Rebirth: A Woman With Frozen Heart

While Ming Yue was contemplating the matter of how she should deal with Ye Wang Wei, the man himself was in shocking state. Ye Wang Wei couldn't believe of what he had seen. A man just disappeared like that, using a talisman just like those fantasy movies! What the hell was happening here?!

"That... Who are you..?" Wang Wei asked with a demanding tone. "No.. More like WHAT are you?"

Hearing the demanding tone of Ye Wang Wei, the four beasts' face became ugly. Qing Long and Bai Hu were about to step forward toward the man but Ming Yue stopped them.

"Stop. He is a mortal, it's not worth it." Ming Yue spoke in calm manner. She didn't want her friends to dirty their hands because of one annoying mortal.

Even though Qing Long and Bai Hu were dissatisfied, they did what Ming Yue said. Bai Hu glared at the man, his eyes glowed in blue color. "Mortal.. better down your tone when you speak to my lady or I will shred you to pieces." Bai Hu growled in low tone as he let out a little bit of bloodthirst.

Wang Wei gulped an air once as he felt the bloodthirst. Even though it might just a little bit for Bai Hu but for a mortal such as Wang Wei, the bloodthirst was enough to make his pores became tingly and shivers crept down to his spine. As his body was tensed up with caution, Ming Yue answered his question.

"I am sorry, I can't answer your question."

Frowning, Wang Wei asked her. "Why?"

"Because you won't remember anything." Ming Yue replied calmly.

Wang Wei wanted to ask what did her words mean but his vision suddenly turned blurry and soon darkness claimed his consciousness. Ming Yue watched how Ling Mao made the man unconscious as he fall to the ground with a loud thudding sound. Lines were over her head as she realized that the four beasts, Yang Lixin and Ling Mao didn't want to help the man when he fell but they let him fell to the ground hard instead.

'These people...' Ming Yue sighed, holding back the urge to put her palm on her face.

'Their resentment for this man is quite big, huh?'

"Young miss, about the conversation before.." Yang Lixin spoke in careful tone, didn't want to offend Ming Yue.

Ming Yue stared at her bodyguard for a while before letting out a soft sigh. The truth was, she didn't want to drag her bodyguards to this kind of world but after he pledged loyalty in such manner, Ming Yue couldn't helped but agreeing. Ming Yue realized now that she was being foolish for wanting to have a quiet and peaceful life.

'Having power like this.. means I have to be careful with who I interact with..'

'..My naivety has brought more problems instead.. especially to Wu Family..'

Closing her eyes, Ming Yue lamented such thoughts inside. She was truly stupid for realizing that important fact far too late. Being reincarnated and having the soul of 25 years old woman, Ming Yue couldn't believe that she was still as stupid as she was back then. Opening her eyes, Ming Yue met Yang Lixin's gaze.

"I will tell you everything when we return. Be patient for now." Ming Yue spoke with a soft smile before her face turned serious as she turned her gaze to the policeman. It seemed Ling Mao had finished tampering with his memories.

"How is he?" Ming Yue asked Ling Mao who had returned to her cat form.

"The memory tampering is done. He will wake up soon Master, so it would be better to leave as soon as possible." Ling Mao answered.

Nodded once, Ming Yue glanced at the college girls who were now lying on the ground after Rui Chang Hu escaped. Since this policeman would open his eyes soon, it was better to leave the girls in his care. Moving her feet, Ming Yue left with Ling Mao beside her and the group followed her from behind.

As the group finally arrived at Wu Mansion, Ming Yue told Yang Lixin to follow her to the living room. Entering the living room, Ming Yue turned around to face Yang Lixin who already closed the door behind him.

"You have questions and I am going to answer it, just like I promised." Ming Yue said and raised her hand. "Touch my hand."

Yang Lixin stared at the hand for a while then moved his gaze to Ming Yue. They stared at each other without saying any words before Yang Lixin lifted his hand and held Ming Yue's, bracing himself for anything come what may.

However just as he was bracing himself, Ming Yue smiled and the scenery changed. Yang Lixin blinked for a while when Ming Yue released her hand off his hand and watched how she entered the ancient palace that was standing gloriously before him along with the four guardians and Ling Mao.

"What are you doing?"

