using some of them.

There's Thread Control and Silk Thread Production from a worm like monster.

Paralyzing Skin from a frog-like monster.

Stealth from a… Uhh… I forgot about that monster. I just remember that it's hard to detect using the five senses. I just used my Detect skill and used Soul Consume to kill it.

There's also Death Glare, Steel Hide, and Enchanted Hide from what looks like a mix of a dog and a lion kind of monster.

Anyways.

I'd better learn to use them. They may come in handy whenever the need arises.

Now, lastly. The moment I've been waiting for. One of the most exciting part of being a monster.

THE EVOLUTION!
