Rebirth: A Woman With Frozen Heart

"What are you doing here..?" Ming Yue asked with icy tone. "..Long Zhi Qiang..."

She called out his name with more coldness and Zhi Qiang noticed it.

Long Zhi Qiang murmured gently to her ear, "..I have come to pick you up, My Yue." he answered, didn't mind her coldness.

In fact he didn't mind it one bit. Whatever Ming Yue wanted to do to him, Zhi Qiang would accept it gladly. He knew it would be painful and torturous, but Zhi Qiang would gladly take it.

'Pick me up..?'

'His Yue..?'

'What the hell is this man playing right now..?'

Ming Yue was in a state of confusion. She didn't understand why Zhi Qiang came to her school so boldly like this. Her eyes were dilated, moving to the left and right and seemed unfocused. Ming Ran, Yu Wang and Mu Chen saw that state Ming Yue, they became worried. Yet, they didn't know Ming Yue was battling against voices in her head right at this moment.

'He said he came to pick you up.. aren't you happy now..?'

(No... I am not..)

'Why? isn't he the love of your life?'

(No.. not anymore..)

'Are you sure? Didn't you love him so much that you take curse to yourself?'

(No.. not a chance.. I won't sacrifice my life for him anymore..)

'You will.. why? because deep down you have always loved him..'

(Love..?)

*Wusuussh!!!*

A huge aura suddenly burst out of Ming Yue's body, making the classroom messy as the gusts of wind suddenly came. The students were shocked, covering themselves by holding their heads to defend against the wind. Even Long Zhi Qiang was pushed away slightly by her energy. Seeing such state of Ming Yue, there was a voice in his heart, telling him to go to her and embrace her. Thus Long Zhi Qiang went ahead and pulled Ming Yue into his embrace.

Inside Tianshang De Kongjian, all four beasts perked their heads and fastly moved to the Moon Lake where Ming Yue's state could be seen there. The three male beast saw how Ming Yue was pulled into Zhi Qiang's embrace, their eyes filled with cold rage.

"Master! She is losing control of her power!" Bai Hu growled. "We should calm her somehow!"

Zhu Que frowned for a while then turned her gaze to Qing Long. "Qing Long, connect your mind to Master and play your flute!" She ordered Qing Long. "Only your flute can calm her current state!"

Qing Long nodded as he took his flute from his own spatial storage and started to play melody. The melody he used to play for Chang'e whenever she was bored or drinking wine. It was called, 'Half Moon'.

Ming Yue heard the melody in her mind and somehow, she felt nostalgic hearing that melody. Why? Why did it feel so familiar and nostalgic?

"Master.. calm your energy." Qing Long's gentle and cool voice echoed in her mind. "Don't be afraid, you have this Qing Long by your side."

Yes.. she had him..

"Remember Master, 'We shall live freely together for eternity. Be it when the moon dies or when the moon shines bright'.."

Suddenly a glimpse of scene appeared in her mind, it as if there was an old movie scene played in her mind.

Chang'e was standing next to Qing Long, she was grinning from ear to ear as she lifted the wine jar toward Qing Long.

"It's so boring spending time alone in your palace, Qing Long! I, Chang'e shall be with you!"

Qing Long chuckled, "What mischief are you planning to do now?" He asked gently, his eyes filled with adoration as he stared at the beautiful goddess in doting manner.

"Explore the world! Let's spend time together with the others!"

Qing Long laughed hard, his smile was so bright. It was a rare thing to have him laughed so hard like that but Chang'e loved it. "Okay, My Lady. This Qing Long shall be with you."

"Then let's make a vow!" Chang'e said and stared at the bright full moon on the night sky. "We shall live freely together for eternity! Be it when the moon dies or when the moon shines bright!" with that, Chang'e put the jar to her lips and took a full gulp before making a satisfied sigh.

Qing Long, with his bright smile still plastered on his cold handsome face, lifted his own wine jar and made a vow to the moon. "Good! We shall live freely together for eternity, Be it when the moon dies or when the moon shines bright." Qing Long said and added more "This Qing Long will stay by your side forever.." and when he said that, his eyes gazed upon the side of Chang'e's beautiful face softly before he moved the wine jar to his lips and took one gulp of sacred wine.

That was the vow both master and her guardian made to each other..

They sincerely and purely wanted to spend time together, living freely for eternity..

The beautiful vow under the full moon..

Ming Yue shed tears as she finally calmed down. The energy around her started to dissipate. Her heart ached after seeing that scene in her mind. Qing Long must have been missing Chang'e alot. He missed Chang'e so much that he said those words to calm her down.

'But why do I feel those words nostalgic?'

Just like a drop of water fell into lotus pond and made ripples of water, Qing Long's words would send great effect to Ming Yue's soul. It hastened the wheel of fate that was already moving.

Meanwhile at another place in Q City..

A little girl stared at the sky as she sat on one the bench in a certain park. A sad smile appeared on her face, "The vow you made with Qing Long.. finally you remember it.." She murmured the words under her breath.

"There are still many memories, Chang'e.. You have to remember them all, for you to take revenge on that goddess.."

"I wonder.. How long will take.." The girl's head looked down and saw her own opened hands, "For you to remember it all.."

"Maybe after that, I will disappear as well.." she smiled bitterly.