Yang Lixin who was staring at the palace before him with slackened jaws, finally focusing his gaze at Ming Yue who was standing at the palace entrance. Seeing the amus.e.m.e.nt twinkled in the depth of his Young Miss's eyes, Yang Lixin assumed that his Young Miss was expecting him to react like this.

'Really this girl..'

'Even though sometimes she looks cold and indifferent, there is a mischievous side of her, huh?'

Musing that inwardly, Yang Lixin smiled in resignation at the young girl before followed behind her to enter the magnificent palace. As he arrived at the living room, there he saw all of Wu family members. Grandpa Wu was watching TV with Shi Jian and Fan Mei while the twins were playing cards on the carpet.

"Oh?" Grandpa Wu who was sitting on a comfy sofa, torn his gaze off the TV when he noticed Yang Lixin entered along with Ming Yue. A knowing smile appeared on his face and seeing his smile, Yang Lixin couldn't helped but feeling that the older man knew things would become like this.

"Finally you have gained access to this place huh, bodyguard Yang."

Shi Jian and Fan Mei chuckled, shaking their heads as they watched Grandpa Wu was teasing Yang Lixin. Yang Lixin only smiled sheepishly, didn't know what to say.

"Please sit down, Yang Lixin." Ming Yue said as she sat at one of the empty couch. "I will explain everything now, to all of you."

Thus, after Yang Lixin took a seat near Ming Yue, she started the explanation. It began with her past life and reincarnation, her power, the heavenly space, the four beasts, her doubtful identity as Chang'e, everything. The rest of Wu family was surprised to hear that Ming Yue was the reincarnation of Moon Goddess, Chang'e. Of course Zhu Que and Ling Mao also added the part where Chang'e was betrayed by a fellow goddess and had to fall to Mortal Realm because of that.

"I see.. no wonder the four guardians are with you.." Grandpa Wu muttered and sighed, "..To think Heaven Realm and Demon Realm really exist.."

"..At first I don't want to tell you all yet, because I still doubt that I am Chang'e." Ming Yue said with a grimace, "But I can't explain everything to Yang Lixin without explaining the reason why Little Yin said that I was the one who made her and her ability."

"...I still don't have all memories of Chang'e yet."

"Well, even though you are reincarnation of Moon Goddess. Yue'er, you are still the member of Wu Family." Shi Jian said.

"Yes, you are our precious daughter." Fan Mei added.

"..Now that I know this.. it makes me want to train more!" Lin Shao stood up from the floor.

"This child, ah. That is all you can think about day and night." Fan Mei scolded her son lightly.

"But mom! Sister Yue fall to Mortal Realm because she was betrayed. Now that Sister Yue regaining her memories of her past life little by little, the goddess who betrayed her might come again! I want to be by Sister Yue's side, fight along side her when that happens." Lin Shao retorted.

"Don't worry about that. We won't let that goddess hurts My Lady again. You should take things slowly, there is still time." Bai Hu said, trying to reassure the agitated Lin Shao.

"To think there will be a day you can speak reasonable words.. The sky will crumble it seems." Qing Long commented.

"What was that?! I am always reasonable!" Bai Hu said in anger, glaring at Qing Long.

"I doubt that." Qing Long retorted calmly, "Someone who asked a little girl to curse someone because of a silly game can't be a reasonable one."

"At least it's better than a certain someone who post stupid poetry on Famebook all the time!" Bai Hu said.

"Poetry is high class hobby! a lame cat won't know its beauty!"

"War Game is more cool! a stinky lizard won't understand its greatness!"

*Wush!* *Wush!*

"GGUUUHH!!" Both Bai Hu and Qing Long was hit by flame balls on the forehead.

"Are you guys going to keep on fighting?" Ming Yue asked, her tone was icy cold as she stared at the two men. Her eyes gazed sharply at them.

Seeing the sharp gaze of their Master, both Bai Hu and Qing Long answered in sync, "No, Master." Both of them became so docile that it made Xuan Wu snickered softly and only managed to hold himself back when Zhu Que threw a warning glare at him.

"As punishment, I will confiscate your smartphones for three days." Ming Yue said.

Hearing that, both Bai Hu and Qing Long wore a face as if the world had ended and Xuan Wu who couldn't hold back anymore, finally burst in laughter very hard while Zhu Que sighed in resignation, rubbing her temple with her eyes closed.
