Rebirth: A Woman With Frozen Heart

After breakfast, Ming Yue changed her clothes. The weather was warm since it was May, so Ming Yue changed to white blouse, firm V neck with blue colored bunny picture on the middle of the blouse and light blue jeans that reached to her knees. Ming Yue looked at herself in the mirror before nodding in satisfaction. She didn't do much with her black hair, just combed it and split it at the middle.

Ming Yue was not the type to like skirt. In her past life, skirt meant danger. Her adopted father would find a way to molest her when she wore a skirt and because of it, Ming Yue always wore pants that reached to her knees or trousers. She never wore shorts.

After finished grooming herself in the simplest way, Ming Yue came down and saw that everyone was waiting near the front door. By everyone meant, Fan Mei, Lin Zhao and Ling Mao. Zhu Que didn't come because she had something to discuss with the other beasts. Of course when Ming Yue asked, Zhu Que only said that it was a secret. Clearly it made her curious. As for Lin Shao, knowing that it was girlish activity, he declined and said that he better spent time in Heavenly Space. So Ming Yue sent him there.

"Are you ready? Let's go now." Fan Mei said with a warm smile and they left the house together.

Along the way, Ming Yue was once again explained by Fan Mei the 'details' about her welcoming party. This time Ming Yue decided to pay attention to it so she didn't upset her mother. It was the least she could do for her, knowing that she put all her mind to Ming Yue's party. However.. the more Ming Yue heard about the details, the more she became dumbfounded. The plan only consisted of Shopping and spa.

First they would go to a famous designer boutique, choosing some dresses for Ming Yue. Next, they would go to the mall, shopping for jewelries, make up, shoes and more stuff like that. After that they would go to famous salon for spa or something similar to that. After that, THE END.

'This is going to be loooong day..' Ming Yue mused inwardly, resigned to her fate.

Yang Lixin who was driving the car, glanced at Ming Yue from time to time. He paid attention to her expression and reaction and had to hold back the smile that was about to emerge on his face. Looked like his young miss wasn't the type who liked spending time and money like other common girls.

The car stopped in front of a big boutique called 'Fiore Lian'. Ming Yue knew this boutique very well in the past. She heard that the owner was a young woman who was genius in fashion design that she got acknowledgement from FRC country which famous for their fashion style.

"We're here~" Fan Mei said as soon as they got of the car, "Let's go in."

The group followed behind Fan Mei as they entered the boutique. A lady greeted them as soon as they entered, judging from the uniform, Ming Yue assumed it was one of the employees of this boutique.

"Welcome, Mrs. Wu. Madam Li has been waiting for you inside the VVIP Room. This way please." The woman spoke politely to Fan Mei and led them toward the VVIP Room.

Along the way, Ming Yue noticed customers' eyes were drawn to them. They threw curious glances as they moving forward. Ming Yue noticed that Fan Mei and Lin Zhao didn't react at all, probably because they already got used to have eyes directed at them. The one that wasn't used to that was Ming Yue, herself and Ling Mao who held her hand tightly, looking so nervous. From behind, Yang Lixin stared at Ling Mao's expression with amus.e.m.e.nt, the little girl's nervous behavior tickled his heart.

"Ah, you're here." A cool sounded voice of a woman spoke as soon as they arrived at the VVIP Room.

Ming Yue stared at the woman, she had short hair and her bang was styled slightly messy. She wore sleeveless shirt with opened button at the first and second, emphasizing her big c.h.e.s.t which some women rarely had and black tight skirt. The woman's attitude has the typical independent woman aura radiating from her body. However that was not what caught Ming Yue's attention, it was other thing.

"Li Li, Sorry for making appointment so suddenly." Fan Mei spoke familiarly, showing that she had close relationship with the woman.

"Hmph, aren't you always like that?" The woman snorted, her expression didn't show any dislike, as if the things Fan Mei did was the usual thing.

Giggling, Fan Mei turned to the group behind her "This is my best friend, Lian Li and Li Li, you already met my daughter. I want you to meet another one, this girl is Ming Yue. I adopted her, so now she is a proud member of Wu Family~"

"My name is Wu Ming Yue, p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to meet you, Madam." Ming Yue greeted politely, her eyes met Lian Li's.

Lian Li frowned at Ming Yue, as if she noticed something about her just like Ming Yue did about her. "Adopted?" She asked, turning her gaze to Fan Mei.

"Mn! Adopted, I will tell you the details later. Oh! The little girl is Ling Mao and the man is Yang Lixin, Yue'er's bodyguard."

Yang Lixin gave Lian Li a firm nod, "P.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to meet you, Ma'am."

"Pl-P.l.e.a.s.u.r.e tomeet you!" Ling Mao greeted nervously, causing Yang Lixin who saw her cute behavior, to smile softly.

"P.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to meet you as well." Lian Li replied, "On to business then, what kind of dress do you want?" She asked, handling the catalogues to Fan Mei. Her hand gestured them to have a sit on the sofa. Yang Lixin stood behind Ming Yue who took a seat next to Fan Mei while Ling Mao sat next close to Ming Yue.

"I want two for me and Zhao'er, five for Yue'er and Mao'er." Fan Mei said, opening one of the thick catalogues casually while sitting on the comfy looking sofa.

Hearing her mother's words, Ming Yue's eyes widened in surprise. "Five, mother?" she asked in disbelief.

"Yes, since you are a member of Wu Family, sometimes you have to go to parties. The dresses will serve for that purpose, of course I only order five for now. We will buy more in the future." Fan Mei explained while her eyes still sweeping through the catalogues.

"I.. see.." Ming Yue replied while still looking surprised.

Lin Zhao bit her lower lip to prevent giggles erupted from her mouth, Ming Yue saw her sister's eyes twinkled with amus.e.m.e.nt upon seeing her reaction, could only throw her a soft glare. Lin Zhao poked her tongue out after receiving a soft glare from Ming Yue.

"Li-Ling Mao too?!" Ling Mao stared at Ming Yue, her eyes showed how surprised she was. "Is that okay, Master?"

Lian Li's brows twitched slightly upon hearing the word 'Master' coming out of Ling Mao's mouth, she stared at the little child. Ming Yue patted Ling Mao's head gently, "It's okay. Just accept it." She said in reassuring tone.

"Nn!" Ling Mao who felt relieved after being reassured by Ming Yue, replied such.

"Ah, I have to know about the size of the two. Can you both come with me for a second?" Lina Li asked to Ming Yue and Ling Mao.

Standing up from her seat, Ming Yue answered calmly. "Of course."

Both Ming Yue and Ling Mao followed Lian Li to her office with Yang Lixin followed behind them. As they entered the office, Yang Lixin stood in front of the door, waiting for Ming Yue.

"You don't need to know about my size." Ming Yue spoke as soon as the door closed behind her. "..You already knew it just by looking at me."

"Indeed." Lian Li turned around to face Ming Yue, her face became serious. "You realized it as soon as you saw me."

Ming Yue smiled coldly, "So did you." She said, "I am quite surprised though."

"To think I will meet a 'Cultivator' in this place."
